Woot... I was able to order them online with store pickup. At least it saved me a trip just to check now I'll know for sure they will be there

They became available for order this morning around 6:30 am PST... I ordered 3 sets before work and received both the order acknowledged and order confirmed emails before leaving the house. From what I'm reading on the forums, they were sold out around the time I got into my office around 8:00 am or so.
They'll be back up for sure. TRU tends to stock their exclusive boxsets in droves. Which sets are those? |

Today we had a very brief period where one person saw a restock, I'm willing to bet both were glitches/early release of some kind. Its also worth noting that the page shows you can only order one, but one poster says he was able to order 3... I'd like that user to tell us if his order actually ships or if they cut the quantity down Even MP Transformers last a few hours, Marvel Legends are nowhere near as popular as those. While I'd expect this set to sell out and not go clearance (like the x-men one did) they certainly won't be done in a brief, single morning listing for only a few minutes. If previous patterns hold, it'll go live early morning sometime this week and stay up for a day or two, then in a few months (when no one cares) they'll get more and it'll be up for a few weeks/months. I wasn't planning on picking up the next Target set, but if that Vision is translucent and not just molded in white... it's getting bought.

On second thought, perhaps I'll skip that Amazon set. Not digging the looks of it so much.

Yeah, I'm curious about him too. The only pic I can find is the one I posted. It looks like the chest is white but the arms are translucent, but it appears to be a prototype anyway. They didn't have it on display at Toyfair, so we might not know till they start showing up on eBay from china.

The fact that Spider Woman has the most minimal white paint app on her (on top of molded plastic) and the factory still couldn't nail it is pretty damn sad...

Agreed, I'll pick that one up, although kind of regretting not keeping the first Target set at the discounted price, but I don't know couldn't just get it for the Ms. Marvel only...

I've got several of the Cap 3-pack in my fodder library, but for the life of me I can't think of what to do with the Radioactive Man bodies. I might just go mad scientist on them and experiment with either shaving and resculpting his lame offset barrel chest or repositioning his neck forward to make that body more tolerable. |

As far as the box sets go, I try to justify it by thinking of possible customs for the figures I don't want, since selling them off usually results in a loss because no one wants them. If Vision is translucent, he's getting hit up with Tamiya clears to make a phasing classic Vision for my display, Hulk might get spun into a classic Thanos, and the Ultron will play drone to the AoU BAF Ultron we're getting... =)

For the Amazon pack I'll probly only sell off Thor, but so long as it offsets the cost of the other three I'm fine with it. |

I've found that breaking up the box sets usually does pretty well, considering they're below standard figure "cost" anyway (not figuring in BaF parts). The three packs are $50, I got last years Target one for $30. The only thing I wanted was Ms Marvel's head and the unmasked Cap head. I put all three on ebay, got $13 for Radioactive Man, $8 for cap (without the unmasked head) and $18 for a headless Ms Marvel. So after fees I essentially broke even.

I ran across the Miss Marvel/Cap/Radioactive Man 3 pack at a target and it was on clearance for $15. I almost regret buying it for full price when it came out.

Damn!! Did you buy it? I would love to get my hands on Mrs Marvel and Cap for cheap, I already got Radioactive man in a trade. I want to get myself that 3 pack, and the amazon pack, and everything else. gah I hate being broke.

It definitely looks translucent to me. Look at the shoulder. Has a pretty heavy white over spray but I think its the same as the ANXM Iceman.

That Amazon box set though... they just can't seem to get the Hemsworth head sculpt down after several movie figures, but they nail Ruffalo out the gate? lol... right now, all I'm seeing when I look at that Thor head is the guy that gave up his clothes, boots, and motorcycle to Arnold in T2. =) |

As long as the Amazon pack is readily available, I'm happy. Don't have any Hawkeye in 6" scale and I really like that Thor and AoU Black Widow. Bruce probably won't even come out of the box though, I have no desire to display him.

Agreed... the more I look at the photo, the more I'm seeing him as translucent. Sweet!

They should have sculpted one on there. |

The main problem with Thor figures from Hasbro is they can never look up very far. The other gripe I have is they all make his cape sculpted so that it flows in one direction. These issues combined make it damn hard to get him in a good looking flight pose.

WOW I would love to find some of those for $15. I will proudly display an army of Radioactive Man figures if I can snag that set for $15 and get the Ms Marvels for customs LOL. As it is, I have gotten some decent deals off of Ebay lately for that set. Not $15 great but mid 30s shipped. Missed out on a couple lots of 4 full sets that some people were selling for around $135 or so with free shipping. |
