I get where you are coming from. I like most of the X-Men movies and only hate one and am so-so on one, but I like them juset as much as the MCU movies. But I will absolutely agree even with DOFP (possibly my favorite superhero movie period) the continuity is a flippin mess. I've never seen a series where so many things just don't add up. And that's mostly because after the first three movies they really had no plan and were winging it. So I agree, let's not salvage anything from this timeline/universe, let's just have a fresh start in the MCU.

If it were up to me I’d launch it just like they launched the 90’s toon, introduce the audience to the x men through a young character ( jubilee) but save us a whole new re-re-re telling of the origin stories. And for god sake do some semblance of recognizable costumes! Even if it’s just like what they did with first class. And quit just throwing characters in at any random age in any random time line for no reason, beast was human in the first x movie, then like 40 and blue in x3 but then like 20 back int 60’s? Makening him like 70 by x3? Jubilee, Emma Frost, and angel are also all over the place in those. That’s even worse than Terrence Howard ducking out after the first iron man!

Thanks! I really like it! A friend of mine made it, I can not take the credit. Quote:
I unapologetically love X-Men, X Men United, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past is one of the greatest comic book films ever made, and Logan. With that being said, when they come home they must be rebooted. Start from scratch and tell new stories. Give us a slow build to Wolverine and Storm. Start with the original 5 (Scott, Jean, Hank, Warren, and Bobby). Show us what a team of X-Men can do and what Charles means to them.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I love the current and past x films, if you don’t let the continuity get to ya they’re great. And yeah ideally they could do a slow build but that would take years, I’d wat a whole trilogy devoted to the original team, disappear them in the end of the third one then go into the new x men just like the books, but trying to bring them into the current MCU would be so hard if you started with teenage versions of the originals. I can’t wait another two decades for a proper Jim Lee era gem! in a perfect world Marvel would have had the rights sense the beginning to avoid retcons and such but we’ve gotta work with what we got. They could at some point do a WW2 flashback with wolverine and cap, that’s feasible.

In people's opinion, would you want the current Deadpool in the MCU? Reboot him? Or just keep him away from everyone?

I'd like his current iteration to be in the MCU, it might not make complete sense but I think a bit of 4th wall breaking on his behalf could make it work. Last edited by DarthKamen; 02-21-2018 at 05:08 PM.. |

I’d keep him, he’s not really linked to any of the established x continuity, (or lack there of) as long as the other characters like cable domino and colossus are folded in proper when the time comes.

Blade 2, best comic movie to date. I’d like the first one just as much if they would go back and redo the blood god special effects.

Lol, I liked SM2 it’s definitely up there, but one thing that’s always bugged me about the old SM movies is how often he takes his mask off. We get it your a big pretty actor we all know what you look like! When your in costume wear that shit! That goes for you too tony and Steve!

I have to agree. Those movies came out when I was a kid and even then I'd be like "people will be able to see your face put your mask back on!!!"

You’ve got a darn good point. On one hand you don’t want the X-Men to be teenagers, on the other hand the Jim Lee era team is the most recognizable. I didn’t think of that. I suppose if the X-Men have been in hiding for year the Jim Lee roster would be ideal. Mid 20’s to early 30’s versions of Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Gambit, Psylocke, and Jubilee would set them tone for years to come in the MCU with the X-Men.

Oh oh oh and a flash back of the hulk / wolverine fight from hulk 181. Have it be explained that it was when ( Norton) Banner was on self exile. |

With the exception of flash backs later on with Cap and Wolvie if and when they met up again the X-men would be new to the current MCU.

Man I will take every great/mediocre/terrible X-men movie they give us! I will alway appreciate them and gleefully watch the toys of my childhood come alive on the big screen. I will always be a bigger fan than critic when it comes to super hero movies, and also second (or third or fourth) that DoFP was a fantastic comic based movie |

The inclusion of the X-Men into the MCU this late in the game will be awkward no matter how they do it.
