Yes, I'm completely off topic, but I have a question to my fellow collectors. I am going to sell my FinFangFoom and I want to know 'in your honest opinions', what you think I should list it for. Really it boils down to what it's worth today, and will there ever be another foom down the line?
Is there a true value to this item? Or is it solely subjective to e hardcore ML fan? To answer your question, there is a very real value for Foom. Foom's selling for $200-$300 as a "buy now" on eBay. If you are thinking to sell your Foom on eBay and the sale isn't time sensitive (i.e. you don't need the money quickly), then that's roughly the range of worth for the item, but you could end up waiting a bit for it to ultimately sell. If you would like the item to sell sooner rather than later, start an auction at the bare minimum dollar amount for which you are willing to part with the item. Personally, I would start the biding at $100-$150. That might seem low, but you'll draw more attention and court more bids by cutting in half the average rate for Foom (a fairly sought after BAF). Additionally, there's a good chance that the bidding will end at something comparable to the going rate (if not more) and you are selling it in a fraction of the time. Of course, you could find a likely buyer here, or on other websites like this one. Unfortunately, I'm not an interested party because an "in scale" Foom (like Galactus) would need to be Shaq's size! ![]() Good luck, buddy! |

Anybody able to post a pic of the Grim Reaper body wearing the Ultimate Captain America belt? It was also reused on Agent Venom, so that one would work too

Thank you all for the advice! I am likely going to use the eBay route and start the bidding low

I used to sell on ebay. In the past, I would start the bidding on $.01. It drove the price up really fast. Just make sure you have typed in everything correctly when you go to list. I would hate to see that backfire. You could always put a reserve on too. I have never done that, so I don't know much about that. Good luck!

For an item like that you should definitely put a reserve, just think of the lowest you'll take for it and add like $10-$20 on top of that, they'll charge you a fee but it's worth it,good luck.

So, the Rescue/Pepper Potts figure, is that only being released as part of the digital subscription thing through Marvel? As someone who's only recently been collecting ML figures heavily, I'm looking at getting some of the older releases I missed, and I'm on-board for a Rescue, but I was hoping to get the one that was announced for the Iron Monger series, with the interchangeable Pepper head. Did that never get released, then? The only ones I can find on eBay are the digital subscription ones, and those only have the armored head (that I can see).
Also, any thoughts on the SDCC 2015 Dr. Strange set? |

The Iron Monger series 3 aka Iron Man series 3 never happened. The Rescue from the digital service IS the same figure but without the Pepper head. AS far as Hasbro has said , this is the only way they will ever release that figure. So no Pepper head. Now we did finally see the War Machine MK II that was shown with Rescue get put out in the Hulkbuster wave, but that was only because he was in Age of Ultron. We will most likely never get the IM3 Mandarin figure that was shown or the new sculpt of the Silver Centurion comic suit.

It's amazing. I really like every single figure. if I had to pick a weak figure then I'd go with astral strange just because he's a figure we've had already albeit not in astral form. But even though, that's a strong weak figure. As far as the strongest figure, I'd probably go with Dormmuumuu(sp) or Hela, even though I was looking forward to Magik most. Definitely another SDCC set winner.
Would anyone be opposed to giving me their thoughts on these other potential purchases? All of them are Hasbro-released MLs - Marvel Girl (Rachel Summers), Spiral, Sunfire, Baron Zemo, Beetle (Deadliest Foes), and Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon/Skyline Sirens) |

Personally, I liked the Rachel figure. It's a little small, but it's not awful. Spiral is pretty cool, and there were two different version of her. Sunfire is OK. He could have been better, I was surprised he won that fan vote. Baron Zemo is great. I'm a huge fan of the character, I love it. I would have liked a more classic secret wars type Zemo, but this is just as good. The Beetle is a cool looking figure. Personally, I'm don't buy too many Ultimate Universe characters but whatever floats your boat. Apparently, there were two production runs with him. The second run seems to be floppy, I was using one for a custom and his leg just crumbled apart the other day. Spider-Girl is cool if you like the randomness of it. I was shocked when we got her, but it is a great figure.

I swear I remember seeing a prototype back in 2012/13 when they were announcing the Iron Monger wave, because I remember being so happy about them making a new version that would go with the Blue Monger they were doing., but I have looked on the internet for 30 min now and can not find a pic. Maybe I was just wishing really hard, or maybe it was the Neo-Classic mold that got put in the Epic Heroes wave. I might keep looking for a pic later. So many have been announced and shown and never made it is hard to keep track sometimes.

Good to hear; I had to choose between the Transformers Combiner Hunters set or the Dr. Strange set when my buddy was in line at SDCC, but since I wasn't as heavy into ML at the time, I opted for the TFs. Don't regret the purchase, but I was really wanting at least Magik and Dormammu. Good to know the set's worthwhile, even if it's redonkulous on the aftermarket.

Where in the world did you find the unreleased head btw? Ebay? I recognize the legs, but where are the kneepads and boots from? They are completely different from that Bucky mold. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 11-23-2015 at 09:58 PM.. |

Ahh...okay. Is that the enlarged head originally from the Marvel Universe fig?
I'm also digging Blade's Mac-11 there. I was hoping to use the one from the original figures for my custom (I'm currently using an extra Auto-9, which looks good enough,) but the Legends Mac-11 is far too big for the Fury buck, and that one looks a little smaller than the original. Is that also casted, and if so...where from? Casting Cave? Either way...it's looking great. I love the sculpted details on the vest. Can't wait to see how it turns out! |
