Please don’t be true. If this is true, I can absolutely jump ship. There is absolutely no figure I would pay $30 retail for. Imagine what a nightmare scalper price hikes would become.

If that $30 price tag is true, I'll buy the X-Men characters that they reveled and call it quits. $30 is too much.

I know it says Xforce but we know that there will be a black widow deluxe pack for $29.99 could there be something we have not heard yet? I hope it is not true for regular figures because i do not see how they can justify a $10 increase, maybe $2-$3 not $10. But I have been wrong before.

I’m going to hope it’s a super deluxe Cable or something.

I still remember being shocked when the first 3.75" line crossed the 10 dollar mark. 6" singles potentially crossing the 30 dollar retail barrier is really shocking to me... I mean Gamestop is one thing, but this is Target we're talking about.

There is no way this line is going to have a $10 price increase at the drop of a hat.

Hasbro even said the most the line would go up to is $22 if the tariff thing happened.

That’s what confuses the hell out of me. One fellow on Reddit observed that Target tests higher prices in certain stores to see if they can get away with it, and then brings them down when they don’t sell. It’s also of note that the post was removed.

Did some work at the toy shop today, found a few surprising exclusives in one of the bins in backstock...

Also went a little nuts with the wife this evening. Croc is going up on Ebay unless someone wants to shoot a good offer.

I remember a couple years ago when target randomly released the first guardians of the galaxy movie line but at a higher price point. Those figures sat on the shelves in all of my local targets until they finally brought the prices back down. Maybe they are testing it? I certainly hope that’s it. And I hope that test fails.

Did everyone else get the e-mail from Hasbro Pulse about the 6 month extension? Does anyone have any idea what time the early access is supposed to open up on the 22nd?

About the Target thing....

I live near Seattle. There is one Target on the north end of town that prices stuff a little higher and one downtown that is priced higher than that. I never buy any figures from either of those. I think this was just a tag from one Target, not a trend for all Targets.

I sure hope it's just an error or tag for one target. There absolutely would be figures I would pay $30 for, but I would definitely be much more choosy. My wishlist would get pared down REAL fast.

I got that email too. I guess Hasbro knew they were going to lose a lot of Premium members next week.

They've dialed back the shenanigans and the art is really nice. Honestly I like the character WAAAAY more than I should...So, I'm just leaning into that like/love
Thanks Nerd, FP... I'll try and pick up the rest of Cates GotG and Juno into thr current CGR (dialed back is better for me- his 666 version is fun but too zany for me to care about for moe than a 4-6 issue mini)

Man, if that $30.00 price point is the new standard I won't even be cherry picking anymore. Outside the MCU movies, Marvel has lost my interest in anything they put out. Hell, the last comic I actively read and enjoyed was Superior Spider-Man, and they cancelled it after 12 issues to put Doctor Octopus back to normal! I know status quo is God, but if Kaine/ Scarlet Spidey can be running around, why not two Doc Ock's??

The Target label may be a placeholder for the Deluxe Widow. Many Legends UPCs, and Target specific DCPIs, are cross referenced at Target. I collect Transformers too and every year a new line starts its the same way at Target.

The Duane Reade pharmacy by me is having big clearance sales since they're closing down, and I scored the new Fantastic Four Thing figure for only $4.99. Odd since all of the other Legends figures scan at $14.99, but I ain't complaining. Once I sell the Super Skrull BAF heads I'll actually make money on the figure.

*EDIT* And my eBay app just notified me that the BAF heads just sold. Duane Reade just paid me to buy myself an ever-lovin' Thing figure!

As the whole Target thing, I honestly don't believe $30 for Marvel Legends will be a thing. Let's wait and see what they say at Toy Fair next week before freaking out.

It's actually a new limited series entitled, "Revenge of The Cosmic Ghost Rider". He was only in 3 issues of Cates' GOTG. And he didn't do crap. Money saved.

Not a chance that price is for regular legends. We can preorder both the deluxe widow and the Monster Venom BAF for $30 so no way the regular waves are going to hit that price point so fast.

I actually started brainstorming who I think this will be and I have two theories, A massive Xforce Warpath or more than likely they will be re-releasing Xforce Archangel since that figure has already been made and carries a hefty secondary market price.

Also, just a random thought, how many figures are currently being sold at retail right now on Amazon? I have no idea what anyone thinks the price increase is going to achieve. I think it will lead to deeper discounts over time, because if things can't move at $19.99 how many are they going to sell at $22.99?

That E5302 code in the top right is for the Wendigo wave. This is not a new X-Force figure. It's either a mistake, a test market price, or a price increase at one or more stores.

Well, there we have it, the $30 Marvel Legends at Target rumor is just bullshit. Ah, the internet and the rampant misinformation it spreads...

Pearl clutching is sorta routine here...

Edit: that said I can understand 30 bones being a nonstarter for some people. I collect Mythic Legions figs, as well as Legends and they retail at $35, but there are far fewer waves to buy.
