Provided they were not rehashes of existing figures in same costumes I would be willing to pay up to $200 for a five pack.

There are so many women of Marvel needed!
X-Men, the five mentioned as well as Australian Outback Psylocke and Dazzler, also Marrow, Monet, Magik (rumored coming) Wolfsbane, Cecelia Reyes, Syrin, Blink -I would buy all of these.
Avengers: Mockingbird, Crystal, Spectrum, Firestar, Sersi, Magdalene, Moondragon, Firebird..I'm sure others but that's all I've got right now.

And the villains. Oh the bad girls...Titania, Selene, Morgan Le Fay, Black Swan (a newer character but one that has stormed onto both toylines want list) Nebula, Deathbird, Sin, Moonstone, Hela, Superia, Enchantress, Typhoid Mary, Goblin Queen, Damask (yeah very minor character but I'd love to see that get made) Vertigo, Arclight, Crimson Cowl - probably others as well but that's a good number

And various Marvel characters: Misty Knight, Mary Jane Watson, Aurora, Guardian, Snowbird, Marina, Talisman, Dagger, Songbird, Angela, Silver Sable..

Now I know some of these are more minor characters that haven't a hope or prayer of getting made but just right there, that's getting close to 50 right there. And that's just the ones off the top of my head that I would be interested in purchasing. I'm sure other people would have their own additions.

The point to making this list just very quickly is there is a wealth of characters that could support a female-only subscription line for several years. While I don't have $2000 to throw down all at once if you spread that out over 2-3 years, it would definitely be doable for most die-hard collectors.

edit: yeah I added a few. But still mostly just off the top of my head.

The subscribtiion model is only something I would like Hasbro to offer after they have thrown in the towel at retail which we all know will happen sooner or later. I fear that they could only do subscribtion or retail, not both.

You can also do a wave of just Phoenix Five or people who are in phoenix power forms

Or even a wave where its just civilian clothed heroes. Like a civilian Tony Stark or Hawkeye, Cyclops, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Angel, general thunderbolt, Luke Cage, etc.
I don't think its fair to compare a wave of obscure supporting characters from years past (many of which would require new sculpting) or a wave of civilian form A listers (shelfwarm city!) to a wave of (mostly) A list females that there is obviously a huge fan base for and who wouldn't require any new parts aside from the Black Widow and Classic Ms Marvel heads. Spider Woman II and Lyra would probably be the easiest to find (or the hardest, as they are the only "new" characters, for Hasbro anyway).

Sign me up! I would love to see an all female wave, and I am a dude. Seeing as female figures are always the hardest to find in the wild or at your LCBS. Maybe a wave of 5 female figures that build a BAF female figure. Or maybe a variety of 2 pack likes the old school ML Face Off, BW/WS, and DP/WP packs. Or maybe and exclusive 5 pack like the latest ML TRU X-Men from Hasbro. Just to get a chance to get a few female action figures is a good thing.

I would really love an all female wave, but I just don't see it happening. If they announced it, I'd be all over it. And we could use some A-listers for sure. I think Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy are long overdue. Hell you could do the swap with them. With NYCC a few weeks away, we might get some small announcements. Personally, I'm waiting for that Target 3 pack with Miss Marvel in it. The old Toy Biz version hasn't held up, and I'm super happy we're getting Captain Marvel in her new outfit with that Avenger Wave.

An all female 5pack...$100-$160 would sell. The Thanos imperative sold quite well at that price point for 5 figures in which people only really wanted 2-3 of them overall. if not a 5 pack then how about a wave with at least 2 different females in the case.
So riddle me this: What 2 females would you most like to see in a single wave?

That's too hard to answer lol

Enchantress and Sif? And if not Sif then a remake of Valkerie

I'd buy the whole case for an ALL-FEMALE line (and there should be at least two lines - one heroes and the other villains - so put me down for two cases!). That said, a 5-pack is more likely which I would also purchase in a hearbeat...obviously.

If I was limited to only two characters, what would my choices be? Nova (Frankie Raye) and Crystal. However, there is a distinct possibility of an Inhuman pack/line given Black Bolt's and Medusa's appearance in the SDCC set. With this in mind, my substitute for Crystal would be Namora....she is simply too badass.

Although, there are so many I could replace these with...some mentioned: Snowbird & Aurora...Polaris & Sage. Some not mentioned: Ms Marvel (Sharon Ventura /She-Thing) & Clea...Meggan & Betsy Braddock (pink costume - my favorite look personally.....yes, my suggestions are obscure and random...I don't care). My vote is for a line. There are many male collectors that would buy them (we already are purchasing female figs) and it would be a way to expand the appeal by attracting even more female collectors. My motto has always been the more ladies the merrier!...take that however you will lol

is there some perception that female figures won't sell because its mostly a male hobby?

I've been buying collecting female figures since 1978 when Princes Leia came out. If there was a female in a line I bought her. Rogue in X-Men was a huge figure for us back in the 90's when 5" Toy Biz figs were hitting. Angela from Spawn, Wonder Woman and so many others. Look how hot Black Widow was and Jubilee is now.

Why can't companies just try it once. We want a 5 pack or a wave. COME ON!!!!!!

Just Justice and Firestar. And really only because they were part of that late 90's Avengers run. Just...never got into the NW.

I do want a New Warriors set (especially for 'Thrash), but I wasn't referring to Namorita. While she's cool, her mom (after a fashion) Namora, is cooler. Stronger in character (written better) and more powerful (well, she's Namor but a woman).

As far as the implied suggestion that female characters wouldn't be in demand. I perceived, what I believed to be (I could be wrong), an ever so slight incrimination that female figs couldn't support sales numbers. As far as the industry's take on the matter? Yes, I very much believe that it is an implicit belief (in the industry) that toy figures should be targeted at either male or female audiences (not both). As stupid as it seems, in 2014, lines aimed at males overwhelmingly feature a male focus and the vice versa is also true. There are many types of gender specific messages within almost every aspect of society....

Got a new shelf that allows me to display many more figures than before (as well as Figuarts boxes) so my ML collection has room to grow. My next planned purchase is going to be the Odin wave but I want the Thunderbolts and Thanos sets now too......damn you Hasbro!

I think what happens is that certain characters get typecasted as being poor sellers because of a previous figures performance (and they are most often female). Rogue is one character who I believe to be a top tier X Men with a huge fanbase and yet, the last single carded Rogue figure was in 2006. Hasbro has only released her in a 3 pack in the MU line. Im betting it is because all of her 5 inch figures (there were 5 or 6 of them and even as a kid I found them all, no internet required) were easy to find and her movie figures (like ALL of the movie figures) warmed shelves like crazy.. Polaris has only been made into a figure once, and it was available in every TRU, KB Toys and Thrifty's toy aisle for years after its release. Havok is a male character who, for some odd reason, has also been doomed to a lifetime of exclusives, fan polls and multipacks in this day and age.

I never once saw the Rogue figures when I was a kid. Same with the show accurate Cyclops. Only ever saw the X-Factor version.

IF anyone is looking for Captain America:WS Marvel Legends of Black Widow, Hydra agent, or AIM agent, keep and eye out. The new revision case is hitting stores. I saw Hydra and Aim soldiers at 1 TRU Wednesday and 3 different Walmarts had Widow, Aim or Hydra soldiers. One Walmart had the whole case untouched.

This is the case assortment I speak of if you do not know.

You could try rubbing alcohol. Or a product called Goo-Gone. or use a scalpel/knife and patience, sanding block.

Here's what I don't get. Lately, it seems like most of the BAF's parts are interchangeable. Iron Monger and Mandroid parts fit each other and I'm pretty sure they fit Ultimate Green Goblin too. So why don't the regular figures have matching ball joints and stuff? I picked up a second Marvel Now Cap yesterday because I want another Mandroid. I was thinking of using the movie style spare head to make an unmasked version. I had to sand the ball joint down for an hour and a half in order to get the head to fit. I think it looks decent, but what the heck? Shouldn't these heads be able to be swapped? Am I crazy thinking this?

??? All I can think of is different casts/molds from sculpts throughout the years. But yeah you would think they would have some sort of standard size for these things.

I like customizing things. I look at the Masher figures and think. That would great if I did customs with those figures(if they were cool).
