Thanks! What's AS? Also would you recommend the ff spiderman for its price point?
I am guessing "AS" is Amazing Spider-man. Those Scorpion and Sandman figures are about perfect from that line. I would pass on the FF spidey unless you are trying to get every version of the character. The FF white Doom is not worth it (IMO= In My Opinion) and since they are most likely never going to do the Freedom Foundation white Fantastic Four members I would not bother with Spider man. The Fantastic Four we next see will most likely be for a movie line or in the ugly new Red and Black outfits.

Are you collecting MOC or loose? If loose, I suggest searching eBay for Marvel Legends lot, loose, etc and search within your price range. And sometimes some auctions get unnoticed and go for way less then they should of, other times it gets into a bidding war, and you just have to step away. use Marvellegends.net for a reference site, some of the Toybiz figures can bought cheap some not so much. Especially when it comes to moc, your shipping cost is going to factor in on the overall price. The Xmen boxset both new and old are good ways to get bulk figures. Or buy a wave of figures at a time. Pick up any ROML or IM3 figures you can that are probably cheap at retail as their decent figures and at discounted prices why not. look into Marvel Select as well, some impressive pieces for under $30 for the most part, especially Juggernaut, Abomination, Hulks.

You may find that a customiser is looking for that Electro eventually. I have seen the blue Ghost Rider head on it and it wasn't too bad, but I'm sure there are tons of figures that it could be used for.

You got the WHOLE set for $110 all in?? That's awesome!

Generally a manufacturer will shortpack an item when they think it won't sell as well as the others, not the other way around. The one(s) with the largest case ratio(s) are assumed to be the most popular and assumed to be the highest seller(s) in the case. So giving the shortpacked figure a piece of a BAF ensures that it will sell to someone looking to complete the BAF.

Also, the prevailing "wisdom" in the toy industry seems to still think that female figures in a toy line aimed at boys will not sell as well as other figures in the same line.

Having said that, I still find it very odd that there is not an equal number of BAF parts, regardless of who gets them. This is the main reason I think Hasbro will release a revision case to help even out the numbers.

Scott "Toy Guru" Neitlich works for Mattel, not Hasbro.

Honestly I think the adult collector's are keeping this line going well, I see the stuff aimed more towards kids and it just peg warms like crazy!

Found a Infinite Boomerang, did anyone need him? 25 shipped pm me if interested.

I kinda wanted a few renditions of spidey..like black symbiote, 2099, and even future foundation. But for $50 I'm not sure if ff spidey is worth it or if we'll get him in another wave in a yr or so. When you say amazing spiderman line do you mean the movie or the spiderman figures? Link please
And thanks for the advice!

I'm mainly collecting loose spiderman figures..i'm trying to resist getting sucked into the iron man. I was looking at both waves for the iron monger series last night at bbts and was tempted, but I really need to limit myself, otherwise it'll be lkke my mu collection..in terms of marvel select, how do the spiderman figs compare with legends in terms of scale? I know theyre articulation is not as goood, but the details are real nice for rhino. Ebay might be the way to go, unless someone here is trying to get rid of a lot of figs.

Nice display you got there Zoffy, glass works great because it allows light to go through the lower shelves. I've got mine in some shelves above my desk. It's kind of tight. Wish I had more space to spread them out and also lighting is an issue. Gonna need to figure out how to set it up. Been looking into LED lighting below the shelves to light them up. I pretty much have them all covered up in acrylic glass sheets. I'll post a pic up when I can to show you what I mean. The sheets work great. Just buy some of these like 60 cent cabinet catches and a few small nuts and bolts and you got yourself some dust protection! Also keeps them from smashing down on the table.

My MCU figures are on top of my glass multi shelf display case, but the wall mounted shelves are large acrylic sheets I got cut from Tap Plastics. In my Detolf display cases, I have some led strips running along the front of each shelf that work great, Dioders from Ikea I think. Highly recommend them for a clear shelving setup. I don't have any Legends figures in my Detolf anymore, but here's a shot of them lit up. Puts a smile on my face every time.

I've been calling Targets on my days off and they've all been very helpful. It was by chance I walked into this one. The TRUs here don't have racks for the captain America legends here.

Yeah, they hit the TRU's this past weekend. A buddy picked up Winter Soldier for me, but he took Black Widow. I found Cap at the Parmer location.

Do you think that means it should be hitting SA soon?

Decided to keep the Cap Infinite Baron Zemo, he looks pretty bad ass I have to say. Red Skull I'm still on the fence though.

I agree with Red Skull not being....enough. The overcoat is good, head and weapons are good, but the body should have been a new sculpt and preferrably all black with high lighted buckles etc.

Which body sculpt did they give him? Also I ordered the Punisher legends hoping that it was the red shirt variant to go with my TB set, alas it was the white one even though in the beginning it was his red shirt.

I'd heard that it was the face-off Punisher body, but I could be mistaken. I just think that the hip joints on Skull should have been left a thing of the past, but also it would have been nice to see him in a black suit. I think Zemo is outstanding, and Skull should have gotten the same treatment, he is after all Cap's greatest villain, but who knows? Maybe he'll show up again somewhere and be given a do-over...

As I promise, here is the pick:

I actually like to see the 3 versions of the character in figure form, even with the different scale, they all look good

^ yeah I checked like 8 different targets, the black widow went quick. I checked the night before and missed her what a bummer. Hopefully they send this wave out a few more times.
