Common fan term for the body molds that get reused throughout the line. Some of the ones you'll see mentioned a lot are the 'Bucky Cap' and 'Grim Reaper' bucks/molds, since those are the most common male body-types.
'Bucky Cap' is the standard heroic build, used on your average hero/villain. Examples include the aforementioned (and shown earlier) Bucky Barnes Captain America; Mandroid-series Baron Zemo; Ultron-series Giant Man; Hobgoblin-series Daredevil; Warlock-series Cyclops; and many, many more. 'Grim Reaper' is the slightly bulkier heroic build, bigger than the Bucky Cap body, but not as big as, say, Tiger Shark or Captain Britain. While the Ultron-series Grim Reaper was not necessarily the first figure to use the body-type, a lot of people ID it that way as shorthand. Other figures include the Abomination-series Wonder Man; Walgreens-exclusive Punisher; and quite a few others (these are all off the top of my head, mind).

So this is very interesting! I was out for lunch and ran by Walgreens, saw an opened case of the X-Men legends, which matches up with what people have been seeing at Walgreens. What was interesting is that the case had two Polarises (Polaris? Polarium? Polari?), two OML and one of each of the rest except none of Cyclops. It was a full case.
Maybe the retailers are getting different cases....or this could have been a fluke. |

Love that Blastaar. Every SDCC set the last few year's there's always at least one figure that is a "must have", that was the figure from the 2014 set for me. Though the rest of the set was nice too.

I see the Guardians wave is finally on Amazon at reduced retail on everyone but Angela. Hopefully in a month or two Cyclops will show up at a reasonable price.

I wanted to like Polaris, but it's a mediocre execution of a costume I don't like. Unfortunately the base figures I'm interested in customizing into my ideal Polaris are quite pricey.

Pretty much every Darkhawk has this "blemish" on the left side of the toy's face at the edge of the silver mask part. Most as we can figure it's the excess plastic from the mold which leaves behind this imperfection. Some of them aren't so bad with it but I've seen some where it's a pretty obvious extra blot of plastic sticking out.

How big does the Mavel Select Gambit stand next to the Legends figures? I have an old ToyBiz Gambit, but I've never been thrilled with him. The Select figure looks pretty sharp.

Just watched the first ep of Iron Fist....
and wow...my personal opinion... i give it like 4 out of 10...it was like a CW show...or worse.. the writing..the action sequences (what minor ones there were)..the directing...nothing was really good to me....hoping it'll pick up... ************************************************** **************** I thought this was a cool Drax (original Drax) custom.... Marvel Legends Custom figures | eBay ************************************************** ************** My pickups yesterday ![]() ![]() as others have stated...this is a really good Groot figure...Rocket is pretty damn good too.. Gamora...while a nice...her legs really are too long...look where her center of gravity is vs. her leg length...that's some high %@$$*

I would guess he's too big for Legends, most if not all Select figures are in 7" scale. Really only the big characters (Hulk, Thanos, Juggernaut, etc.) can work with Legends.

I figured that, but I saw a couple images earlier in the thread with the Select Gambit in their ML collection. Hopefully we get a new ML Gambit (that doesn't look like Channing Tatum) in the near future.
