So I watched the first season to the 90s Spider-Man series today and it's uh... well... not all that great. I knew it had aged badly when I was watching a few episodes like 10 years ago, but holy crap this show is worse than I remember. The editing is so choppy and the CG makes it look really dated. Its saving grace it in its voice acting as that is top notch. I did still enjoy the Hobgolbin 2 parter, but that could be because of Hamill more than anything else. Ah well, I'm sure it will get better. It will at least be nice to finally watch Neo Genetic Nightmare and Sins of the Fathers in their correct order since they were not aired in order nor were they released on DVD in any order.

Wanda's my current most anticipated figure. Glad you got one with good paint. I've heard some have been a bit too heavy on the blush. Post pics if you get a chance!

I've been lucky with Legends lately, but I fear that may be true. Anyone know of any sightings of this wave out in the wild yet???

Kitty is probably my favorite figure in the wave, her head sculpt is great, no paint issues on mine, and who doesn't love a purple dragon?

Phoenix, is a pretty solid figure, I've heard a lot of complaints about her balance issues, "her hair is too heavy" "her heels make it hard to keep her standing" Personally I think the fact that her right leg is longer than her left leg is what causes the issue, so if pose her with a hip popped she stands fine. I really wish I had snagged the marvel select phoenix when she was affordable, the phoenix stand from that would look great.

Havok, not much to say about him, he's a fairly standard bucky cap figure, if you're a fan of the character he's great, if not he's kind of meh. His blast effects are neat and I hope they reuse them for Speedball one day.

Wolverine is pretty awesome, I'm not the biggest fan of the character, but the figure is solid once you get the claws straighten out, and I love that they made a new stockier buck for him.

Cable was honestly not a figure I was personally looking forward to, so his being as good as he is makes me happy. The larger of the two guns with mine was very warped coming out of the package so be aware of that. Overall I really want to get my Domino custom done now. If anyone figures out what the strip of bullets is for let me know

Rogue.... My Rogue had some QC issues. Her hair was only half glued down and seated wrong, and her headband was only half painted (pics below). She great aside from that, mine even hand a second ungloved hand behind the plastic tray, it's a little squished but nothing a heat gun can't fix. When I need to bust out the paint kit, have to color match and and then pry off and re-situate the hair piece right out of the package, you lose points

Iceman, probably the weakest figure for me, he's gummy, but not as bad as I expected, I think the biggest disappointment is the lack of ice effects

Deadpool, looks great, Wade isn't staying here so I didn't even bother to look to closely at him.

Juggernaut, seriously I don't get the hate. I love this BAF, maybe it's because I don't have and never had any of the comparable figures so I don't know any better, but this is probably my favorite BAF yet

Also WCA, they need to make a new Tigra

I have an extra Rogue head if you want it. It's just sitting here.

considering there are no actual good copies of alot of these 90s cartoons floating around. even the dvd/blu ray copies don't look all that great. i just happened to watch that about a month or so ago. i enjoyed it, brought back those old memories of watching it as a kid. however i do agree every time they start the theme song when he's swinging around in a 3d world, or just in any scene when, he's swinging around it's usually that 3dish looking background. other then that, still a good watch. it actually shocked me to find out Hamill did the hobgoblin voice, never realized that, as well as Hank azaria as venom/brock, and jim cummings did the shocker voice.... who know these big names were involved.

you already got the wave???

i know some people are more partial to certain characters, and i use this term loosely so please no one get offended by this, but i tend to be attracted to purchasing some of these "oddball" heroes, when they make them as legends. i say oddball because some of these characters haven't been used in the comics since 90s or even earlier. i was kinda bummed captain Britain didn't have the 90s costume though...

example
Machine man
tiger shark

I purchased the collector's vault because it had alot of the ODDBALL characters in the 3.75 inch line and i don't even normally buy he 3.75 line. however i did like howard the duck, moon boy, Lockjaw !!

It won't work, at least not without modding. If you check out Advocate's review you would see that it has three back pegs, meaning you will have to drill a couple into the figure to get him to wear it.

I'm not real clear on the best place to ask this here. Is the Magneto like head that comes with the new Kitty Pryde meant to fit on the BAF Red Skull/Onslaught? I'm pretty out of the loop these days.

Yeah i don't really like the sandmode Version that much because he should be textured or something like a few sand accessories. I definitely need a normal version of him though

i wanted to take a nice group shot...but works been kicking my ass, so this is how they are for now..
this feels like a wave of misfits to me when i look at all of them together...

i too would def have preferred that other Captin Britain costume..

1. Abomination - am keeping this one over the SDCC one(selling it now)...much better paint app. (still has stubby legs tho..ha!)
2. Scarlet Witch - fav of the wave..i think they did a good job on her.
3. Iron Skull - this figure is so "odd" that i actually like it..don't like the actual red skull head on it though..just the cartoony head.
4. Captain Britain - i think its the costume and helmet that make him my least fav.
5. WonderMan - Decent figure
6. Eel - serious oddball of the bunch and didn't even know who he was...but i def like this one.
7. Secret Wars Cap - Dont know WHY i like this costume...but i do.

Check Hastings/Tradesmart for the Giant Man wave if your still looking. They are going out of business and now have 40% off figures. They had a bunch of this wave (No BP's) available. Even thought they marked it up to $25 you can still get the figure for $15 at this point. I'm gonna wait a bit longer and see if they drop the price again. I would go for $10 a fig since I don't really want anything but the BAF part.

My Trade Smart only has their figures for 30% off right now. I'm going to pick up more Nick Furys when they are 50% along with some Marvel Select dioramas.

I'd probably get it if it were open to non-US residents, I'd like the figure and having access to 17,000 back issues would be a good way to expand my Marvel knowledge.

If anyone is getting it and doesn't want the figure let me know, I'll pay a decent price for it + shipping to australia.
