looking good...where is that Mystique from ?
and where is that Crossbones from? I'm def gonna buy that Blob one day. My goal is to sell my stuff on ebay to use to pay for it.. instead of just spending my hard earned loot. i also think that Pyro body has held up well...but i'm a lil biased with that character as well..did he come with anything..he looks like he needs an effect or something.. Byrnes FORCED me to buy that Mr. Sinister of off him...heh...so I should have that next week. I think he's still pretty cool looking too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

So I was going through my collection and I have decided it's time to sell off a lot of stuff. My goal is to keep the definitive/my favorite version of that character. I'll be updating my sale thread soon, but I wanted to tell you guys first so you are aware.

Well I just completed the first Uncanny Omnibus and my god I am so impressed with this entire series right now. Chris and gang have provided some of the best comics I have ever read and I have read a ton of stuff. These may even be better than the best Spider-Man stories I have ever read, and a ton of DC stuff.
Nevertheless, that doesn't mean everything was perfect. I don't remember exactly where I last gave my insight on what I read, but there were some so-so things that occured in this batch. First, I loved that the X-Men got their asses handed to them by Magneto and never really came out on top despite stopping him for the time being. The Savage Land stuff with Garrock was a mixed bag. I enjoyed it, but they never bothered to explain who Sauron or Garrock were, so if I had no knowledge of them before (or the animated adaptation of this story), I would have been lost. As such, even though I enjoyed it, I have to nitpick the poor writing. The same goes for the story in Japan, sadly. I enjoyed it, but it was poorly paced and I have no idea who this Magnum guy was as I had never heard of him before. Also, who the hell is Colleen? She just appears, is suddenly in love with Cyclops, makes no mention of Jean, and they are going out with each other like nothing. But then she is never mentioned again the moment Cyke finds out Jean is still alive. I'm getting ahead of myself though. I'm not really a fan of Alpha Flight, but I would be lying if I said the two issues with them were bad. That was a really great way to introduce this team for the very first time as they made great rivals to the X-Men. Still trying to figure out why the government doesn't suddenly recognize Wolverine's resignation when they had no issue with it in Giant Sized though. The Murderworld arc was fantastic. I highly enjoyed that and felt like the writing finally started to get back on top, especially as we entered the Proteus story. Holy ****, that was dark and intense, especially coming off just recently watching the animated version of that story. And then of course, it ends with the first three issues of the Dark Phoenix Saga that I read last month, but to have them in better quality and bigger is wonderful. In fact, I can't see myself ever reading these stories again in normal comic book size. I do need to address the biggest poorly written story in this book though, and that was the Annual. Perez's art was great, but the rest of the story was pretty bad. Not as bad as the animated version of it where they gave Storm stockholm syndrome, but still bad enough compared to the rest of the stories. This random guy shows up, threatens to kill Jarvis because reasons, and then heads off to beat the crap out of the X-Men because he wants Storm. He teleports Storm to his world against her will but then the next time we see her, which is probably like an hour later, she is willing to sacrifice her life for this planet because... why? We don't see anything nor are told anything that makes her want to willingly help these people out. None of it makes any sense and the whole story is just bad. Then Arkon just suddenly has a compelte personality change in the last few pages, which goes against how he acted throughout the entire story and it sounds like he acted this way in his previous appearances. This story could have used another 20 pages to tell its story as it feels like an abridged version to it. The other thing that bothers me about the whole series is how much they belittled Phoenix in the middle of it. It's like they made her so powerful they had no idea what to do with her, so they had to dumb her down. Fortunately, the writing is so good that I can easily let it slide, but I did feel the need to mention it. Well that is it until the next volume arrives, which looks like it should be hopefully tomorrow. In the meantime, I guess I should read through my backlog of Rebirth comics. Hasbro said not until next year, which sucks because that means we have 6 months with no Spidey or X-Men figures.

It depends what you mean by normal. It's not exactly commonplace in in Western culture (and some others) because we have a societal fixation for nudity, probably stemming from many centuries of repression. But there are plenty of other cultures where nudity is unremarkable and uninteresting (even some European countries and Australia to some extent get less worked up over it than the US and UK). Even in our cultures people who see a lot of naked bodies outside a sexual context seem to get very uninterested in them quite quickly.
A question for anyone doing Marvel Legends customs, do you have to split open the female upper torso to get the arms out, or can you heat them and pop them out?

For male bodies, you're not getting that arm out without splitting the torso. |

For the female teen bodies like White Tiger and Spider-Girl, you can heat them up and pull them out. I believe this is the same for the adult female characters and for the new male teen bodies, but I've never tried it, so I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you.
For male bodies, you're not getting that arm out without splitting the torso.

How are you guys feeling about the Doc Strange wave? Seems like Hasbro is definitely playing more it more cautious with waves for movies with less established heroes and using them more to push out a few movie figures and characters they've had on the back burner and only committing to one wave. Did it with Ant-Man and to a lesser extent GotG and it makes me wonder how Black Panther/Captain Marvel lines will be handled.
Personally as someone who couldn't get Vishanti, I'm excited for the wave

Iron fist , all 3 dr strange's , brother voodoo , iron fist, enchantress seems to have grown on me.. dont have much interest in Nico will likely sell her off along with good guy baron mordo if he was the comic version this would have been a different story though i hope we get a sequel, where he turns evil.. i only want 6 figures from this wave and the BAF of course, might get a set and sell off the other 2 figures without BAF items
6 out of 8 figures might be worth getting them all in a boxset |

The only figure I really want is Enchantress & I preordered her already. Maybe I'll get the comics Doc. Strange if by miracle I can find it in stores @ retail price, not paying double for it w/ international shipping.

Looking at these customs is making me want to complete so many different teams lol. We arrived in Florida after moving from Washington state. All my toys are currently packed up and sitting in a Pod out front.
![]() Except for some figures in hand that I bought despite being on the road while ordering them... much to my wife's annoyance lol. And since I've been collecting MLs for less than a year, I have my first ML SDCC set as well, the Raft set. My daughter's loving Enchantress. Gonna be a while before I get to pose my toys again and post any pictures but now that we're here I did finally ship my loot from BBTS. Hopefully my X-Men case gets here by Friday. |

Chris Claremount era was probably their best stories. I'm glad you enjoyed them. As for rebirth titles which ones have you gotten? i've been reading a few of them, so far Batman has been great, superman # 1 was good however didnt follow up afterwords, still heard it was excellent. Harley quinn wasn't bad.... and im about to start up Deathstroke rebirth tonight. |

Personally as someone who couldn't get Vishanti, I'm excited for the wave I do think Brother Voodoo looks better with the Hobgoblin cape instead of the Vision one with a hood attached, but I'm not going to waste money on a character I really don't care about in general. Not interested in the movie versions of Strange or Mordo and the Astral Version is total crap. I've got the white Iron Fist, so I don't see a reason to buy this new one. Nico is the only figure in the wave I may buy provided I actually see her in stores. Quote:
