ANyway, I'm sad because I've only got two X-Men issues left to read and then the Magik miniseries before I'm done with the third Omnibus and then that is it as far as the 80s magic goes. As much as I'm looking forward to reading the last of Claremont's run, I have loved being able to read all of these issues in order. It's not something I can do very often with older comics and is a shame that the rest have not been properly collected in this manner.

Had some money and some free time, picked up the War Machine two pack from Target and Punisher from Walgreens (Their website is so useful for finding stock!).
Man, Walgreens is on a roll, first Namor and now Punisher, they're such great figures! |

I just got the walmart Bucky and just about everything on this guy is stuck. I've had to "break" just about every joint to get it to move. However, the lower legs look like the move but I can't seem to get them to move. Can someone confirm that they do move. Just to be clear, I'm talking about the boot cut.

Man oh man, WB had the best animated content back in the day. Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim, Tiny Toons, Taz-Mania, Men In Black. All great. Too bad that wonderful era of animated TV had to come to an end.
Took some pics of ML Infinite Space Knight - Electro. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Speaking of the new Bucky figure, someone a few days ago asked about fitting the Winter Soldier head from the first figure on the new Walmart Winter Soldier, and yes, they do fit. I finally managed to dig them up for a pic... ![]() Still not sure what he saw in the original head sculpt that the new one doesn't do better, but again, to each his own. ![]() The masked head does fit on the new Winter Soldier body as well, although it is a bit more loose than the unmasked one for some reason. Also, a special shout out to resident Arker Starlord67, who helped a fellow in deed, as I needed an extra Rogue head badly so I could display my custom with my current, and he came through with no questions asked, all while asking nothing in return. You are awesome my friend! It made for a great birthday present! ![]() |

Had to buy another Amazon Thor since my figure's left arm completely broke off at the bicep (the peg was already torn when I got it so it was only a matter of time).
Now that I have a Thor I actually feel comfortable posing, I've gotta say it's probably the best Thor figure we've received in the Legends line period. The height is pretty much perfect, the articulation is great and the detail is immaculate. I wish we got a comic Thor with half as much effort put into it as this guy. |

My Extremis Iron Man arrived! Now I have all the pieces to create the terror that is Terrax (again many nods to Kirathis who supplied me with most of the BAF pieces). Sadly I will have to rummage to find the head but I know I have it around here somewhere.

The FAMAS came from the "Mercanary Gunman" figure from Resaurus/Plan B Toys excellent military themed "Special Forces" toy line. The flash hider at the end of the barrel was damaged, so I cut it off to convert it into a stub nose. Special Forces Action Figures, series two - Plan-B Toys - RTM Spotlight The AUG-STYR came from a Toys R Us brand generic G.I.Joe line "True Heroes/Sentinel 1" figure, although I don't remember which set or figure it came with exactly. Although these figures are done in 3.75 to 4 inch scale, the weapons for them tend to be a bit oversized and actually work quite well with most Marvel legends figures. Here's a couple of examples... (The Barrett in the first picture came from the face off Punisher/Jigsaw [white suit] two pack in case you are wondering. All other weapons are from the TRU "Sentinel 1" line.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And for when you need to kill every mutha****er in the room...accept no substitute... ![]() Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 09-09-2016 at 05:26 PM.. |

No problem! I figured you were referring to the masked head as the other one is pretty dreadful, and the new one was way better. It was also good to see exactly what was different on the figs in trying this out, as I had never compared them side by side before this. Glad I could help!

So I finished the 90s Spider-Man toon and boy was that final season terrible. The Six Forgotten Warriors arc was down right boring and I do not like how lackluster they treated both Red Skull and Cap. However, that is nothing compared to the insulting MJ is a water clone that followed it. That was a total cop out and one of the biggest middle fingers they could have given their audience. Whoever thought that was a good idea was a stupid idiot and this show deserved to get canceled after that abomination of an idea. Now, I have never read Secret Wars, so I have no idea if the storyarc was even remotely close to the comics, but I have a feeling it was not. The treatment they gave Cap continued to be detrimental to the character and this is exactly the reason why I never bothered to try to be a Cap fan back then. This show did the character a horrible injustice. Of course, they couldn't even get the FF right here. Hell, the movies have done a better job at portraying the family that this travesty. Ben is written to be a complete and utter moron and Sue is even more useless. Not just that, but Doom doesn't even speak in third person. At least they got his arrogance right.
Finally, we come to the original Spider-Verse. I do like the idea that Spider-Carnage is the final villain for the series, but this story should have really been a five parter as it is extremely rushed and we don't even get a proper ending for Peter and MJ. Overall, I am so glad to be done with this show. It was not what I remembered it to be which is a shame because I expected to feel less about X-Men and that show holds up quite well today. This show is the exact opposite of that with poor animation, terrible editing, bad characterization and the plot is god awful, especially for the final two seasons. I have no idea why they chose to go with a children's version of The Death of Gwen Stacy for the end of the third season, but that was a far better ending than what we got. Either way, MJ is lost, but at least it would have had some dignity left. The voice acitng is really its only saving grace as everything else is just a mess. If I had to choose a favorite episode or two it would be Goblin War!, The Hobgoblin, Framed, and The Man Without Fear. As for the worst episodes of the show, that is hard because there were so many, but The Return of Hydro Man, Rocket Racer, The Lizard King, and Partners are definitely up there. Actually, The Return of Hydroman are probably THE worst episodes of the series. The stock animation throughout the series was pretty awful and obvious. The animation itself is so cheap looking, choppy, poorly edited with a lot of unnecessarily long close up shots of character heads, broken line that look like the animators wanted the viewers to play "Connect the Dots," lip movements that didn't match up with the dialog, and outdated CGI. Now bad CGI can be ignored when a good narrative is involved (look at Beast Wars), but ultimately, this show is not the least bit spectacular to keep you distracted from. The music is cool at times, but it's like they stopped making new music for it after the first season and just reused the same music over. Oh, and did they really need to recap the same whiny tones at the beginning of every episode? Lastly, what was up with the Sinister Six being called the Insidious Six? Was the name Sinister trademarked? In the end, I give this show a 5/10. It's pretty average as far as a comic book show goes and the amount of villains used seemed to regress into the same few after a while. I love Scorpion as a much as the next guy, but why did it take 60 episodes to bring in Electro? Not to mention their treatment of him was down right insulting. What about the Enforcers? Or the Tinkerer? Beetle? Big Man? Carrion? Shriek? Rose? Well, that is pretty much it outside of finishing Ultimate Spider-Man's third season on Netflix unless I can find a site that is streaming Wolverine and the X-Men and Silver Surfer.

I have pre-ordered 2 figures from the abomination wave via ebay the seller informed me that their supplier shipped to him at the beginning of the week. So they might hit stores this week or next in the US.

I told you they just never cleared up what happened to MJ, then he meets stan lee blah blah blah. I've watched ultimate spider man or whatever it is on Disney a few times however i can't get fully into it. The lead voice actor for spider-man is just simply annoying. |
