At First I only wanted Old Man Logan then I happen to see Cyclops so I got him then today I saw Shatterstar so I picked him up. All at Walgreens. I saw Sunfire(I think thats his name) but passed on him because I have the AoA version. If I see Colossus I may get him but my original ML Colossus is still my Fave. I am not to sure about the big black part of the new Colossuses Outfit.

and hey, that's great you're a spider-man fan. More power to you to like what you like. Conversely, yes, that's probably a reason some of us are not as into the wave as much, we're not as much spider-man fans and are feeling a bit burnt out on it. But there will be time we get the stuff we want you may not be as into, so it all works out.

If i can recall correctly there has never been a wave that i was all into all the figures... that includes the spider-man waves.

Hell with the juggernaut wave, i only wanted 3 figures, with the new x wave again i only want 3 figures. the new GOTG wave i only bought 2 of them, the strange wave i only ended up buying one. the list of waves can go on where i only bought 1 to 2 and that's it.

Hey guys.... Got a question. Making a custom for my 3.75" collection. I need advice on head to use. Hopefully it will fit the neck post somewhat easily, be a readily available figure not rare and expensive, and a close enough match with minimal paint....

MarvelousNews just posted up some new (low-res) images of the Mantis GOTG wave, showing off the in-package photos which also tells us who comes with which pieces. I've got them mirrored for everyone's convenience. EDIT: I did not see the front-page post until just now. Whoops.




Rocket's got Kid Groot, an alternate head, two guns, and Mantis' torso


Gamora's got a sword, a knife-like weapon, a rifle, and one of Mantis' legs


Nebula's got an alternate cybernetic arm, a pistol, and Mantis' other leg. Looks like her and Gamora are in a shared 'Daughters of Thanos' packaging.


Star-Lord comes with his blasters, a cassette tape (I think? Or maybe it's a MacGuffin?), and one of Mantis' arms. Also looks like he might have holsters under his coat for both blasters (or at least one).


Adam Warlock includes a Magus alternate head and two 'Kirby Crackle' energy accessories, and Mantis' head.


Ex Nihilo comes with Mantis' other arm. He and Adam Warlock appear to share the 'Cosmic Protectors' packaging.


Death's Head II comes with an alternate right arm to swap for his weapon-arm. And no Mantis parts.

@ukmu, I don't have Bulldozer, so I have no idea what heads would fit.

Well I was going to just get Rocket and Nebula and maybe Deaths' Head...but....Gamora looks great. The Warlock is very different from the one I have. I guess I will be ordering the entire case, which I guess is good because having Tellytubby Mantis is better than no Mantis at all.

Agreed on Gamora. I was only planning on getting Adam Warlock (and maybe Nebula for a friend if she can't get her on her own), but Gamora actually looks pretty good, even at low-res.

This new wave is pretty good actually, too bad the BAF is Mantis, would have been better if it was the Ex Nilo or something like that...I have a feeling her parts will be wanted...No pun intended...

The movie figures in this wave (except for Star-Lord) actually look fantastic.


The comic figures look kinda bland though, and they're kinda obscure characters except for Warlock (who I would have preferred his traditional look).


Not a bad wave, but I can definitely see it ending up like the Doctor Strange wave. I will say though that Death's Head should have been the BAF. Mantis comes with the least accessories of everybody and she's the 3rd smallest figure there. But I imagine Hasbro set it up that way so that people would actually buy Star-Lord, Ex Nihilo, Death's Head and maybe even Adam Warlock because otherwise those figures are gonna pegwarm hard.

Yeah, this was brought up at ToyFair, and the Hasbro dudes on-hand said that, since Ex Nihilo and Death's Head II are both designed as standard figures (EN using the large muscular body, DHII using the same body as the new Colossus), they would have to be reverse-engineered into BAFs. Which, from what it sounded like, was not that far off, cost-wise, from making a new mold intended to be a BAF.

Yeah that makes sense. Just sucks that you HAVE to buy the whole wave just to get Mantis, a character that's likely going to be very popular.

The fact that the new Star-Lord comes with a build a figure peace and Death's Head does not is exactly what I was ranting about a few pages back about being both pissed off and burnt out at Hasbro for some of their recent business practices with re-releasing figures or do-overs that are unnecessary.

Had it been reversed, I would have been okay with it, but the fact that they are forcing your hand into buying that POS by including a necessary piece of the BAF is really shady and frustrating.

This kind of practice also benefits scalpers of build a figure pieces in the long run, allowing them to charge more for the single piece on the secondary market because no one will want the figure that comes with it. This happened just recently with the Dormammu build a figure, as prices for his head were ridiculous thanks to it being included with Spectral Strange (which was a garbage MCU figure that was not needed) which forced many people like me to buy that figure NIB and attempt to sell off the Spectral Strange (which I got a whole 6 dollars for after eBay took their cut and shipping.) It also took me 2 weeks to get rid of the damn thing because no one wanted it.

Now I am not surprised that they did this and should have seen it coming, it still pisses me off to no end.

Well, only wanted the comic characters BUT need Mantis since I use movie ones as stand Ins til comic versions are done so.. Anyways guess I'm getting whole wave lol. Know what I'm using extra Starlord for(custom comic version Turk Barrett), now gotta decide what to use Gamora for.

BTW....went to Toys R Us today about an hour and a half after opening. No Old Man Logans....I don't know if they ever had them in and the scalpers got to them or what. I am losing hope....I was supposed to get called by a stocker when they got them in but never got a call. Called the TRU in the neighboring city....nothing. Called Walgreens where I saw a Logan once....nothing. I'm defeated....I hate this wave's distribution.
