Did anyone notice that the figure in the top right of the photo was Wanda?? I'm not even lying that was one fine ass action figure. I need to go dig that figure out ASAP.

Not just any Wanda figure but the Wanda and Cyan special version! I actually saw the regular Wanda figure (the wedding dress version) at a flea market recently for only $5 mint in box, oh how Spawn figures have accumulated no value.

Man oh man, sometimes I wish Spawn would come back in a big way even if only so that we might get more and better Spawn action figures.

I assume you're still talking about "that" guy? If so, yes. Yes.

As for Bendis, completely agree. I think it's very easy to just disregard him, and yes nobody asked for his take on the Guardians, but the man has some brilliant ideas. They just tend to get... derailed. Fast.

In conclusion, all writers are capable of good and bad. Morrison revitalised the X-brand, but he was also responsible for Glob Herman and Ernst.
You know, Azazel as Kurt's dad, on it's own, doesn't bother me at all. Hell, it led to a fun-as-hell opening story in Amazing X-Men. But all the other crap that came with that story is best left in the dumpster.

And hey! I'm quite partial to Ernst and Glob Herman! On the other hand, I really don't like most of the Morrison run.

ya know....as i talk about Wanda in the legends thread....
I totally forgot about that figure until the pic i posted..now I want mine ASAP. As I google searched...I saw the Wanda in the wedding dress...WHOA...that's (we all know McFarlanes aren't REALLY action figures)an amazing piece. I'm snatching that up off ebay as i type...(though not for the aforementioned 5 bucks)

Secondly....YAZ...it's crazy how the majority of the McFarlane lines of toys haven't increased in value at all...an may have decreased...BECAUSE....some of his work was AMAZING..
One of my alltime favorite action figures until it got wrecked in Hurricane Sandy..was this Spawn figure that was encased in like a clear plastic case. Loved that thing.
ANDDDDDD...I honestly believe that the toy companies did NOT step their game up until McFarlane's lines came along. i think he was a huge influence on the quality of sculpting/likenesses that went into all figures....(as i make my segue back to legends)....including this line we love.

Agreed! McFarlane was the game changer. I remember my dad owned a Movie Maniacs Samuel L. Jackson Shaft figure and it was just on a whole nother level.

Really, I just wish McFarlane would add the type of articulation that every other action figure line has. The sculpting, paint work and detail is on point. It's just....I don't have a place for staction figures in my collection.

All of this talk about Spawn got me thinking about last year's SDCC fan poll winner: Angela. We know that she is set to be released in an upcoming 2017 assortment. At the time of SDCC, Hasbro had yet to determine if she'd be placed in a Guardians or Asgardian themed wave. This then got me thinking about the other characters in the poll and their potential in future waves.

Kid Nova
The Hood
Symbiote Spider-man
Mysterio
Lyra
Borr
Disir
Executioner
Sif
Malekith
Cosmo
Darkhawk
Nebula
Quasar
Ulik

Most of these look like obvious inclusions in any upcoming next Spider-man, Guardians, and/or Thor waves. If this poll is anything like the 3.75 figure's poll, we've got a good shot at seeing many of these soon.

I was banned from Walmart when I was in highschool for stealing baseball cards from 6 years previous, Walmart didn't even sell the cards anymore.. anyways, several years later I started working at that same walmart.

Pick any Target, Walmart, or K-Mart if you happen to get banned, wait 6 months, no one will remember. Till then, visit the closest one away from that particular store... you know the one just down the block, lol

I could use a Left arm for Giant man also, if anyone has one... that and Black Panther are the only things I'm missing from that wave.

McFarlane was the first to offer highly detailed sculpts at retail price, all that remains of their glory days are the guys who quit McFarlane to go form NECA. From what I've gathered more than a few of them weren't happy with how the company was shifting more focus towards the sports figures so they took their talent elsewhere. As it is NECA does essentially function as the successor to McFarlane's adult collector throne. The saddest part is that while McFarlane is still hanging around their figures haven't updated with time or now if they have the articulation it is very apparent which counteracts efforts to make the product look good.

I think even the concept is abrasive to me, since it turns Kurt half demon. It defeats the entire point of his mutation which makes him appear demonic, but it only being skin-deep. With his father being Azazel, it also slightly cheapens his whole relationship with religion as just being "because his dad's the devil."

This may be the one retcon that I disagree with the strongest. Mainly because it actively tries to belittle Raven and Irene's relationship, since editorial HATED the fact that Claremont had that idea in mind (the two being Kurt's parents). Also, it was against the Comics Code to depict same-sex relationships, until Marvel scrapped it in the early 00's, and by that time Azazel had just been created, so the two ladies were doomed from the start..

Sorry, you've awoken the Destiny fan in me, Blunder. She was a fantastic character, and it sucks that she had to die. It's also made even worse in that her presence is erased in almost every media adaptation of the X-Men. I believe the only thing she's appeared in has been X-Men: Evolution, and even then only briefly as Rogue's adoptive mother.

(I also agree with you about Morrison's run, but don't tell anyone, because most people love it...)

Ditto, except I like Morrison's run okay. To me it was just so different, it really felt like this huge change from what came before. The Eve Of Destruction storyline was what really felt like, to me, the end of the "classic X-men" feeling, and while I liked some of what Morrison did, there were definitely aspects that I did not like. I felt he was trying to push this too "trendy realistic/trendy statements" vibe, and sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. Loved the reveal at the start of Planet X but it ultimately ended in such a way that it's up there as one of my least favorite storylines. Still, it was better the UXM at the time though thank goodness we had X-Treme X-Men!

How do you figure Azazel has to be a demon in the X-Men universe?

BTW, out of curiosity, which Wolverine costume do you prefers, the brown or the yellow?
