Those jerkies know who they are.

agreed...and it kinda makes me wonder...WHAT will be the first superhero movie from Marvel that bombs. or at least doesn't recoup its investment.. ya think it will happen eventually??
Guess I'm a "jerkie" for thinking it had the potential to bomb. My reasons were different from a lot of others (I cited superhero fatigue and unfamiliarity with the character mostly,) but hey, I'm eating crow. I'll own up to that.

I'm glad it didn't, as it holds the door open for Marvel to give characters they never once considered profitable a shot.

As for the first superhero film/property from Marvel to bomb...it already happened. Inhumans. It was originally supposed to be a feature film, but it ended up devolving into a TV series, and then ended up bombing miserably.

I'd throw Iron Fist in there as well. I know that it's considered a television show, but given the quality, budget and content of Netflix's TV shows, they really do end up feeling like 10 hour movies.

Now that Robbie Reyes is an Avenger I can hope he gets a figure.

Not rumored anymore. They confirmed it at the show, but no pics yet. I don't think pics were allowed in the presentation.

Oh god. I just had a thought what if they did BAA (Build an Armor.) I don't know how well that would go over.

But I know a lot of people who are gonna be jazzed as all hell to FINALLY get some classic villains and characters that deserve figures (Pepper, Sif). Would've loved to see a Whiplash figure, though, as well as a Peggy Carter. Definitely getting the Wanda/Vision pack, though.

Wanda and Vision are NOT from the 10th Anniversary line. They are from the Infinity Wars line/wave. The Infinity wars box for the 10th anniversary line will be a 4 pack with Iron Man Mark L, Iron Spider, Black Widow, and Doctor Strange.

So Laurence Fishburne and Disney are putting together a Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur TV show.

Dare I hope this finally gets us a Devil Dinosaur figure?

Well hopefully it'd be like the Kitty Pryde figure where she had an Onslaught head for the Red Skull BAF in addition to a Juggernaut piece but with Hasbro these days you never know!

The MCU anniversary line is looking great....I must say. Very disappointed in lack of 12" figures but excited for the rest of the year.

Marvel comics themselves seem to want real fans back and abandon the Millennial ideology....so yeah...everything is coming up Milhouse for me in the Marvel front. Superman is back in his undies....I am good in my comics-action figure universe for the foreseeable future.

Thanks, just got X-23 and Deathlok for less than $22 shipped thanks to the BOGO50%, plus $15 in R Us Rewards I'd been saving for a couple weeks.

Kind of worthless when the site only has the three figures I already got.

Sure, I need to get a replacement Deathlok, but there isn't anyone else to order with him.

Nah, it's the 90's DP that got double packed. He doesn't come with a BAF piece.

If they'd made it the X-Force version without a BAF piece, all the people who managed to get he convention exclusive wouldn't have a reason to buy it! I can't see Hasbro making a move like that...

That is the truth though.... if your not a comic nerd like some of us, people without the knowledge have no idea at all who BP is.

My father just asked me last night, how long has he been around? My father is 65 by the way keeps up with alot of modern stuff and so fourth. He said he has NEVER heard of him prior to the movie. Even though BP was created in the 60s or 70s.....

Marvel movies to flop? First hulk movie, man thing, alot of people didnt care for the fantastic four movies etc. Granted this was still prior to the "MCU" but they did flop.

I missed the Deadpool stuff on TRU, but I still have them on Big Bad, so I'll just keep that pre-order. In the meantime, here are some pics of some recent pick ups/customs/what my shelves are looking like right now.

That Jack O' Lantern is boss. Is that using the Agent Venom body?

I think there is a "chance" of MCU burnout after Avengers 4 and phase 4 begins (not including the spider-man movie in summer 2019.)

The reason I say this is that while the newer characters solo films are popular, I wonder how audiences will react to group movies that do not have the MCU tentpole characters in them - assuming that Thor, Captain America and Iron Man are not serving/do not make it out after Avengers 4. The question is will the market interest be sustained in seeing a movie of second stringers? It very well might, but I think it's also possible it may not.

This is exactly why the success of Black Panther is so big. I’ve studied this universe since the summer of 2007. Marvel Studios built up Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. Those were B list characters who the general audience had no clue who they were, now they are a multi billion dollar franchise. Now you build up Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain Marvel, and of yeah you still have the Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man. Keep giving us good films with characters that we care about and the success will continue.
