Btw guys the exclusive Groot has been hitting stores in Cali now the street date however is March 1st. Some people were able to buy it now, some were blocked off from it.

While I'm excited about the massive amount of Legends potentially being released in 2017, I'm beginning to become a little worried that the glut of Legends waves are going to result in even more peg-warmers, making many Legends harder to find than they should be.
For instance, in my area, I've only seen the Space Venom and Abomination waves in frustratingly small numbers, since there are still SOOOO many Dormammu, Onslaught, Allfather, etc... figures still on the pegs at full price. For the first time since Hasbro switched to their movie tie-in format (starting with the Ultimate Goblin and Mandroid waves), Legends in my area are actually tough to find. Previously, even the so-called rare figures, like MCU Black Widow and MCU Rocket Raccoon, were easily obtainable over time, but at this point, I feel like I'm never going to spot MCU Scarlet Witch or Silk in stores. At this point, it feels like we've returned to the infuriatingly inconsistent era of the Hit Monkey, Rocket Raccoon, Epic Heroes, and Arnim Zola waves, where sometimes, certain waves were available in abundance, while other waves were ostensibly no-shows (in my area at least). Anyone else having an increasingly tougher time finding Legends in their area ?

That was the first movie, and I think the first movies are easier to find compared to the current sequels. I'm just very happy I bought it. I don't blow money on everything I see so it was special to me. ![]()

I felt dirty, like a scalper. "Shut up and go to Las Vegas right now" they told me. I just needed to make that confession, I feel better. The point is I'm going to buy that $9 Brother Voodoo now because I sold my other one. Randomly, here's a photo of Magik from that same convention set, who I will never ever sell. ![]() Quote:

I haven't bought a Marvel Select before but I'm very tempted by that armoured Gamora.

i've heard horror stories about that place. Remember the old saying, "If something sounds too good to be true, well then it probably is."

I'm thinking of getting her on Alibaba (honestly I chose it because it sounds cool)XD anyway has anyone ever ordered Legends on there? I've been looking up some things and you can get a free sample but the shipping is like $100 FOR LIKE A FIVE OR SEVEN DOLLAR FIGURE?! I mean I haven't asked for a quote yet but I saw a forum thing. Is that how much the shipping is? I found it a lot cheaper on ebay but it's hell of a longer wait of course. I've ordered a couple things from Aliexpress with good results. Here is a link to what appears to be the same figure you linked. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-...8.4.153.iFgJzV |

You and me both. I don't yet have a Gamora because I've been holding out for the armored one in some capacity; depending on how good this looks next to the rest, I may have to bite.

Smart of Diamond to separate the 2 figures legends collectors would be most likely to fudge in. Honestly I like all of these except star lord. Depending on how they scale to legends, may have to pick em up

Looking at it again, that Drax is pretty killer too. I'm gonna be picking up the TRU Groot (and I can back-up Marvelfangirl's statement about the street date - friend who works at TRU confirmed that they're in the back, but even she can't buy one early, and she's tried) and I miiiiiiight get the new Star-Lord to fill in for a comics one, but the rest may come from here instead if they look good.
Especially since I'd be okay with Gamora and Drax being taller than the standard ML figures. Though... it looks like Drax doesn't come with his knives? That's a pain...

These look pretty cool. Star Lord holding the pink crystal is just like exactly from Legendary Star Lord #1 or #2 I believe. Bendis is one of my favorite writers of all time. I'm mixed though in terms of comic arcs with Bendis Star Lord's forced romance with an xcharacter, the way he wrote Jessica and Luke's romance was perfect and made so much more sense. SO these all look freaking amazing in terms of the comic aspect I'm mixed but hey I'll definitely look into it. I did enjoy the comics though
![]() I will say that Star Lord's relationship with Kitty has been one of the parts during the Bendis run I have enjoyed. It is an odd pairing, but Kitty is such a fun character. They have a good rapport. I don't like his Gamora as much, she's been better. She's supposed to be the deadliest woman in the galaxy, not the grumpiest! Now Rocket, on the other hand, he understands that guy beautifully. |

I've wondered about that when reading, from time to time. While Quill is from Earth, he's pretty disconnected from it. I've always felt the inclusion of established heroes outside of the Guardians was an attempt to anchor them to Earth a bit (and, well, here we are), in addition to getting people who aren't interested in cosmic Marvel to care about the book. Stark, The Thing, Venom, Kitty Pryde, Captain Marvel for a bit.

Mantis is a lot of fun, as well.
It was not written by Bendis, but cosmic Marvel between 2006 to 2010 was a golden age. For me, at least. From Annihilation to the Guardians, up until the Magus and that weird Cancerverse thing. And then they were like "Oh, whoops! These guys are popular now, just kidding they didn't die." They kinda wrote themselves into a corner, there. |
