Oh yeah, I agree, and I know that if there's a particular TF that I gotta have in my collection, I'll fork over full retail for it. It's also why I haven't bought many of the RID2015 figures, despite wanting them - at $15 each, it's hard to justify the price (especially since another $6 will get me another ML figure) - but when TRU had their $10 sale on 'em, I snagged a couple.

But it's hard not to rib someone who spent full-price on a bunch of the Combiner Wars box sets literally a month before they started showing up at Ross for $40 bucks or less.

Those are Icons. Yeh, Dark. There are many more...Dark Beast (Wtf?) The re-purposed Daredevil/Cyclops-Antman-Goliath-Black Goliath. There's a Punisher and an Astonishing Wolverine that was really very well sculpted.

MarvelLegends.Net - Icons

Those. ToyBiz did them so incredibly well. I still have several of them.

Hasbro's ones were decent, if not flawed, but were still pretty good, although their Punisher was a huge let down thanks to its articulation issues.

Anyone tried to swap out the sand effects that came with Symbiote Spidey into the SDCC sandman? I have SDCC version and only plan on buying Symbiote so I was hoping those effects could work with SDCC version.

EDIT:

Now that I think about it, the Cap and Iron Man I viewed also appeared to be up-scaled Legends.
I do not really remember the Icons. I think they came out between my periods of collecting. As for these new figures, definitely scaled up Legends. The maskless head sculpts look new but everything else looks like scaled up pieces of other Spider-Man Legends. If I could get them for $20 I would consider getting Cap and Iron Man.

I believe Dr Kain posted some pictures to that effect a few pages back.

Yeah, they don't work out really well, which I'm not surprised at, but would have been cool nontheless. The shoulders also seem to be a different sculpt on the BAF version compared to the SDCC one.

About 2800-3000 if you took the time to part it out, if you go for large lots, or the whole thing at once you'll get screwed. For some reason I always see full collections go under value, I guess there's just not a lot of people looking for full collections? Mind you I don't know a hell of a lot about DC figures, I low balled them at 10 a piece for the math on the single figs, I know stel fetches about 25, and a complete gigantic is in the 80 range. I only put 100 on your WW hulk, as the market for customs is fickle at best, but honestly I'd pay 200 for him without blinking.

Edit: add about 1800, the pics below the Foom pic didn't load till now. So my final tally would be in the neigorbhood of 5000, again I'm low balling...

Ken, you got one hell of a collection. it's probably up there in the couple thousand dollar range. keep in mind as Kylactus said, some of those figures will fetch more money then the others. such as the BAF figures, the steel, cyborg supers etc go for more then the average figure.

Are you planning on insuring them or planning on selling them ?

Dude, if your going for insurance double what I said, anything that depreciated from being opened should be reported at full retail, go through eBay and find the highest prices on each piece, and on the customs report them as art, I'd say what you paid+ 10%. Or if you made it, materials, time, and comprerables to figure the price. Remember when insuring a collection it's not strictly the hard and fast value of the items to figure for, but all the time and expense of amassing the collection. Say for instance you paid 80 for deadpool six months ago, to have him early, now he goes for 30, you lost 50 in actual value, but for insurance purposes that is still an 80$ piece of your collection.

It looks like the new 12 inch line might be DOA given how heavily discounted they already are. Good news is Hasbro might get some good reuse out of the bodies to make larger characters, like how they ended up using Icons Cyclops to make Giant-Man and Black Goliath. Maybe we could get a new Sentinel out of the Iron Man body.

I'm amazed at your Walmart. Do they have a blind person working at Customer Service? Is it THAT hard to look at the back of the box and go, "Hey, this isn't the same figure!" Good god I hate fucking lazy ass retail employees. They should die in a fire and go to the eigth circle of Hell for participating in these scams.

My fiance and myself brought back 3 of 5 inch Power Ranger figures one day, and when we handed then to one of their cashiers, they simply rescanned it or whatever and literally just give it an over head toss into a shopping cart, without care... honestly i agree with you but do you blame them ?? Minium wage, bad work hours etc

I'm amazed that they actually have the BAF parts that originally came with those figures. Baf parts always seem to be different when people swap. What jerks.

This problem won't change until Hasbro changes the package. But you know what that means, $25 figure.

Dorkside has Cap for $20:
Marvel Legends 12 inch Captain America

Of course, you'll either have to pay shipping cost or spend $69 there to get free shipping.
