Someone ask what Marvel legends are ther still to produce...
Well, as an older fan, I guess the choice is obvious. From the Avengers we need: Mantis Swordsman two-Gun Kid Jocasta Captain Marvel Quasar Stingray Jack Of Hearts Tigra From The X-Men: Storm Banshee Thunderbird Mimic Meggan Rachel Grey Inhumans, Alpha Flight and New Mutants most of them. We need Clea, and baron Mordo. Also Eternity. Classic Drax, Pip the troll, Korvac, Nebulon, Shaper Of Worlds... FF villains, Diablo, Wizard, Molecule Man, Trapster, From the Defenders, Gargoyle, Hellstorm, Howard the Duck, Red Guardian II, classic Power Man. From The Thunderbolts, Atlas, Match X, Fixer. From The Guardians, all the classics: Martinex, Charlie, Nikki, Yondu, Starkawk. Plus Moondrangon. At least two Eternals, Sersi and Ikaris, with Makkari that's a collection. The Celestials. The Circus of Crime, Ringmaster, Princess Python. Hellfire Club: Shaw, Leland, Frost, Tessa, Selene, Pierce, Wyngarde. Brotherhood of evil Mutants: Unus, Toad, Destiny, Avalanche. Classic villains like Ultron, Doom, Kang, Nefaria, Morgan Le Fey, Mordred, High Evolutionary, Xemnnu, Savage Land Mutates, Marauders, not to mention the rest of the Serpent Society. How about Nick Fury's paramour Contessa Valentina? Not even getting into the MICRONAUTS that Marvel own like Bug, or Marionette. So, yes, there are plenty of Marvel characters with way more than a hundred issues of showing up, that I consider classics, that still and should be made. |

Yep. I was the same. X-force? Really? But I follow Chris at Comic Tropes, and he recommended it. And I'm loving it. Well written Betsy, and I even like Fantomex and Deadpool because of it. I try to get out of my box every so often. I'm more of a Walking Dead, Saga, faithful. But if there's a good run on my old time favourites, I tend to seek it out. Like Hulk recently. At my age, I don't care so much bout the characters but the creators. I'm also enjoying Tony Stark. I mainly go for Comixo sales, and see what tickles my fancy. I travel a lot, so it's great to get lost in comics, when I'm tired of watching movies. Plus less battery spend. |

Gotta say I'm loving the scaling of MAFEX Spider-Man with Marvel Legends:
![]() Him being slightly shorter works since Spidey is shorter than most Male, non-Wolverine heroes anyway. Pizza Spidey was actually a tad bit oversized for Spider-Man. I'm hoping Venom scales well too, since we desperately need a good 6-inch Venom. |

Yeah, those SWAT guys are pretty tempting and I'm loving the weapons set. Not really a into the Marvel-lite figures myself either, but thought I'd namedrop them with this being the Marvel section and all that. Hopefully this KS will hit its mark.

There don't seem to be many comic forums which aren't awful to be honest. Most of the actual comics discussion I've found happens on twitter (with a lot of awful mixed in) and tumblr. There is a good community of people here, if we started using the comics section it could be as good a place as any?

I've made a small start in the "what are you reading" topic.
Question for people who have converted Silver Sable into Liliandra, how do you get her belt off without cutting it? I've tried heating it and it still gets stuck on her hips or shoulders and I'm not game to try start popping limbs off without knowing they won't break.

Mafex Spidey looks spectacular, but I just can pull the trigger on that price due to his darker colors and the lack of webwings. The accessories are amazing though. However, I know sooner or later they will be a superior figure that looks closer to the way I want, which is a Romita Sr Spidey. Now that to me will be the ultimate Spider-Man toy to get. At least, that is what I hope, but we are in a web where there will always be a better Spidey figure released after the one each one of us buys.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's a Kickstarter in process for 6in. military type figures that are being advertised as working well the Marvel Legends-scaled figures. The creator has even included "totally-not-SHIELD" & "totally-not-Hydra" soldiers that could help bolster army-building ranks. They've also got a pretty slick weapons cache as a stretch goal, if funding is met. Thought some of you might be interested, so deets and link below:

I actually dunno who that is, but if he can fill the charisma void that Endgame will likely leave us with, I'm all for it. Now that Xandar is dust, they have a real opportunity to use all of these ripples Thanos made to stir the next phase. Quote:

![]() But, yeah. It's one of the least welcoming fandoms ever, when it's a pretty great time to be a fan of the stuff. Imagine wasting that much time and energy on hate. Out of all the places to talk about comics online, I probably enjoy what little I get of it here the most. I'm open to whatever. Quote:
Ronan is coooooooold-blooded. And man, I've been dying for Skrull figures (Kl'rt especially) in anything more elaborate than spandex. They deserve it. My collection needs cosmic bad guy troops, just give me the Super Skrull army that the Empire was using during Secret Invasion. ![]() Infinity was a fun event, glad you liked it. |

Not knowing if they are going to address Xandar at all in Endgame, Infinity War really sets the stage pretty perfectly for a Nova movie.
Thanos attacks Xandar to get the power stone, nearly wiping out the Nova Corps. He leaves one of his Black Order, Zorr, behind to mop up any surviving Corpsmen, as he doesn’t want them causing trouble while he gathers the rest of the stones. What’s left of the Corps, lead by Rhomann Dey attacks Zorr’s forces. It’s a mutual slaughter and only Zorr and Dey survive. Zorr flees to the last known destination of the Black Order: Earth. A mortally wounded Dey is in pursuit. Abin Sur, I mean Rhomann Dey manages to follow Zorr to Earth, but is in bad shape... he’s going to die. In a last ditch act of desperation he transfers the Nova Force to a random Earthing, young Richard Rider. (Marvel might want to age him up slightly from a high schooler to somebody in their early 20s to avoid hitting the same beats as Tom Holland’s Spidey). Richard is very confused by all of this, but luckily he is guided by the not always so helpful Xandarian World Mind, providing comic relief in the voice of its previous host, Rhomann Dey, John C. Reilly. (World Mind/Dey is sarcastic and has little patience with Rider as he figures out his new powers “What are you doing?!”) Nova gets his shit together and defeats Zorr, because the Avengers are busy it something, The End. |

A couple of extra tips, fold the legs up to a sitting position once you get the belt near the bottom of the figures hips. This will make it easier to slide off. Also, as weird as this may sound, applying a small dab of dish soap or a water-based lubricant around the hips will allow the belt to slide off a bit easier. I prefer dish soap, as when it is wet, it will provide some slip and it will not damage or stain the plastic. Again, the most important thing is that you slide, do not pull or pick at it. Also as another alternative, what you could do is pop off the upper torso since female Legend figures are not constructed in the same way as male Legends figures. Just be sure that when you place the figure in water, to do your best and bend the ab crunch slightly so that the hot water can seep inside and thoroughly soaked the peg within. Be sure to leave the figure in the water for at least a minute or so...two if you want to be sure. After that, all you need to do is pull on the figure and the torso should come off. Be sure to handle the figure with a towel or gloves, as it will be hot! |

The best way to know if your channel is growing is when you start getting comments to kill yourself. I get them every now and then, but their infrequent enough for me to know I'm not growing as fast as I wish I was.

When removing the belt be sure to use boiling water over a hair dryer. It softens the plastic much better and more thoroughly than using applied heat. Let the figure rest in the water for a while to ensure that the body parts go soft, and when removing the belt be sure to slide the belt off using your fingers. Do not pull it or use your fingernails to pick at it

I think Spider-Man made a slight reference to it when he was welcoming Sam Nova to an Avengers meeting, like it was intended make Sam less nervous. Speaking of Sam apparently Marvel just sort of retired him or something which is actually a bit of a shame because while I prefer Rich I wound up enjoying Sam's book and the (as of now) last Nova volume starring both of them was pretty fun.

Have they done anything with Rich since Resurrection? Last I remember seeing him was in the GotG series that led into Infinity Countdown.

He’s in the Black Order book. He’s also in the new Guardians of the Galaxy, or he’s about to be. Eros is trying to find Gamora, Nebula figures the best way to track her down is through Rider.
