Apparently across hundreds of posts from the dozens of various online boards, Walgreen's has been some sort of mystic oasis for X-men Legends. Everyone and their Aunt June has been stumbling and fumbling across them. I go to seven (7) Walgreen's and find Thundra and Black Ant... Last edited by redfox; 07-30-2016 at 08:29 PM.. |

Also keep an eye out at your local Targets. One near me has already gone through its refresh and a guy at another said they are starting it this coming week so they should be getting a lot more stock in shortly. |

I'd like to see quite a few of those post-Dark Ages/pre-Infinite Series lady Legends be updated to current standards. Jim Lee Jean, Emma Frost, Black Widow could all use the same treatment that today's lady legends get.
Also, ordered a TB Nightcrawler from eBay. Could there be an updated Kurt in our future? Maybe. But Nightcrawler is my favorite X-Men and I need him NOW. Lol. Plus I doubt Hasbro would give him the articulation that the older figure has. I have a feeling that Hasbro is going to start hitting the X-men figures HARD from now on. Kurt definitely seems like a potential candidate, though I think you'll be right about the articulation. |

Anyone finding the Walgreens Punisher in the wild yet?
No luck here. Not sure if I am just too late arriving at the stores or they haven't hit here yet. |

I'd also like to add Elektra to the list. It's really a shame that there are so many characters that need updates from only a few years ago.

And yeah, totally forgot about Elektra. It's absolutely criminal that we don't have a particularly good figure of her yet. |

So I finally had some good luck today. After going out to dinner we stopped a couple Walgreens by us just to see if they happened to have the X-Men Legends wave in, but no luck. On our way home we drove by a Target we rarely ever go to and my g/f got this brilliant idea of stopping there just for the hell of it. Two awesome employees later the toy isle manager comes out with the entire case of X-Men Legends for me. YES!!!!!
I tried not to go overboard with the pics right now. One, because it's nearly midnight and secondly, my Spidey wave is sitting in the leasing office for me to pick up tomorrow, so I will be posting pictures from that. ![]() Early impressions: Havok - Better than I expected, although his beam things don't stay attached to his wrists very well. Cable - Wow, I'm really impresed with this guy as he was the figure I was looking forward to the least. I love how massive he is and his weaponry is pretty cool. The sculpting for his robotic parts is truly incredible. My only complaint is that his hands are too big to grasp the front end of the duel triggered gun. Kitty - Just like Cable, I like her a lot. Lokee stays on pretty well, especially when you put his tail around her neck and the paint job is well done. She is a bit taller than I would like from Kitty though, even if this is supposed to be her older self. Still wishing they had gone with the blue Excalibur outfit though, but whatever. Iceman - Probably my least favorite figure of the wave, not because he is a bad figure, but because he is very loose and rubbery. Thankfully, he is not as loose as that translucent Vision or the Astral Version of Dr Strange, but his joints feel all kinds of gummy. It makes it hard for him to stay in a pose. I love the sculpted pieces though. Deadpool - You know, this year has been an interesting one for Deadpool because the movie has made me appreciate the character a lot more than I have in the past and this figure reinforces that notion. I'm not a fan of the sword sheaths being straight even though the swords are curved, and the swords feel very fragile, but I am quite pleased with him. The last time I owned a Deadpool toy it was the original Toy Biz one that had a knife gimmick sculpted into one of his hands, so I could never figure out why the toy came with two daggers for him to hold. This is far superior to that junk. Now I kind of wish I still had my DCU Deathstroke to do some pictures with as it is going to be a long wait for the Icons one. Rogue - Oh man oh man. Except for the sloppy paint on the legs, she is amazing. Love the rosey cheeks they gave her. Phoenix - The figure I wanted the most out of this wave and she does not disappoint. I love her. I love that she can be put into her signature pose. I just wish she had come with some type of fire accessories or something. Oh, and this is a win-lose situation, but I am happy they gave her her heels like she has in the comics, the negative is that she can't stand for ****. I really need to get a stand stronger than the Tamashii one because she's too heavy for it. Wolverine - This figure vexes me. It is so god damn amazing and probably my favorite figure of the wave, but I can not get his claws to stay straight for anything. I've tried heating them up three times to get them to stay even and they refuse to do so. The middle claw on the right hand loves to bend down a bit, so I can this V line with the claws. The left claw on the left hand's set is nearly touching the middle claw. Like I said, I've tried heating them up, I've tried pulling them out of their sockets and shifting them around, but none of that works. Nevertheless, this figure rocks and the non-clawed fists do too. Juggernaut - I've never owned a Juggernaut figure and I'm not even that big of a fan of his, but this figure rocks. It feels hefty and is huge. Now I want a Black Tom to go with him. My only nitpick on him is his helmet doesn't really feel like it is bolted into his armor. Other than that, another solid Build-a-Figure. Well, enjoy the pics below: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The thing about this X-Men wave is that I appreciate each individual figure more and more the more I handle them. Even Havok, who I wasn't too keen on initially, is really starting to grow on me and I like him quite a bit.
I don't know if it's the excitement of finally having a decent-sized collection of X-Men, but these figures are amazing. |

The news of Hasbro willing to consider double jointed elbows, combined with the added range of Mockingbirds torso and the great sculpts they have been giving us, could really give us the definitive physique for these characters. (please don't forget the calf swivel!) Funny how I never considered Gold Team Jean to be from the Dark Days of ML. Sure she has flaws, but I'm content. Re-releasing her in three years with the Phoenix body (especially the hands!) as a base, with added pinkish-purple or fiery effects that also help her stand... sure, I'll buy. Although I'd rather see some of her other costumes done first. (with the effects of course!) |

Wow Raf, 8.25% sales tax? Ouch. I'm so glad the sales tax at the Target I got my figures at was 5%. The total on my case was $167.92, which ends up being about $4 cheaper than it would have been from BBTS after shipping.

I didn't realize taxes were that high in Texas, even when I was in Dallas last year the thought never occured to me. Of course, you guys have a cheaper cost of living to off-set that tax, so I guess it evens out.

Every time I visit this board there's page after page of great pictures.
Some with meticulous attention to detail, positioning and story. Others just to show of your hunt for the day. I love them all!!! Thank you for taking the time to post them and sorry for not being able to say how much I love them more often. |

Well...I asked the lady if I would take 3 figures would she give me the display and she didn't say no, she just said that she might get in trouble if the rest of the Namor figs would be placed on the regular shelf. I just told her that in order to not get her in any king of trouble I would just buy all 8 figs and she smiled and said it's yours. Then...she said, "Do you want to see what's on this other box that just arrived?" My eyes lid up cause I just knew what it was going to be. the rest is history!

Dude...why do you loose faith in the King?? Did I not tell you that the next Deadpool I found was yours? It's claimed because you claimed it bro. The rest of the wave was claimed by...we'll if he wants to come out I'll let him do it. "Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe".
