Classic Hulk is fine hgt wise. 7ft 1000lbs. Sheesh some of you & your fixtation with Giant Hulk. MCU versions really did a number on some of you.

Hey bro, sorry for the delay - been pretty busy. Is this what you wanted to see?

edit2: Found a workaround...

Sheesh, some of you and your fixation with 'official' heights and weights. They're all made up characters, open to artist interpretation. Characters are constantly drawn at varying sizes in comics. Legends have been far from consistent with sizes - with many characters not matching the scales suggested by the official documentation. That's just since Hasbro took over - you throw the older TB Legends in and the variety gets even bigger (ML8 Storm's head compared with Hasbro's Shadowcat - for example).

I like my Hulks and Things to be big. Not Marvel Select big - but TB FO Hulk is my go to Hulk. He has been #1 for me since he was released, some 4 years before the first Avengers movie. MCU has nothing to do with it - it's just my personal preference. I have the Savage Grey Hulk from the FFF wave but there's not room for him on my shelves as he doesn't make the cut. If I'm going to display a Grey Hulk, it'll be the TB Galactus wave one (or Joe Fixit) - because that's what I prefer.

I, for one, am grateful that we have so much variety to choose from. If you want to subscribe to whatever OHotMU (or whatever other literature) says re. heights and weights - go for it. I'm happy for you. That's how you want to collect. I'll continue to buy and display what I want to, because it's my money, my collection and my display space - to do what I want with.

I totally want to make a top ten for this year. Does anyone have a list of figures that came out this year? Thanks!

AMEN!

Collect what you want and how you want. Let others, for some strange reason, stress over what you collect while your collection piles up.

Great post Robo, however, you might get accused of being an “internet tough guy” for voicing your opinion. Keep standing up to that nonsense.

Thanks friend! My post wasn't really targeted at the OP - just triggered by them. Their post wasn't particularly harsh - it just felt quite presumptuous. I've been a fan of Marvel Comics and a collector of Marvel Legends for considerably longer than the MCU has existed so to state as fact that the MCU "did a number" on me is nonsense. Is the fact I prefer my Hulk larger than the OP a fixation? No. A 'fixation with the size of a Hulk toy' is not on my list of mental conditions. Thank you.

To say "It is a fact that character X is Y height and Z weight." is bonkers, when you're talking about a fictional character. However, someone can say: "It is a fact that a certain publication states that character X is Y height and Z weight - and I choose to make my collection adhere to that as closely as possible." and it's a different story.

You want to talk height/weight of WWE wrestlers and how accurate their toy depictions are to their real life physical forms, go for it (not really appropriate for a Marvel Legends appreciation thread, but you get what I mean).

I was never that keen - his arms seemed too long, ab joint was a bit odd and his crotch looked far too high (although that would explain why he looks like he's in so much pain!). Not to mention he was a bit small, for my liking. Don't be too hard on yourself though! Time and perspective can do a lot to change opinions - and they're only opinions so none are any more or less valid. I've had many an opinion about a figure change over time, mostly due to alternative options.

I'd totally buy MLs of Ferrigno and Bixby. Throw in Hasselhoff as Fury, Hammond as Spidey - and you're halfway to a vintage TV/movie wave.

Added WonderMan and SpiderWoman to the Avengers shelf to step it away from an MCU line-up... (and obviously I favor a MASSIVE Hulk for my ML line-up) LoLz.

Great setup. I forgot quite how many Marvel Select Hulk figures there have been! That's the 'Unleashed' exclusive one, right? He sure is a veiny bang stick!

No one really talks about that Hammond Spiderman but that was a fantastic series. I actually love the Lundren Punisher. It was very fun and cheesy. As teen I would look down on it, but as I got older and smarter and understood more about people, it really is a fun flick that has some cheesy goodness and charm.

Last time I saw the Hammond Spidey, I took note of the action, the real stunts and the unique first person perspective of some fights. Very enjoyable I must say.

I was wondering why my bank balance was looking particularly disheveled...

@Boy_Blunder - I think you've just helped explain most of the cause. I picked up well over half of that list and I reside in the UK, where RRP for a standard, single ML is at least £26 ($35).

Great work. Looking at the figures though, the BAF's were all kind of terrible. The Sandman or Warlock were real winners, the the BAFs were mostly terrible or rather underwhelming now that I look back.

Thank you Boy Blunder for the comprehensive list.

From that list, I got about 60 figures, 7 of which I sold or gave away (Star-Lord, Daredevil, Drax, Jim Lee Cyclops, etc) as I didn't like or needed doubles). This is my top ten and why:

1-DAZZLER: Just the fact that it got made, and so well, plus is from my favourite X-men era (same goes for Cyclops/Dark Phoenix pack).
2-MANTIS: D -list character, and I love those. Plus a terrific design and screen accuracy.
3-DARK PHOENIX: I always prefer the green version in the comics, but the head sculpt and the paint were amazing, and just looks great on display (specially with the marvel select Phoenix effect).
4-WARLOCK: first, I love the classic New Mutants, and Warlock is one of the most unique characters in the MU. Here's hoping for more NM Art Adams style.
5-POLARIS: always loved Lorna, and another way overdue character.
6-INVISIBLE WOMAN: all the previous ones were terribly outdated and just plain ugly, I love her almost classic look and her face is a great representation of Sue.
7-MAN-THING: I didn't know I needed another Man-Thing (no pun intended), but the sculpt and proportions made me love him all over again.
8-SUNFIRE: yep, another overdue classic 70s X-man, simple design, better articulation, classic.
9-HELA: Blanchett was the best thing in Thor, and this figure had a lot of love going into it. The extra head made me purchased two. Plus the respect to the original Kirby design was great.
10-NEBULA: never been a fan of the character, but the likenesses and the paint apps were outstanding.
RUNNNER-UPS:
-ULIK: It's just Kirby all over. Thou not a big fan of the character.
-GAMORA: the three GOTG females were incredibly executed.
-MALEKITH: love the face and design, thou I feel he should have been skinnier.
-SPECTRUM: long overdue character, but I didn't like the re-used coat (which I removed and changed the arms). I still need her as Captain Marvel for my Avengers displays.

I get the BP wave this week, but I doubt any of those will get on my top ten, I mainly need figures of Danai and Lupita in my collection. I love tha Namor thou, specially the bearded head.

For me mine are:
1. Deathshead2-outta left field marvel uk dude who just looks super bad ass
2. Vintage card punisher- yah hes just walgreens punisher but i still dig it!
3. Hela- gothy cate blanchett....-nuff said
4. Mantis baf- great likeness and design of a really obscure character
5. Bor- just a great looking well done figue
6. Sunfire- a nice addition to the mutant line up and good looking figure
7. Darkhawk - another obscure character i never thought id see and very well done
8. Moonknight - love the character and not my fave design but still cool to have him
9. Ares - never got the original so nice to have him
10. Ulik - great looking fig of the character
Baf- Gladiator Hulk- real beast of a fig and looks great.

Honorable mentions-
Symbiote spidey, green goblin, baf sandman, captain universe, nextflix punisher, back in black deadpool

Disappointments:
polaris - bland design and not even at least a new head sculpt.
Kamala kkkhhhhaaannn- brittle arms, goofy design, no good movement on big arms
Spidey uk- who?
Dazzler- xxxaaaaannnnadu...not my fave look, woulda preferred outback costume.
Jim lee cyclops - just feels jumbled and ill fitting leg rings...gah.
Colossus- solid fig but if going full bodied outfit should went with his astonishing outfit
Nebula - like the fig but a pain to stand

Damn. Didn't realize we got such few mutants this year... and 2 Cyclops, 2 Wolvies and 2 Deadpools taking up spots. Next year we are getting one x-men and probably 2 deadpool waves right?
