Hard to say since they only mentioned HTS selling the figure. If the 3 pack is a SDCC exclusive, then probably not. Spidey is Marvel's biggest character and makes them money so I don't see him getting a limited release like Medusa or Brother Voodoo. But if the figure is a store exclusive for TRU or is available everywhere, then we may not see an individual release this year since there wouldn't be a limited number of sets being made like with SDCC exclusives.. Either way, expect him to be widely available at some point during the year.
Quick question for anyone that might know, do Con exclusives appear on HTS right after the Con ends or does Hasbro usually wait a week? Spidey goes on sale on HTS 8 days after SDCC ends. Well, the set is going to be available through Entertainment Earth, if that answers your questions about how hard it'll be to acquire.

Hi, everyone:
Long time member, but never had much to say, thou I enjoy reading all the posts regularly, and I like the respectful manner in this forum. From London, UK, here. Massive collector since day one of ML. Just letting you know I got the Kate Bishop, Sam Wilson, Vision pack plus the Namor's from my local comic store in London. Wasn't cheap, but I'm very happy my LCS is getting ML regularly lately. My guess is they get it early in Europe, perhaps from Asia. Not too sure. Will we ever get a movie version of Vision. Time will pass before they make one. That Vision there looks like Mister Miracle

Am a fan of Classic Vision, myself. But Vision is one of my favourites ( love robots), so I can never get enough. Plus I needed Kate, and another Sam Wilson. Anything difference from the usual popular characters really...

The head pops off easy enough, it's the arms I had to boil and pop so I didn't rip the bicep taking it off. I popped off the bicep so I wouldn't risk it while boiling and unfuzing the shoulder.

Well, now we know it's not. My only thinking in that it would be a SDCC exclusive was how close it would be coming out after SDCC. I actually haven't bought any Con exclusives since the X-Force pack and I'm hoping that trend continues. They're nice but they just aren't for me. I'm only really interested in this Civil War set because of Spiderman but I'd rather acquire a loose one for a reasonable price than buy the whole thing.

Question for any customizers out there. I'm not to familiar with ML figures. I could tear a modern 3 3/4 inch Joe up in no time, but I'm having a little bit of trouble with ML. It's not that easy to destroy a $20 figure and then say oh well as it is when Joe's were $5-7.
Are the shoulders removable from the torso? I can boil/pop and heat up the arms and pull them off but the shoulder piece seems attached to the torso. Also what about the legs. I'm getting a sense the older Hasbro bodies and the newer hasbro bodies have two different styles and don't really jive to well for customizing. Thanks. |

To add on that thought, out of curiosity, if Hasbro started offering a Marvel Legends "Blank", primed and ready to paint, along the line of what they used to with Mighty Mugs, and the way other companies such as Funko put out blanks for their respective lines, would you pick them up? (They could even package it under the Marvel Legends line) Seems to me it would be a great way to get some more life out of their molds, and I would be all over that in a heartbeat, as fodder starts to get expensive after a while. I'll be honest, I'm too afraid to try to remove the shoulders and legs. I saw something youtube (I think it was there), and it involves drilling into the figure. I tend to just swap arms, hands, heads and feet. That's also why I started using some sculpting techniques so things can look a little different.

Ah, that's what I was afraid of. I already wasted a 3 Pack Nick Fury body. I saw the shoulder joint actually had a small ring moulded around it to connect it to ring joint. Where do you dremel into the torso to split it? Thanks for help fellas. I really didn't like the Punisher from the Nemesis that I did without a Jacket. But the two figures (Nick Fury 3 pack) and that one aren't really compatible on the arms. I'm just cutting and Frankensteining it at this point. So yeah, probably destroying 2 figures at his point. *Punching self in face Last edited by Byrnes; 05-06-2016 at 07:30 AM.. |

Anyone seen the CW wave yet in retail? I guess I'll try and hit some places today and see if I can find any.

It would be awesome. I think the only way it would work would be to make it the "Make your own superhero kit" type thing for kids. it would have to include paints and brushes and sell for around $10 for parents to buy it. There's just not enough people who would buy it as is for customizers. |
