yea thats cause she is being forced on people through having screen time, youre telling me if marvel had a chance to make only one movie with it based on only one female character and then no more movies based on super heroes, the movie you would want to be made is a black widow one?
And I'm not saying Black Widow is my favorite female superhero or that she's the most deserving of a movie out of Marvel's female superheroes, but you're treating her as if she's a C-List nobody when she's had a prominent role on nearly every Avengers team, both in the movies and in the comic books. You don't have to like her, but it's insulting to fans of the character to say that she's not important enough to warrant more action figures (hell, I'd love to get an updated comic book style Black Widow myself) or increased exposure. I mean, we get about 2 or 3 Captain America, Spider-Man and Iron-Man figures per year in the Legends line, yet you're upset about Black Widow getting maybe one every 2-3 years? There's other female characters I'd like to see in Legends form before Black Widow, but I'm not going to complain if we do get another Black Widow because the Marvel Legends line doesn't just revolve around what I want to see. |

She's being "forced" on people? Really? Nevermind the fact that you could say the same for Hawkeye in Age of Ultron (although I wouldn't necessarily agree with either opinion).

as for hawkeyes hes been in old arcade games (spider man and the avengers) people who played them remember him sure he really doesnt make sense to be in the movies in this day and age but he had a good fan base to be even included into those games way before they started craming unwanted characters on people.

You and I don't think Black Widow is the best female Marvel character, but some people, a lot of people, think otherwise. And I'll tell you what, she's important enough to at least have an action figure up to today's standards for Marvel Legends. We've gotten some pretty good movie style versions of the character, but her last comic book figure came out back before Hasbro had truly perfected the formula for good lady Legends; the previous one before that just isn't a very good figure period. It's worth getting at least one, single updated version of comic book Black Widow that can stand proudly amongst her Avengers colleagues or wherever else people choose to place her in their collection. We all understand that Iron-Man and Captain America are gateway figures to get the retailers to continue selling Marvel Legends, but I think I can speak for a lot of people here when I say that I'd rather get a new Black Widow, especially if it's comic based, than another Captain America or Iron-Man. Those figures are cool for the diehard Cap/Iron-Man fans, or the people who don't have figures of those characters yet, but I'm willing to bet most people on this forum have more Caps and Tonies than they know what to do with just from the past 2-3 years of Marvel Legends alone. I don't necessarily disagree with you when it comes to Hawkeye. I think he's a cool character. But just like with Black Widow, there's also a lot of people who don't care for Hawkeye. I don't think they should be able to determine whether or not Hawkeye deserves more action figures, though. I still think we have yet to see a truly great Hawkeye Marvel Legends figure, and I'd love to get a definitive Hawkeye figure for my collection.

yea well i think even tho they keep poping out caps an irons none of them are great (not counting the movie ones but this new ironman looks to me to toyish if that makes any sense by the coloring of it) i mean this new cap almost perfect but his head is a joke, and for ironman none of them have the new legs (i mean they need to stop using ball joint legs period) or bulkiness for the character, so id still want more of them til its done right much like how you want an updated black widow (i mean her articulation is pretty much the same idk what you mean when you said "before Hasbro had truly perfected the formula for good lady Legends" (her ball joints legs arent that much of an eye sore compared to it on old male figures.
I agree with you on the Iron-Man front that many of his figures aren't bulky enough, but he still has a solid offering out there for a variety of different armors and not all of his armors are meant to be bulky. You've got ToyBiz Series 1 Iron-Man, my personal favorite in my collection, then you have two updated versions of that armor with Hasbro, you've got Face Off Iron-Man, Extremis Iron-Man, Bleeding Edge, the Guardians of the Galaxy one, the series 8 Modern Iron-Man. I'm pretty sure there's several others that I'm forgetting, too. They're not perfect representations, but they're pretty damn good regardless. You compare that to Black Widow. She only has 2 comic book figures. Her old one is junk by today's standards, and her 'new' one is incredibly expensive to get ahold of and she looks incredibly skinny next to the current lady Legends. She also doesn't have the updated articulation like the new hip joint or ankle rocker. She needs a new figure. |

Hasbro's gonna keep making female figures, the general concensus is that they're done well, Black Widow is very popular among a lot of people, and I'm sure whatever other female figures you can think of will eventually be made/redone. Everybody happy?

I think there's been plenty of great Cap figures, although I agree none of them are perfect. For Cap, you have several pretty good options. Face Off Cap is obviously the victor, although that may be a bit out of budget for most collectors. But then you also have Marvel Now Cap from the Winter Soldier wave, Series 8 Ultimate Cap, the Target 3-pack Cap, the other ultimate Cap that Hasbro did, ToyBiz Series 1 Cap and, of course, the new one just released. All pretty solid figures from what I've heard (although I don't own all of them).

ToyBiz legends WILL BE discussed here every now and again, because in many ways they pertain to newer Marvel Legends, such as wish lists, comparisons, and nostalgic purposes. Deal with it. You wanna tell people what they can discuss here, become a mod. As for Black Widow's relevance, all I can say to that is pick up a comic every now and then. You might be surprised. Dude...seriously, we get it. You don't like Black Widow. Move on. It's a fine line, but at a certain point, it no longer comes off as you're trying to make a point, but rather you are trying to force your opinion on others, or you are being trollish.

to add, my understanding is that the reason this thread is called NEW Marvel Legends is not Toy Biz vs. Hasbro but because the first one went off the rails in discussion and they closed it down - this was back in 2012.
Just because they are from Toy Biz does not negate the fact they did get produced. |

im not saying they cant discuss it im saying its a different line and shouldnt be compared to the line as it is today, to keep characters from being remade just cause toybiz made them already? he is pulling out toybiz to complain about the over use of certain characters is all im saying.
And I'm not saying that ToyBiz figures should never be remade. Just that certain characters would benefit more from a remake than others. Captain America, Iron-Man and Spider-Man are characters that are guaranteed figures every year, so you never have to worry about a shortage of good figures for those 3. But with other characters, you have to search high and low for good representations of them, and many of those representations are far too expensive for many people to reasonably get on the aftermarket. Deadpool is one of those. He only has two Marvel Legends and both of them are too expensive for the average collector, so it's good that he's getting a new figure. |

Point 1: There has never been a Jim Lee Cyclops or Storm. The Gambit we got is fine by me. The Rogue TB made was quite possibly THE worst figure they made in their entire line, so a new figure was absolutely needed.
They and Hasbro have both made plenty of Iron Man's and Caps, and I'd rather not see any, but if someone else still wants them I'm not going to put them down for it. FWIW I'm also content with the Black Widows I have, though every single figure has been difficult to find, so it is to me a matter of rarity. It's really not all absolutes with me. I do want mostly new figures but there are some iconic designs not made yet, and there are some figures that were made that were just so bad, I don't mind a remake of them. To add: also what SymbiSpidey said. I am not going to ask for a new Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America or Thor not only because I am happy with what I've got but also because it's an almost sure bet that we'll get a new version of each one of them every year to two years at most. Sometimes more than one a year. They are the core and they will continue to be done, I may not like it but I do understand it. Last edited by Captain Nash; 03-07-2016 at 11:54 AM.. |

It's not a different line though. It's still all Marvel Legends, they're just being done by a new company now. Many of us still find ourselves going back and purchasing older ToyBiz figures to go with our newer Hasbro ones because those ToyBiz ones still work with the current ones.

I'm referring to strictly red and black Deadpools, which is probably the version that somebody would want if they don't already have a Deadpool in their collection.

SymbiSpidey, just to reference correctly, and it's not a big deal, but there's been 3. One in the TB line, one in the two pack with Warpath which had a variant, and one in the ROML line, which I think is one with the variants.
All are rare though so your point is still valid. |

If they have made a Jim Lee Cyclops I have missed it, as I don't recall anything close to it. The white outfit storm in the X-Men line is close to a Jim Lee Storm but it does still have some major differences.

@Nash, they did a Jim Lee Cyclops about 10 years ago. He's very lanky. I would say that he could use an update.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Jim Lee Cyclops and Storm he's referring are the ones from X-Men Classics. But even those figures are in dire need of an update. Especially when you consider that both of them have updated figures, just in different costumes. |

Thank you all I do stand corrected! That Cyclops is accurate but Storm is close but not accurate. I did get the Storm recently looks like I may need to scout out buying that Cyclops now.
@Sypne, please please update that post. My eyes! ![]() Edit, He's not on Amazon. Darn it. They do have that (IMO awful) Ruby Armor version though which is what I thought was being referenced originally. Last edited by Captain Nash; 03-07-2016 at 12:08 PM.. |

Crap, did the picture not come through? I'm at work and sometimes the filters here block links from being posted. It's so weird.
