Yes, but despite it's 2016 release, it's considered a "2017 wave", just like how LEGO "Winter" waves (whose "official" release dates are January) often end up in stores December or even November of the year before.

While I'm excited about the massive amount of Legends potentially being released in 2017, I'm beginning to become a little worried that the glut of Legends waves are going to result in even more peg-warmers, making many Legends harder to find than they should be.

For instance, in my area, I've only seen the Space Venom and Abomination waves in frustratingly small numbers, since there are still SOOOO many Dormammu, Onslaught, Allfather, etc... figures still on the pegs at full price.

For the first time since Hasbro switched to their movie tie-in format (starting with the Ultimate Goblin and Mandroid waves), Legends in my area are actually tough to find. Previously, even the so-called rare figures, like MCU Black Widow and MCU Rocket Raccoon, were easily obtainable over time, but at this point, I feel like I'm never going to spot MCU Scarlet Witch or Silk in stores.

At this point, it feels like we've returned to the infuriatingly inconsistent era of the Hit Monkey, Rocket Raccoon, Epic Heroes, and Arnim Zola waves, where sometimes, certain waves were available in abundance, while other waves were ostensibly no-shows (in my area at least).

Anyone else having an increasingly tougher time finding Legends in their area ?

Yeah I feel the same about Scarlet Witch. You have to buy her online and scalpers have her in their territory. However I bet you can find her online cheaper at Walmart but the shipping is like $1000 seriously speaking the shipping can kick your ass. It's a Godsend on ebay when there is free shipping. And true my stores way behind on Legends SO..I ended up ordering the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Wave 1 Star Lord! It should be here soon as next week! Honestly I never pay above retail for anything except GUARDIANS And I negotiated with this seller a lot I'M JUST GLAD IT WORKED OUT. I was getting stressed because I get the gist of Legends being hard to find. Not being able to find Scarlet Witch in stores was like a wake up call in that sense to me.

Even though the first movie I was able to find right when the movie came out. That was the first movie, and I think the first movies are easier to find compared to the current sequels. I'm just very happy I bought it. I don't blow money on everything I see so it was special to me.

Man, I still feel guilty for selling my Book of the Vishanti SDCC Brother Voodoo. (I bought the Transformers Kre-O convention set from that year, he sent me the Marvel Legends set because he's incompetent) I listed the figure for $30, but the bidding ended up at $65. Three weeks later, the Doctor Strange wave was announced at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con.
I felt dirty, like a scalper. "Shut up and go to Las Vegas right now" they told me.

I just needed to make that confession, I feel better. The point is I'm going to buy that $9 Brother Voodoo now because I sold my other one.
Randomly, here's a photo of Magik from that same convention set, who I will never ever sell.

I know this isn't Marvel Legends but I figured I'd post it here since a lot of people like GOTG. I received an email from Marvel Shop announcing new Select GOTG figures based on Bendis' run on the comic. The figures are up for preorder on marvelshop.com.

I haven't bought a Marvel Select before but I'm very tempted by that armoured Gamora.

I'm thinking of getting her on Alibaba (honestly I chose it because it sounds cool)XD anyway has anyone ever ordered Legends on there? I've been looking up some things and you can get a free sample but the shipping is like $100 FOR LIKE A FIVE OR SEVEN DOLLAR FIGURE?! I mean I haven't asked for a quote yet but I saw a forum thing. Is that how much the shipping is? I found it a lot cheaper on ebay but it's hell of a longer wait of course.

I've ordered a couple things from Aliexpress with good results.
Here is a link to what appears to be the same figure you linked.

You and me both. I don't yet have a Gamora because I've been holding out for the armored one in some capacity; depending on how good this looks next to the rest, I may have to bite.

Smart of Diamond to separate the 2 figures legends collectors would be most likely to fudge in. Honestly I like all of these except star lord. Depending on how they scale to legends, may have to pick em up

Looking at it again, that Drax is pretty killer too. I'm gonna be picking up the TRU Groot (and I can back-up Marvelfangirl's statement about the street date - friend who works at TRU confirmed that they're in the back, but even she can't buy one early, and she's tried) and I miiiiiiight get the new Star-Lord to fill in for a comics one, but the rest may come from here instead if they look good.

Especially since I'd be okay with Gamora and Drax being taller than the standard ML figures.

Though... it looks like Drax doesn't come with his knives? That's a pain...

Thanks guys! Alibaba it just looked confusing to me. Yeah I just found a better choice on ebay. And aliexpress! I was trying to find that site and couldn't find the name of it thanks!

I ordered the new Marvel Legends Star Lord (I think that's what you're referring to right?) He could be here soon as next week! I'm so EXCITED! I even bought some surprises so I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT And I'm also wanting to pick up Groot too! I was a little bummed about the release date for Groot but it's not that long of a wait. (I wasn't sure if you would be able to pick these up when they drop)

Scarlet Witch is readily available on Amazon for fairly reasonable prices. With Prime membership she's under $30.

I think I'll get this Groot over the smiling TRU version.

I'll probably get em all.

These look pretty cool. Star Lord holding the pink crystal is just like exactly from Legendary Star Lord #1 or #2 I believe. Bendis is one of my favorite writers of all time. I'm mixed though in terms of comic arcs with Bendis Star Lord's forced romance with an xcharacter, the way he wrote Jessica and Luke's romance was perfect and made so much more sense. SO these all look freaking amazing in terms of the comic aspect I'm mixed but hey I'll definitely look into it. I did enjoy the comics though Everthing was written to near perfection just the angle they went with it I wish the character he had a romance with had been Gamora. Because in the comics he has an awesome dynamic with her XD it had made a little more sense in my opinion..

I've wondered about that when reading, from time to time. While Quill is from Earth, he's pretty disconnected from it. I've always felt the inclusion of established heroes outside of the Guardians was an attempt to anchor them to Earth a bit (and, well, here we are), in addition to getting people who aren't interested in cosmic Marvel to care about the book. Stark, The Thing, Venom, Kitty Pryde, Captain Marvel for a bit.
I will say that Star Lord's relationship with Kitty has been one of the parts during the Bendis run I have enjoyed. It is an odd pairing, but Kitty is such a fun character. They have a good rapport.
I don't like his Gamora as much, she's been better. She's supposed to be the deadliest woman in the galaxy, not the grumpiest!
Now Rocket, on the other hand, he understands that guy beautifully.

Yes Rocket absolutely does. Baby Boo XD I see what you mean about Kitty. And what I felt including her in the GOTG stories was that getting people to care about the comic too, also I felt the reverse that they were trying to have her piggyback on the Guardians new success, X-Men are like a worldwide known comic fans everyone knows about the X-Men-the way the comic line was currently going I felt maybe they were trying to revive it with Guardians and personally I would have liked it more centered on the Guardians themselves, and in terms of Star Lord line more character development. But yeah I just felt some of the stuff was a little forced. And Gamora did feel more stuffy in that sense it made for a fun contrast though. I even looked as far back to when Mantis was on the team (not written by Bendis I believe) and how Star Lord persuaded everyone to join.

Mantis is a lot of fun, as well.
It was not written by Bendis, but cosmic Marvel between 2006 to 2010 was a golden age. For me, at least. From Annihilation to the Guardians, up until the Magus and that weird Cancerverse thing. And then they were like "Oh, whoops! These guys are popular now, just kidding they didn't die." They kinda wrote themselves into a corner, there.

Yep, I agree with that. I think that's one of the comic arcs I couldn't stand in terms of Guardians history. XD Then they rebooted it and added Iron Man to the team which was cool, and Star Lord got to tell him his origin and then Iron Man ended up with Gamora in this scene (that was freaking hilarious)
