I saw Loki as well, but I don't think he looks good at all so I passed especially at retail price. Will probably get the one from the first Avengers movie at some point.

Also saw Thor, Daredevil, and Punisher at Walgreens. Passed on Thor because I wasn't happy with his paint job and gap in his waist articulation, and I knew I'd be able to find one with better QC in the future since he's 2 per case.

Daredevil looked terrible in the mouth so I passed. Punisher's likeness actually came out well unlike the others, but I don't have much interest in the character.
I can't find anything new out here. I'm in a dead zone.

No Homecoming wave, no Guardians 2nd wave, no Marvel Knights, no Thor...I can find sandman figures all day though.

Yeah... I was disappointed. It's almost there, but not quite... I might get another one in the wild if I can see the painting on point.

Re: CAPTAIN NASH.

Yeah... Exactly that. None of those ladies are absolutely must have, like Dazzler and Polaris were, but they fill many niches in my displays. So I got to have them. Some dreary people sell them for 300, but that just feels like day light robbery.
Thank you for your info, and insight. I will get them eventually, but with so many releases at the moment, plus summer, etc, I will not bite. Got the SDCC Thor set and Dark Phoenix pack. But that's me done for another month or two. I resent paying outrageous costs, for what I consider a fun hobby.

And if I had $100 to blow on a figure, I would've bought it just for the guy's honesty and sense of humor. Apparently he only got two of them, and he had to get them from a foreign seller in the first place.

I'm still kicking myself, because I saw he was in stock on Walmart's website while we were at the gym one day, and figured I'd place the order after we finished up. At which point he was sold out.

Well that's good news. Maybe more people will get them than we think. Maybe it was just a limited online number. I'll be interested in seeing how this pans out and I hope it ends up doing so pretty well for the collecting community.

I have an extra arm, not sure if it's left or right, but they're back in KC. I'm not sure when I'm going back, but if you don't have them in a few weeks shoot me your PO Box and I'll ship it your way if you want.

Oh dear. Don't. Can you imagine seeing all those thousands of dollars smashed. I would never, ever collect again.
My Dazzler bust fell backward and has a massive hole in the head. Polaris bust, fell backward too and smashed her cloth, and my Mini Invisible Woman had some Geisha art falling on her hands. It's devastating. Then my cleaner grab my Platinum lady by chance and now she has no arms. Haha!

Rogue, Jocasta, Medusa, Black Widow and Dazzler are doing OK. But faaar away from anyone. Definitely not in glass shelves.

Yes it is, it's a standard sized ball joint, so a lot of heads work on that body and that head works on a lot of bodies.

My POL came today, including the Ragnarok wave. This is the first wave in 2 years that I got all the figures and I think the second time ever that I just ordered a case to save myself the hassle.

Not much to be said that hasn't been said many times prior by others, but still some quick thoughts and then some select pictures.
  • Hulk. Very nicely done. I did have a minor issue in that the left arm had the armor on backwards, but fortunately it's pliable enough that spinning it around was easy. I love the size and the mass. The weapons are a bit too much IMHO, while mine can hold them just fine, it almost feels like it's not necessary, but hey, YMMV.

  • Ares. I get every complaint. I really do. However, there's a part of me that feels like this wave had 2 BAF's, just because of everything with Ares and that for so long he was nigh impossible to find and the number of times I considered getting the KO. So to get a "better" version, with more stuff, I consider it a win.

  • Jane Foster. The only figure in the wave I didn't really want, but I wanted the BAF part and Mjolnir, so I'll find a place for her somewhere.

  • Loki. Man, Loki (much like Thor), can't seem to catch much of a break. Terrible figures, hard to find figures, etc. This one is pretty good, though that cape will not stay in. I actually really like the head horns, it's a great size and it works IMHO. I would've liked a second pair of hands so he could hold weapons, staffs, whatever. Still looks good and more green then some pictures had led me to believe he'd be in hand.

  • Odinson. Man, I like everything about this figure except the head. I would've preferred more closed hands, so he could better hold a greater range of accessories, but still, not bad at all. You also have no idea how nice the idea that we're not getting that huge shelf pec mold anymore (I hope)!

  • Hela is a treasure. Such a strong mold, great likeness, looks great, everything you could ask for. The cape stays on mine very well, though I prefer the regular head and no cape personally. Both looks are great, so you can't lose there. I will point out that my Hela, her right arm was backwards, so I had to rotate and flip to get it the right way, which I caught partway through taking the pictures.

  • Thor. As I mentioned, Thor is one of those characters with so many bad figures. Personally one of my favorite looks for Thor over the years is the "Ages of Thunder" look, which puts me in a vast minority, but there's more then a few things about the Ragnarok design that reminds me of it, so there's more for me to like. I'm looking forward to the Valkyrie/Thor 2-pack, but even this guy is very good. I am almost appalled that not a single early review of the figure I saw mentioned that he has forward hinge hands (like Hela). It's not a lot on this particular figure, but it's there and it helps. I'll be honest, I largely like the design and the figure. I wasn't expecting him to be so beefy; he's larger than the Odinson.

Ordered a 12" Daredevil when it went up for sale last night, and just got this email. Fortunately, it seems they're not cancelling the orders for those who managed to get them when they accidentally went up, just delaying the shipping to the 14th.

They have got to be issued worlwide. I'm thinking at how the All new X -Men, and then the Guardians box set sold out, and then there were plenty on discount.
I think because the whole female thing, we are panicking a bit, but it should be a mass released. Hasbro has spend a bit of money (and love, possibly) on this set.
I thought the Thor exclusive set will be a nightmare to get as it looked awesome, and then...It was everywhere in the UK. I paid way above its retail price. I am trying to avoid the same for this set.

Well done indeed! So happy you're thrilled. For me Hela was the ticked, thou I didn't love the Cate face as much as I thought I would. Also her sword feels too bendy and small. But she's great with the antlers head.
I got Jane Thor, because I adore her design, and had money to spare (see my sad previous posts).
I could not love Loki. The colour scheme and wide face put me off.
Young Thor also was not for me. The re-use of Sentry,s head, plus I just prefer The Odinson from SDCC.
And Ares. I got Ares as a whole set, and it was a nightmare to pick. I went through all sorts to get that original wave. I am ecstatic that is available to everyone (and killing those hated scalper), but I cannot justify another copy of him.
Now, Ronan, that's my holy grail. Even if I have most pieces... Still outrageously expensive.

Thor movie looks awesome. But I need that sexy, badass Valkyrie, so I will get that two-set.

Do you have the BAF Ares? I'll know first hand in a couple of weeks, but I'm curious to find out whether the new fig is just a re-deco. Is there anything different outside of the paint app?

I was just going to post that I got this as well, from a different rep for the Thor set. So glad they're not cancelling, and while it would have been awesome if it had shipped early, I'm fine with waiting and get the process.

When it was revealed (I think during that Google Hangouts thing), they said they were updating the ankle articulation to modern standards.

Hey, thanks. I missed that bit of info...I'll look for that once I have it in hand.

The lower legs (below the knee) are the King Thor ones, which include the rocker ankle.

He also comes with an axe which the prior version didn't have and the BAF parts (obviously). I don't have the original BAF, but I have seen a number of reviews (including someone who did a side by side comparison between them) and I do have King Thor, so that was an easy check.

Cool, thanks! I knew about the axe, but King Thor legs? Ok, more posing options, but may look a little top-heavy...

He's mostly the same, but the lower legs are new.
