There have been reviews on YouTube of the entire wave going on 2 or 3 weeks now.

After seeing a few reviews for Noir, I definitely know that I'm going to need to pick up a few of him, as the all black AIM/Star-Lord/Ghost Rider body does have a few changes that corrects some of the sins of the older trenchcoat wearing Nick Fury body, and makes a great case for some quick head swaps. Red Skull, Blade, and Nick Fury all look great on it.

Shame the two Spideys are not the double pack for a change.

Found a cool egg mod style chair at WalMart in the doll stuff- I could definitely see Misty Knight doing business from it...

So you want to hire a hero.... by lowanbing, on Flickr

Don't get me wrong i read the space knight series and thought it was alright, but the venom symbiote belongs to none other than eddie brock.

Still want the Mysterio but it really is a shame the head bubble is as translucent as it is....would really prefer a several shades more opaque. But definitely not the smokey glass type of shade of the Spider-Man Classic one, more a white frosted plastic.

Are you talking about Jay C's review? If so, then yes, I believe he bought the whole wave from overseas.

That new Mysterio looks vastly superior to the old one.

yeah me too....while not perfect...there is a lot of things the old one got right..compared to the new one. Makes the new one look lackluster in comparison.

Is that one of the reproduction knock off ones? Looks pretty solid in the picture. I picked up a couple figures that way and I’ve been happy with them.

I don't get it. He is disproportionate. His body is way too thin and his arms and legs are too lanky. The fishbowl looks more like a space suit helmet. The gloves are not comic accurate. And then there is that peg that sticks out of his back for the action feature. YUCK!

The new one from Hasbro looks like they pulled Mysterio right out of Romita Sr's artwork.

He looks chunky... like a fat man in a padded suit sort of. I'm sure he'll be nice in hand- but the thinner Mysterio just looks nicer. A peg in back isn't a problem for me- I would just snip it off.

and? whats your point?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

im kinda torn about the mysterio figure. both have good and bad things.

the old one: has better texture on his suit lines, looks better w/gold on the boots and gloves, thinner body
the new one: has a better shaped helmut, he seems too bulky, has brighter colors

still gonna buy the new one thou cuz i like it alittle better than the old one.

Regarding this Mysterio debate:
I really dig the old one, but I think the new one is going to beat it. I really hate some stuff on the old one (like the gimmick feature and the weird hands). Is the new one perfect? Maybe not, but I think I will happily replace him.

My two cents: Quentin Beck is a stuntman/effects artist so it makes sense his suit it padded I like the sculpt of the new one but I like want it to have the gold colors of the Toybiz one haha

I wonder if they'll rerelease Ronan as a single release like Ares.

Now that they did it once, and it seemed like a success, I could see it happening again.

I'm gonna go Team Hasbro on this one. Honestly the only thing the ToyBiz one has going for it over the Hasbro one for me is the gold color and the shading. The fishbowl head is way off for Mysterio and the body on the new one is better proportioned.

There's several remedies I can think of off the top of my head that can fix the whole see-through helmet thing. You could probably just stuff it with a cotton ball and it should work effectively. Or find a Quentin Beck-esque head to put in there.
