I'd probably get Iron Skull strictly for the head sculpt to throw onto another figure. |

Nice stand in Wolverine with Daken there. Love the custom claw hands...
Came home from work today to literally find this waiting for me on the couch, as the wife had grabbed it for me while out with the toddler. I really dig the Vision...but come on Hasbro...no open, gesturing hands again? Sheesh. ![]() On a side note, she said that it was the only one there buried within a fresh supply of the Spidey Civil War three pack, so it might be a good idea to search through them anyways while out and hunting, because as you know, the average TRU employee is likely to not know the difference, besides there being a ten dollar difference in price.

Oh for sure. Him and Cap are probably going to be everywhere. Scarlet Witch is definitely going to be hard to track down. Wonder Man and Captain Britain probably fall somewhere in the middle. Not sure about Iron Skull. I would say he has shelfwarm potential since he's not based on the comic books or the movies, but at the same time, that's true of Taskmaster as well and the previous Red Skull was pretty hard to find from what I hear.

@ Dr. Kain and En Sabah
Yeah, the Danger Room parts came with Marvel Select Cyclops, Storm and Gambit. I made the flight stands that Phoenix and Magneto are one and the red "X-Men" logo out of styrofoam. Cheers! |

Just opened up my TRU Avengers three pack, and while I have no pictures just yet...here are some thoughts...
Sam Wilson Cap: I'll try not to focus on his lack of wings, because the fact of the matter is that even though he is without them, he's pretty well executed. I was surprised to find that most of the upper torso is actually a new sculpt, with the star and chevrons being sculpted and raised, as opposed to simply just being painted on. Speaking of which, they're pretty crisp and clean, and while I wish a wash was applied to the red, the figure is appealing to look at. The legs appear to be somewhat short and stubby, but outside of that, Sam is pretty well done. I wish Hasbro would retire this clip type shield already, and simply go with the ones with the molded straps like we get with the MCU cap figures. Vision: Nothing really to rant and rave about, but, I dig this new costume, and the new headsculpt is pretty solid, although he looks a bit too irritated to be Vision. The paints were really crisp on mine as well, so no complaints there. Bucky Cap body getting more mileage...thank goodness though it's getting retired soon. He's served us well. One thing to note, the new cape is awesome looking, and stays well enough, but is tricky to get on properly. You kinda have to bend it outwards a bit to insert the peg, otherwise it just barely fits on the shoulders and will pop off really easy. Solid figure. Bout the only other thing I could complain about is a lack of interchangeable hands. Two fisted Vision seems just wrong to me. He should have some outstretched hands so we can pose him in the classic gestures we see in the comics. Come on Hasbro...get with it already. Kate Bishop: Not the costume I wanted just like everyone else, but truthfully, I don't know enough about the character to have a major gripe there. What I do know, is that she's pretty much standard repainted fare, utilizing the newer legends female body mold we just recently got with what appears to be an all new upper torso. Leg and hip articulation are better than Silk and Ashley Barton, though not by much. Her hands utilize the newer style pegs and can be easily removed and swapped with other recently released characters for different looks. Vision and Falcon's can not be though...they will require some heat and alterations if you want to easily swap those out. Kate's bow looks terrific, as it actually has paint as opposed to being a solid colored piece of plastic like past bows. One big complaint though, Kate's leg was SEVERELY warped inside the package...it was bent in an uncomfortable way...like in an Anderson "Spider" Silva way...and for me at least is gonna require a heat treatment or two to set it right. |

How do you all feel about the 1:12 collective figures? Are there any you would spring for?
I'm hoping somebody in the casting community picks up a few of em just so we can get some weapons.

Marvel Legends are considered 1:12 figures. What figures are you referring to exactly?

Nothing to be considered about it, 6" is 1/12 of 6' (or 72" to keep things in unit) and Marvel Legends are therefor in 1:12 scale since the line is meant to be in a 6" scale. Barely any figure sits at 6" flat though since these are toys of superheroes and I suppose they're going for that idea of them being superior to regular people which means taller (except for those who are supposed to be shorter).
I think UpDog might be referring to the Mezco One:12 line of figures, which will be doing Marvel characters now. I personally don't like how the fabric material looks on almost any of them but if you can get past that then I've heard great things about their TDKR Batman and Judge Dredd figures.

Interesting. I didn't know they connected like that. Now I might have to pick those two up whenever my Trade Smart clearances them off for like half off. Right now, all of their toys are only 20% off.
Eel and Red Skull are the only ones I will bother with if I get the SDCC set tomorrow. I only need Red Skull now that I have given the body to the one I had to Onslaught's head and I want any member of the Serpent Society I can get. There is a Gambit? I didn't see him at Trade Smart the other day. Also, the Gambit figure looks amazing and comes with great accessories, but he's not really very poseable. I don't see them reissue him as much as most of the other Marvel Select figures, so he might be harder to find for a good price. |

You did almost the exact thing I was planning to do , but I am trying to make a Madalyne Pryor ( Goblin Queen) for my setup. I even have some of the little McFarlane Dragons to use with the Demons. Where are the little Birdbaths from?? You make them or buy them?? I Need some of those.

@Nite
Thanks. @Crow I have the Dragons also, I just didn't use them. The items I'm using as make-shift braziers can be found at any craft store in the garden miniatures section. @Tim Thanks. |
