@TBM, I do find it rather hilarious if this is their new mantra... Let's be honest here, we know they're crooks when it comes to repaints, they know we know, so they might aswell admit these misgivings in the form of dumping multiple "figures" into one package to share a single body! Good work, Hasbro. Good work.
![]() It could work though, if they are their younger counterparts, as I guessed they could be. Man will I be p'ed off if it is Marvel Now Kitty, but forced onto the teen buck. She's a woman now, as tall as any other adult character and more than deserving of an adult body, much like the SDCC Illyana. ![]() Now, Hasbro, tell me that current Kitty is not an adult. ![]() |

See to me Harley presents more of an oddity (I apologize in advance for going off topic with this) as her popularity didn't really explode until after DC rebooted and decided to make her more prominent but now she is DC's equivalent to Deadpool. Deadpool on the other hand (at least as I remember it happening, this account could be heavily flawed) has held fascination for close to a decade now because people went bonkers over a character who knew he was in a comic book. Then, like DC would with Harley, Marvel realized this character could be extremely marketable if crammed into every book possible. So I guess the only real difference between the two from a popularity standpoint is that Deadpool saw a more gradual rise earlier in his span before his explosion while Harley Quinn was more of a cult-followed character who had to be revamped before exploding.

Anyways....I think the Kitty Pryde could work as one of her earlier appearances, we may even get her with the cowl/cap/mask thing she had for about 10 issues. If they used that body it fits both Dani and Karma just fine. But honestly even if it's a Marvel now look, I think it would still work, wasn't Kitty only 2 years older or so than most of the New Mutants, Karma being maybe same age or a year or two older than Kitty? Point being even with marvel now outfits, it could all still work as all the original New Mutants are adults now (except maybe Rhane?) |

The months of rumored info and speculation were accurate. I'd be more excited if there was any chance of seeing characters like the Stranger, or the Living Tribunal. This would allow me to use them 'in-scale' with my Legends (6" - a qualifier is necessary now that everything is a "Legend"
![]() They are Xmen, more appropriately, they were New Mutants. Google... Red Skull head: I've seen it on other bodies, whether it was dremeled or not, I don't know. It was meant to be illustrative, but thanks for the correction...you got me! ![]() Edit: ooop...wait, I just thought about it! Red Skull's head is in fact meant to be slapped on another body (Onslaught's) so the category in which I placed it is, in fact, accurate. Also, why not just repaint Hellcat and give a new head to her. Boom instant Firestar. I'm working on a custom one now, because I multitask and never stay focused on one custom at a time. |

Rhane had a kid in the pages of X-Factor a few years back. She better be an adult! lol

And yes, that's my choice for a Firestar as well. I'm actually planning on doing that, because that will be easy, even for me. I plan to use a second Mockingbird I get for the head, since the Thundra did not work out. |

I think its more so an easy way to get them out as a "sorry we messed up" I think it comes down to outfits, I agree Dani should be taller than Kitty, perhaps have a little more muscle on her, but I'm hoping they give us the old New Mutants attire from the 80s', Claremont/Sienkiewicz Dani is my dream figure!
Same here. |

They're as old as whoever is writing at the time wants them to be. Sam's aged about 2 years since they were introduced. Bobby Dacosta's aged about 8. Kitty got old enough to get a little Wisdom in her under Ellis and then Claremont and Whedon regressed her again.

I think the way around it is to give them all the Hellcat body. It's like a 20-year old buck. That said, in order to make them fit with Magik, they could give us the teen mold, it wouldn't actually bother me much. I would rather have iconic versions of characters (90's X-men, 80's New Mutants) than recent version

![]() Okay, sorry about that. Waaay off topic. What I'd like to know is, where is our Jessica Jones figure?! Hasbro must be saving the Netflix figures for later on in the year, but a comic Jewel figure would be well received. Like others have said, Hasbro should do a Marvel Knights wave. A new Blade, Typhoid Mary, Elektra, Moon Knight, Punisher, Jewel, Bullseye, and then a Kingpin BAF. It would sell like hotcakes! |

@Von
Kitty was 13 when she appeared on the scene in the Xmen (kinda makes that early budding romance between her and Peter very, very creepy! It actually felt wrong to me as a kid, but who am I...). Using this as a measure, she should be 49?!?! hahahha! Puts a much different spin on things, for sure. Get me that '49 year-old woman' buck stat, Hasbro! |

Yeah I would guess that she's around 21 now, but then again... Argh, age is difficult in comics. Kitty's about 25, easily. The other NMs are, like you say, 23/24 (and Karma would be about 26?), but Wolfsbane can't be 19, because by now the New X-Men (Hellion, Surge, Elixir) are around that age. Although, Rahne did have a fling with Josh Foley, so she could still be young... EE GADS.

I would buy that in a heartbeat, except maybe take Jewel out and replace her with some other female character. Just because she's my pet peeve sin of forced retroactive continuity. But you know I'm all about getting a BAF Kingpin, so it's hard to say no, no matter who is in the wave. @TBM, actually I think aging is "supposedly" according to "some" about 1 year for every 50 issues of comics. It's the theory I subscribe to - though of course there's always stuff that throws that way off. But if that were the case, Kitty should be....about 22/23. Other New Mutants outside of Rhane/Karma should be 21/22. Rhane shoudl be 19/20. Karma should 23 to 25 - I think. Ugh. I'm doing it again. o_O. Must stop before my brain explodes....especially when you throw in the six month gap in 2000 the X-books but no other books had, and then the recent gaps before SW and from what I understand a gap after SW as well? Ugh. Maybe add another 1 to 1.5 years to each of those. I dunno. I give up! Last edited by Captain Nash; 02-12-2016 at 01:09 PM.. |

Oh? I didn't even know there was a rubric. lol Rather than Marvel 'NOW,' I'd love to see a Marvel 'ACTUAL!' Reed would be 80, Peter would be in his late 50's, etc...talk about expanding Marvel's brand? They could advertise in AARP! ![]() |

Actually it does or at least close to it. Amazing Fantasy was not too much before Amazing Spider man 1. Which ran for roughly 700 issues (14 years if you do the 50 issues/1 year estimate.) That's fairly close....."only" one year off, which in terms of figure out age in comics isn't too bad of a deal lol.

Hah! Funky math indeed! Maybe Immortus is actually Marvel's true Editor-in-Chief? All these years, who knew? Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 02-12-2016 at 01:36 PM.. |

Emma is definitely the one who gets me. in her first appearance in the Dark Phoenix Saga she looks like she's nearly twice the age she looked when she started teaching Generation X, like literally 40-45 vs. 20-25. I guess for her it wouldn't be a stretch to put it on plastic surgery though.

Which could explain why the first Hasbro figure is so ugly compared to the second

Yeah, it was revealed in that run that she had a breast augmentation...it definitely left the feeling that she was a 'false beauty' and who knows where she stopped in regard to cosmetic surgery. |
