I'm quite happy if they release the Stepford Cuckoos. They were one of the best creations of the Morrison era, and I like them in Gifted. Plus possibly another civilian outfit to alternate heads. They were not high on my list of wants, Magma (on fire), Tessa, Selene, Deathstrike or Deathbird are way higher for me.
At Canada expo the Hasbro guys were asked if they would do a male body for the rest of the New Mutants-Cannonball, Sunspot and Cypher, and they didn't see opposed to the idea, thou those two are always coy about confirming future releases so, time will tell. But for sure this might be my favourite ML year will all the 80th ann stuff, New Mutants, Alpha Flight, X-Factor, and of course all the X-Men stuff. |

Oh I agree, I wish all the New Mutants had their own body shape, but I doubt that will happen.
I mean, Dani is supposed to be skinny, Karma shorter but more full, and Wolsfbane even shorter but bustier, and if we add Magma, she was taller like Dani, but not skinny. That makes me think...imagine we get a Shadow King deluxe set? It could come with different hands, spider legs, and an alternative Karma head with a lovely dress. Now that would be ace. Given that they showed off the NM Wolfsbane with the 90s X-Factor team, I don't think they are planning to do an X-Factor one.

Wow. The Stepford Cuckoos. Not really a deep cut, they've been pretty present for the last 15 years, but not something I would have thought would get a Legend figure. Not something on my radar either, but I'm sure I'd get 3 of them if I can. Or at least 1-2.

And here I thought Dani Moonstar was a deep cut for a Walgreens exclusive.

The Alpha Flight set got me thinking about what other less popular teams they could knock out (or close enough) in one set and a super easy one would be the Starjammers. There's only four, Ch'od would be a super easy rework on the Abomination body, and the others wouldn't need too much new work.

Can't wait to see which design choice Hasbro went with the Stepford Cuckoos. Walgreen's has been getting the best exclusives.

The big block on that one is that there are 8+ of them and both Rockslide and Gentle would need to be BAF type big. It's not totally out of the question but I imagine it'd be easier to slip members into X-waves over time and then maybe wrap it up with a multipack, like how Hasbro handled Alpha Flight. I think the Starjammers would be one of the easiest one and done deals for not-so-popular groups since there's only four of them.

Thunderbolts maybe as well? Though with Songbird and Citizen V done, and Atlas would have to be a BAF, I think they're a better bet to get made in regular waves. Sinister Six: I know there's been many iterations, and we've got so many figures of so many of them, I could see them doing it but I question the need for it. New Mutants also appear to be more likely to get the bodies with multiple heads, but one never knows. We could talk about their more individual costume looks of course, but I really doubt that's going to happen. Hellfire Club is possible - but would have to be an online exclusive as there's no way they're making that for general retail. Great Lakes Avengers - They're neat but they're even more niche than Alpha Flight. I could see us getting a figure or two but not a whole set. Classic X-Calibur might be a possibility, or mid 90's - like when Pete Wisdom joined but Shadowcat still had her blue outfit. Give us Meggan, Nightcrawler, another Captain Britain and Rachel Grey. Young Avengers - I'd say this is incredibly likely. We have Kate Bishop, but that's it as far as Hasbro goes. We'd need Patriot, Iron Lad (I think was his name : AKA kid Kang), Wiccan, Hulking. Stature would be nice but I'd think would require a BAF. Classic Masters of Evil: Another potential, but honestly with lots of reuse and little touch ups on Baron Zemo, Enchantress, Black Knight, Radioactive Man, and likely modifying MCU Executioner to his comic counterpart, all we're left with is Melter. Which means Hasbro will almost certainly choose this as an option. But given we're only one member short, Meh. I don't need/want Melter that bad. Crimson Cowl's MOE: I know, really? But we have Tiger Shark and Klaw. the 3 Pack Scarlet Witch with a new head and body cape would be a pretty good Cowl. Man-Killer pages ago was mentioned as something for the She-Hulk buck. That leaves Flying Tiger and Cyclone, as much as I could pass on them, if this came as a set I wouldn't turn it down. Generation X-: Jubilee redone, redone Banshee, closer to classic Emma Frost, throw in Monet, Synch, and Chamber, or heck, if you want to leave out Banshee/Emma as they'd probably sell on their own, add in Skin and Husk. New X-Men: Honestly, there's so many to choose from and so many would need new sculpts I don't know how likely it would be. But if they put one out I'd buy it. Edit: adding in one final one: West Coast Avengers: the original team with Tigra, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Safari Jacket Wonder Man, Iron Man and also jumpsuit Hank Pym. All in all, what I think would be most likely: Young Avengers, New Warriors, Excalibur, Generation X, classic Masters of Evil, possibly Sinister Six. ^ LOL. That just makes me wonder why Captain Marvel didn't put on the Infinity Gauntlet when Spidey gave it to her... IMO she is powerful enough to use it and not get permanently injured or die. Or heck, why didn't Hawkeye or Spidey just put it on and sacrifice themselves... I mean the hard part is getting all the stones.

Well we only really have Night Thrasher since the only Richard they've made so far is when he ridiculously outclassed and outgrew the rest of the team. That being said they could do a five pack with classic Nova, Speedball, Justice (was he still Marvel Boy?), Namorita, and Firestar. Throw in Niels the cat just because but I'd leave Night Thrasher out for the same reason Mac is being left out of the Alpha Flight pack. Of course since Firestar is in the mix this will never happen.

![]() But any design except for that weird fetishy schoolgirl costume they were in for a bit would be good.

The students of the Xavier Institute called them that. Like the Stepford Wives... but crazy... So Stepford Cuckoos. They originally called themselves the Five-in-One but two died. They are clones/daughters of Emma Frost created by the Weapon Plus program... (there were originally thousands apparently but most were destroyed) ... or something like that...

The Stepford Wives + The Midwich Cuckoos = Stepford Cuckoos.

Lol I grew up in the city that borders the CT town that the 1975 film was fictitiously based on. The subjects of the movie were 'crazy' for all intents and purposes as they'd been brainwashed. Heh, the reality of the town (and many pocket communities in the state) wasn't all that different from the flick - even despite its close proximity to NYC. Since seeing the move in syndication as a kid, I've always referred to CT as the 'Stepford-state.' At least that's been my experience growing into adulthood here...a strange and vacuous disconnect from the greater reality.
I always found the Cuckoos reference interesting and assumed whomever came up with the idea had an intimate knowledge of many of the wealthy bedroom-communities of Fairfield county. Definitely a reference that went over the heads of most readers familiar with neither the movie nor the region... So, will Hasbro sell all three at once, or one with multiple heads? Not that I really care this is not an interesting leak, for me. |

Now that is a cool X-men team shot. And I actually really like the metallic blue on Rocket Racoon Jean Grey... it makes me sad the new Jean Grey has a more satin blue color.
Also... I guess 5 bucks was the magic number for Skullbuster since all my Gamestops sold out of him all of a sudden.
