It really is weird as she could be so easily made with no new tooling save for her mask. I mean just slap a moonstone head and uppertorso onto hellcat body with redhands a lil paint same wih the feet and some boot pint and viola.
It's irritating. She's one of the, at this point, most requested figures I see on the various boards, AND. maybe more importantly, THE. MOLD. IS. DONE. She's already been tooled (this is per comments they made last year at SDCC, unless they were joking which would seem like a shit thing to do.) If she's made I don't see why they can't just put her in an X-wave. Again as with Alpha Flight, I'd gladly push back almost any redo by a year (not Jim Lee Storm though lol) just to get a Firestar done and out of the way.

/End rant...for now...until she comes up in discussion again./

They'd mentioned in the past the holdup is that Marvel does not allow them to put X-Men characters in non-X-Men waves anymore. Firestar is mostly associated with Spider-Man and the Avengers, but they found out they can't actually release her in a Spider-Man or Avengers wave because of that.

So if we get her, it's gonna be in an X-Men wave most likely, and the trouble there is that there's already a long list of X-Men fan favorites ahead of her.

I agree there! Also, I highly appreciate your username and avatar. I'm dying for a Maverick figure!

Honestly if they're having trouble fitting Firestar into an X-Men wave....just make her a Walgreens exclusive...lol.

There's only but a short list of X-Men related characters that I'd want to see before Firestar.

Put her in a damn amazing friends 3 pack. We get have, classic iceman, and a brightly colored toon Spidey. If, like me, your burnt out on more spideys swap him with a thing from the” flintstones meet the thing” show. Then Hanna Barbarah can get in on the licensing bitch fest. Thing ring do your thing!

Why would Firestar be an X-Men figure anyway? She's part of the New Warriors. She belongs with Nova, Thrasher, and Speedball.

It's more than that though. The Biker Black Widow body is best suited for Firestar.

She's a mutant and her first in-continuity appearance was in Claremont's X-Men. She was also one of Emma Frost's Hellions for a number of years before she became a New Warrior.

Even in the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends cartoon (where she was originally created), her backstory established she was a mutant and a former student of the Xavier Institute.

I believe her most recent appearance was in X-men as well though I don't know if it was as part of the team. I know she is going to be featured in an issue of Icemans book with Spidey.

Thatd be okay too. Just pour the colors into the mold and thats that. Either way the only new tooling would really just be her mask as the face underneath would be obscured by the mask. Just dont paint yellow over res on the lower leg

She was hired by Kitty to be a teacher at the Jean Grey School and she was on a team lead by Nightcrawler, though I have no idea how long that lasted

Bishop is cool, I'm really pleased that Hasbro is keeping the shades of blue and gold consistent across the various X-Men figures. My biggest complaints with this one are that the gun holster is really bulky and the floating armbands don't stay put

Wolverine, this figure is a lot of fun, the sculpting is good, the paint apps are mostly clean no complaints. I did pop the unmasked head she came with on my old X-23 custom, I might pick up the X-Force one and swap the hands on my custom.

Woohoo. Wife surprised me after work this afternoon with Silver Surfer, Purple hair Psylocke and a third Multiple Man. I think I'll stop at 3... for now.

Multiple man comes with 3 heads... so stopping at 3 makes sense.

I got Bishop and X-23 Wolverine from Gamestop last week too... Bishop is nearly perfect, but he really should have came with two guns IMO. And I only bought X-23 Wolverine for the unmasked head and it was worth it IMO. X-23 with the unmasked head is one of my fav figs now.

And if they can do Firestar than can do classic blue outfit Shadowcat too. I've been wanting a blue Shadowcat figure since forever... they already have all the parts I think... Dazzler's top and maybe Rogue's legs or something.

I don't know why I'm just realizing this....but MCU Hawkeye hasn't had a figure made of him since 2012.

Yeah, technically, there was that AoU 4-pack, but that was just the old figure with a new head sculpt.

Where's the Hawkeye love?!? He's had at least two suits since then that look far better than his original look. It's about to be 3 with the Ronin suit for Avengers 4.

We're definitely getting a new Hawkeye.

Of the heroes between the two movies, we've already gotten Iron Man (who looks to be wearing the same armor here), Thor, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Iron Spider, Rocket Raccoon, Black Widow, Okoye, Falcon and Bucky, Loki, the other Guardians, Doctor Strange, Vision and Scarlet Witch recently. We're also confirmed to be getting a two-pack with Iron Man and Nebula. Captain Marvel is also confirmed to be getting a movie figure in her own wave just a few months prior, so Hasbro won't be double dipping by putting her in the Avengers 4 wave.

So, with Shuri confirmed, just about the only major characters left for the Avengers 4 waves next year who haven't already been done are Hulk, War Machine, Hawkeye, a new, clean shaven Captain America, armored Thanos and the remaining Black Order members (who we're said to be getting).

^ I didn't know we were getting a new Nebula... I was hoping we would eventually get a figure of her wearing her new reddish brown outfit.
