				 | Quote: So I read the first volume of the 2009 series where Miguel gets his new suit and well, it was all right. The story for the comic was meh and the sad part was I read through all 5 issues in about the same amount of time as it has been taking me to read through a single issue of the original Spidey run. I'm not sure if that shows how little plot there is in a modern day comic or if I'm just reading through the 60s stuff at a slower pace. Either way, should I be concerned? Anyway, so I didn't hate the new suit as I was expecting to. In fact, I love the little blue lights he has on the suit. The problem is that I just don't see a reason for this new suit to exist. There was nothing in here that made me think, "Oh man, I am so happy he has an entirely new suit for that battle because he really needed it." It seems to be nothing more than a cosmetic change. Okay, cool, he can fly like Iron Man now, because that is exactly what I felt he was missing before. I also don't like how they through this new Captain America woman at you without any proper introduction, she's just there. On the positive side, the conversation about The Wizard of Oz was hilarious and the one where Miguel mentions Rambo. |

2 packs could be the ideal way for us to get much needed characters that are bigger/need new tooling. I'd totally buy a reissue spider-man if it meant I got a proper doc ock with it

Premium Collectables just put the X-Men wave 2 up for pre-order for a March/April ship date. That probably means Feb for the US.

I was on marvelousnews and there's discussion about availability for upcoming waves at retail. They were talking about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Wave 1 about how easy it could be to find. Also said something more speculative that the X-Men BAF Warlock could be hitting an March/April release where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 BAF Titus hitting February/Early March release. Also we got Homecoming found in the computer systems of Walmart that could be coming pretty soon (they didn't mention) but I had found that out last night. And also we have GOTG Vol. 2 Wave 2. So wow that's a lot of waves XD Here's someone's predictions to what will be the top sellers in Wave 1 GOTG 2 ANGELA - will move from shelves because she's the lone female, she has a decades-long following from Spawn to Marvel fans, is a cosmic character and an Asgardian (so she has the Thor fan base behind her), and she's scantily clad. With bladed weapons. KID NOVA - Will ride the coattails of the Nova popularity, (and the Nova Corps is present in the GOTG movie universe) and he's a relatively popular current comic character, current comic book Avenger, and a "kid" that children will probably identify with, also with presence in the recent Spider-Man cartoon, this character's visibility is high in the last two years. DARKHAWK - A slick-looking figure with a fan base dating back to the 90s, with 2 decades of outcry for a toy to be made of this guy, who wouldn't stalk the stock boys down every toy aisle to get this figure? STAR-LORD - Movie headliner. Better Chris Pratt likeness than first release, short jacket, graphic tee... People will be all over this figure. I think we'll still stand a chance of seeing him at retail since he's two-per-case, but I doubt we'll be drowning in Star-Lord figures. DRAX - Anyone that fell in love with this character in Movie 1 will pick him up as an essential team member. Body is the same, but paint deco and new "angry warrior" head sculpt will get people to spend the money. YONDU - While colorful, was a minor supporting character in movie 1, and in movie 2 is apparently where he enters the spotlight, so I don't see shoppers running down the aisle to snag this character just yet. VANCE ASTRO / MAJOR VICTORY - Unfamiliar to movie-goers, out of the spotlight for a LONG time for comic fans (unless I missed something?) I doubt a Captain America shield will be enough to trick the consumer into snatching this figure up. There's no urgency behind this guy moving. I will pick him up, but he is the first of a new team to build, so how long will it take for him not to be lonely on my shelf? TITUS - The BAF is what I'd consider a more obscure/unknown, so this won't be a major motivator to move any particular characters off shelves to build this guy. You guys don't think these will be difficult to find at retail right? Civil War was very hard to find. But I don't think that will be the case for Vol. 2 |

there are like 3 characters that people know from that x-men wave , cyclops, colossus and wolvie , the others aren't well known, we have 20th century fox to thank for that it might be a weak wave for the general customer, unless your like us and kinda want all of them XD

				 | Quote: So when retail looks at their stock, they see they have 20 figures of the SPD variety, regardless of if it's the Sandman wave or the Absorbing Man wave (which is what is currently shelfwarming in my area.) As of right now, the stores should not have any or very very few GOG (Guardians) wave on the shelfs, freeing up their orders for waves of those. This is why the Dr. Strange and X-Men wave (minus Wolverine and Deadpool) were fairly easy to find, there was nothing noted on the shelves for their brands. I would be more worried about finding waves 2 and 3 of GOTG2 than this first one. You can expect the same scenario to happen with the Thor wave(2). Also so cool that the X-Men wave is coming up for preorder on sites now. I am worried it will be hard to find at retail, given we have XMN brand on the shelves, but as I'm totally going to order that online, it's not so much a concern for me but for those who dont' order online. |

Wow, I didn't know Nolan North took Uncharted's Big Head mode with him. Then again, with his ego...

Awesome Dio man! I think I may try my hand at a larger scale dio in the near future, most everything I have made up to this point have been for 3.75" but in the past year I built every BAF except Abomination and I really don't even collect 6"! I don't have DP yet, but once he is around $30 I will pick him up Also I grabbed FFF for a great deal thanks to a heads up from UKMU Last edited by K Dubious; 01-11-2017 at 10:28 AM.. |

The original Guardians have been gaining a little traction lately so I would expect we might see a few more of them. Hasbro already did a comic version of Yondu for their 3.5 line. Charlie 27 could be pieced together from mostly Hulk parts so he is an easy addition. |

				 | Quote: But I am cheap, I finished Space Venom thanks to Wal-mart selling them for $10 each and completed Dormammu thanks to Gamestops buy one get one free deal so they were only $9 each. I could have completed Abomination when Amazon had them as add on items for around $6, but there is not a single figure in that wave I wanted other than Scarlet Witch so I do have his head |
