Hey guys! I really liked the unveiled figures for the 2017 waves. When do you think we'll see any Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 figures revealed? Could it be sometime before the Toy Fair next year since in November the trailer will come out with Strange.

PERFECTION. I need this in reality.
I don't see an official reveal until ToyFair, but I do remember that the Giant-man wave was revealed early at some convention overseas last year. So there's always a chance. |

They've done that for a while, and TRU used to do that as well (though it was behind a hinged door above the shelf). If anything, it's smart, because if they're doing it with the Thanos wave, it means that the employees know that there's new stuff to put on the pegs, but can't rotate it in because the old stuff needs to be bought. Solution - put the old stuff on the shelf up top, and newer stuff on the pegs. That way they can rotate in the newer figures, while the older stuff is still technically on the floor and available for purchase. Also keeps them from having to move stuff from the floor into the back, which from what my friends at retail have said, isn't something stores usually want done.
I'd say it's 'efficient' more than 'lazy'. Besides, those top-stacks are why I was able to find a Spider-Gwen for a friend when I have otherwise not seen her in the wild since her release. ![]() |

Hey I had to reach up on top like that to get Deadpool! The Wal-Mart where I got him had full stuffed pegs (mostly absorbing man wave peg-wamers) but they had brought out a fresh X case to stock and they just put them all up on top since the pegs were full. At my regular Wal-Mart they just put the sad Rhino wave leftovers up there to collect dust and even though I know they're all just the Rhino wave rejects I still pull them all down to check if anything's different up top.

While I know that the new Legends Strange is closer to his current look, in the comic, I actually like the way that the cloak and effects look on the Hulkbuster wave Strange more, as well as the paint apps on the original's head (which are different in case anyone is wondering.) Something about the darker colors on the Hulkbuster Strange really bring out a nice contrast to brighter reds on the cloak, not to mention those gauntlet forearms, essentially meaning I dropped 15 bucks for some accessories. I've done worse though...lol.

I thought about that but I have some angel wings I want to try and use to give it a more of a feather look.

@ Veronica M: very nice job with Psylocke
@ Trivial: That's the one figure from the Strange wave I was on the fence about buying..for those same reasons. Now I think I'll pass on that one and just find the Dorm BAF arm elsewhere.

Veronica Mars, VERY nice Psylocke!
Also went out toy hunting last night and in no less than 3 of 6 places saw remnants of the Dr. Strange wave. Even Enchantress at two different places, can't remember which though. I did end up buying MCU Dr Strange (the fourth one I have the wave now) even though I wasn't going to get him, but in hand he really looks like a less gaudy version of his iconic outfit, which I've always disliked. I really like the toned down vibe of it. Saw Iron Fist and now that I saw him in person I get what people are saying about the body. It's a horrible buck for him. Ironically saw a Green Iron Fist right next to a White Iron Fist on the pegs. and now, I present to you my rage picture for the backstock on last years figures. |

While I will concede the new buck for Iron Fist is a little small, I really have enjoyed posing it. The white version I just can't stand that buck for some reason. Haven't liked it on any figure they've used it for. Man gripes I have for the Pizza Spidey buck on Iron Fist is the hips not being abe to allow for higher kicks. Also hated the transparent arms so I stick with the taped fists. But to each their own.

NYCC isn't a big reveal event since it's more focused on comics than SDCC. In the interview/round table with the ML design team, they pretty much said they had nothing more planned until Toy Fair, as far as reveals go. Hell, the Adam Warlock and Death's Head II reveals were more than we usually get from NYCC. EDIT: Got another amazing toy swap - this one actually made me laugh. A friend of mine was checking a store across town and found this beauty. ![]() That's the drill arm from Energon Optimus Prime's combined mode. What a weird one to swap in.

It's been going since Thursday, and goes until tomorrow. Wednesday was just Hasbro's "Twas The Night Before" event, and that was the extent of their reveals (other than showing off Trypticon's leg during the Transformers panel).
