Peter took a bullet meant for Captain America as the Punisher was attempting to assassinate him. While Peter survived, he did not immediately seek out medical aid, as he was afraid it would cost him his secret identity, instead opting to try and take down the Green Goblin once and for all, who had just killed Otto Octavius and had teamed up with other villians, specifically targeting Pete and his family for death. Pete was able to survive the Goblin's final onslaught, before the Goblin was killed himself, but not before he ended up bleeding out from the bullet wound he previously sustained.

but now i know i need to go back an watch season 3..last i saw of this show was season 1 and the beginning of 2. ************************************************** **************************** and @ ![]() now that i've taken off my geek/omg its new x-men/Legends goggles.. this thing looks kinda off/odd to me. I like the helmet and head..and the bands on the arms...everything else to me looks to fall short of what figures should look like these days. I do think the torso is sculpted well...but LOOK AT THE proportions of the upper body compared to the lower body...doesn't his lower half look short?? or is it me..?? Unless its got some incredible posing attributes...i'm about 90% certain this one isn't joining my legends cast.

Thanks for the comparative between 'face-off' Hulk and Juggernaut. Do you have any other Hulks? The reason I ask is that FO Hulk is the largest 'Legends' Hulk (height) and I'm curious as to how the others stack up. I've seen enough pics of Juggs to pretty much know the answer to my questions, but I'd like some confirmation. Do you have either 'bowlegged' Hulk (MCU or the three pack Hulk)? Or, maybe the Hasbro two pack Hulk? If not, cool...

Just looked through what I have of the digital comics..I have about 95% of this run..BUT...where is the funeral scene if he died at the end of #160??? because from what i read that was the last issue.
thanx for that info...i really believe this specific comic..was the blueprint for the modern (current)616 Nope (after checking).. it was S4E3 but now i know i need to go back an watch season 3..last i saw of this show was season 1 and the beginning of 2. ************************************************** **************************** and @ ![]() now that i've taken off my geek/omg its new x-men/Legends goggles.. this thing looks kinda off/odd to me. The new Juggs figure is definitely out of proportion, but so are the Toy Biz Juggs and Select Juggs figures. The MS Cain's arms from top of deltoid to knuckle are as long if not longer than his legs and the TB version might even be worse. IMO that's all by design because the Juggernaut, along with many other comic-book behemoths, isn't drawn to strict human proportion rubrics. When drawing the human figure in a realistic manner, you're encouraged to use the 'eight heads rule.' Many comic characters along with their iconic looks don't follow this rule. I'm willing to give this Juggs a pass just as I did the Juggs figs before this one. Mostly due to the fact that, outside of JRJR (initially -eventually he also drew a wonky Juggs) and Alan Davis (top of my head - I'm sure there were a couple of others), artists have traditionally drawn him as looking this way. Comic fans have been so weaned on this that X-3's Juggernaut was largely panned and calls for an entirely CGI'ed Marko were common. Movie Juggernaut was dubbed as a 'miss' because he was way too 'humanly' proportioned. My olny gripe with this fig is that he's too large period.

As a general rule, I don't go out "Toy Hunting" anymore; I'll stop as part of a chain of stops when I'm out, for instance if I'm meeting a friend for lunch then I may stop at a place on the way back, or look when I'm grocery shopping, or the like, but I don't go out just to hit stores to look anymore. So, fortunately Walgreen's stock system showed that the Walgreen's right by me had several Namor in stock, I was pleased and today I was heading out in that direction and stopped in. They had 7 or so in a special display, all but 2 had good paint apps and I went with the one that looked the best.
For me, Taskmaster had really set the bar high. Real high. Yet Namor cleared it with ease. As for the figure itself, the left hand on mine had the thumb and finger as one piece, but a quick cut fixed that, beyond that, no complaints. Sharp paint, tight joints, lots of detail, great articulation. Plus that face just captures Imperious Rex. Yeah, the trident is a bit of a joke, but if I want him to use a Trident and not the redeco of Gungnir, I've already got plenty of options, from the old Toy Biz Namors, the prior Hasbro Namors, DCUC Aquaman, etc. TL;DR, Namor is boss yo. |

@ BM's post....
you know...once upon a time i decided that I wanted to collect Juggernaut figures...all of them(Like I do Firestorm) because I really like the character. BUT..when i started researching the releases...i realized....i really didn't like A LOT of the figures that had come out. I really didn't like the arm length of that toybiz one...and just certain things on others. I decided to just stick with whatever Juggy figs I already owned.

When it hit stores, I was hitting up nearly every Wal-Mart in my area on a daily basis, because I was SO excited since that was the first time that the Fantastic Four were getting an entire wave of Legends (not just a box set or a "Classics" sub-line) dedicated entirely to them. I was lucky and found a single case, on only one occasion, and never saw the wave after that. However, a buddy of mine who lives in a small town in rural GA bought that wave when his Wal-Mart clearanced their multiple cases of the Ronan wave for about 80%-90% off !

Yeah, the Ronan wave had ridiculously bad distribution. But then again, it was a Wal-Mart exclusive wave, like the Ares wave, so I guess that was to be expected, lol.

Lol, aw man, say what you will about B.M. Bendis, but a few days ago, he was being harshly criticized here, and now another group is praising his work.
The man is, by far, one of the most polarizing of Marvel's writers in recent history. Personally, I was bored by his New Avengers stuff, but, then again, I've never really cared for Avengers comics anyways. I thought his Ultimate Spidey was a really fun read, even though he was basically recycling stories, characters, and concepts with that trademark "Ultimate" twist. I even enjoyed Miles Morales initially, but eventually I just got burnt out on all things Spidey, after a while. If Bendis excels at anything it's writing soap opera-ish dialogue as well as quirky and humorous teen dialogue. It always reminded me of a watered-down immitation of the "Whedon-esque" dialogue from Buffy. Maybe if the fans finally chase Bendis away from Marvel, he could easily transition from comic writer to a writer for DeGrassi or for the CW ![]() EDIT : To add to the Ultimate list that DarkToyLord was asking about, there was also Ultimate Rhino, Lizard, and Doc Ock from the Spider-Man Classics line from Toy Biz. And, there were plenty of 616 figures that could pass as Ultimate figures, like Kingpin from the Face-Off set. Also, the Fantastic Four figures from the '06 F4 Classics line were largely Ultimate-inspired. Ben from Wave 1 and Johnny & Sue from wave 2 resembled the Ultimate versions, and Wave 1 Johnny (because he was in flaming form) could pass as 616 or Ultimate. Reed was a little trickier, since he was more of a 616 and Ultimate mash-up. He had the headsculpt and gray hair of 616 Reed, but was wearing his Ultimate uniform, BUT he was ALSO wearing the vest that he wore in the Waid & Wieringo F4 run ![]() And, he came with the guns he used in the Waid/Wieringo run. So yeah, kinda a crazy mash-up !

Off the top of my head, there was also an Ultimate Sabretooth in Toybiz's X-men classic line. The entire Ultimate Fantastic Four were also released in Toybiz's Fantastic Four classic line.
Edit: Oops, can't believe no one has said Ultimate Nick Fury!! Last edited by redfox; 07-10-2016 at 01:33 PM.. |

On a Legends note, does anyone else who has worked with custom head casts have a good method for sizing the peg holes? I use a Dremel but I can never seem to get the holes sized correctly when doing so. |

So I'm in my local Trade Smart today and come across this:
![]() OMG, like someone actually got the Giant Man wave in, AWESOME!!! Only a couple of those figures are from the Red Skull wave, so I start going through it. I grab a Nick Fury and guess who was not present one bit? Yep, Black Panther. WTF?! They have at least 10 cases worth of figures in that pile, but NO Black Panther?! ARGH!!!! Nick Fury is cool, but not great. I don't like the gun that is molded into the holster on his body and his neck joing and ab crunch are really loose, so if you touch him, his head starts looking upward while he bends his body over forward.
