Your wish list is cool and very totally 80's. IMO, the best and most classic costumes for MU characters originate from the 60s thru 80s era. The 90's had some good costumes but the huge ammo pouches theme was overkill. Sorry, but the 2000's have had very little costume improvement over any of the original looks from the 60's-70's & 80's. Like I've always said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The only one who needed the pouches was cable just cause im sure the dude ran through ammo and needed an assload of clips n such...and maybe deadpool and domino since they too used "guns....lotsa guns"- in best neo voice. there wasnt any need for rictor boom boom shatterstar and others who had uneccesary pouches to ahve em since they had weaponized like powers...but then again that was probably to detract from the fact lamefield couldn't ( and still cant ) draw below the knees worth a poop.

Itd be nice but in an age of pc and cheapness marvel dc and others would rather hire talentless hacks to murder their staple characters by slapping names on characters as it allows for not only mediocre and rehashed stories to repeat but the most executive thinking reason is they dont have to pay for new copyrights on characters so and with crap writers crap artist ( cough *BENDIS AND SLOTT* cough ) working for much less than good artists and writers it allows for more money in executive pockets....though having seen dcs sales vs marvel....( other than dc majorly tweaking Deathstroke in a really bad direction...holy crusaders is blech to me )....im kinda shocked.

Honestly marvel feels more like they are just being cheap above anything else....though nazi cap has honked me off beyond anything ive ever read.....and that includes infinite crisis from dc ( really serboy prime beating down the walls of reality....thats almost looney tunes like haha )

Please note this is personal feelings and not fact.....other than dcs sales are really beating marvels at least last time i heard.

Kamala Khan as Ms Marvel is a new character with added diversity. Yes she's inherited the title of another hero but her power set and background are entirely different from that of Carol Danvers so she is all new except for her superhero moniker. She's also very popular among the fandom and has sold a lot of books for such a new character. Kamala has already been used as a symbol for some civil actions regarding treatment of Muslim Americans so I'd say that qualifies her as new, original, and culturally relevant. Most "new" character though do just seem like complete mantle-successors in that their powers and superhero titles make them different from their predecessor only in race or gender at face value. Some of those characters have great stories and material but don't really feel new.
