He could be referring less to how Thanos looked and more to how he behaved and his motivations. In the comic he was more of a schemer and straight-up sinister and evil. He was also more of a loner without a crew of devout followers or an army. He also didn't want to kill off half the universe out of some twisted sense of charity like in the movies, he did it to get into Mistress Death's pants.
The movie version of Thanos LOOKED a lot like Thanos, but he didn't really BEHAVE a lot like Thanos. |

I was fine with Thanos but wish they'd kept the Death connection. Even if they had it be with Hela or something. But there are far worse comic to film translations than Thanos. But then again I'm not one of those people who automatically equates changes from the source material with badness. If a change works and makes for a better story, I'm usually in favor of it. If it's not, I'm left wondering what was the point.
Anyway if this Pyro/Rogue two-pack is legit, cool because I like movie Rogue. But I'm still waiting on a Logan and X-23 two-pack. ![]() Last edited by hasbroherofan; 03-16-2020 at 05:09 PM.. |

Thinking about it, 2020 was a hell of a time to announce the Age of Apocalypse wave...

I love you for suggesting this as I had not thought about it. I need this more than anything now. If we could get an X-24 too, that would be swell. The most shocked I've ever been in a movie.

I remember being shocked too at X-24. Very cool moment in the movie. Someone had told me he was supposed to be a movie representation of Albert, the Robot Wolverine.

Apparently at one point he was going to be Liev Schreiber too! Kinda glad they didn't go that route.

I can't believe they didn't even give him energy effects for his katanas even though they already made that effects piece.

Couldn't add them in with the budget they had, after giving him entirely new tooling, perhaps?

LOL at that giant Silver Surfer robot armor... IMO The Wolverine was a really great movie until the that giant Silver Surfer robot armor thing showed up... I mean both Japanese actresses were really great IMO... the scenery was nice... great set pieces with the atomic bomb scene and train scene... neat Jean Grey cameo... things were going so well.. then the ending happened. It was like there was a meeting after the script was finished and some corporate people decided they needed to add there own version of the Iron Man suit into the movie.
Still feels weird we are actually getting a Hugh Jackman Wolvie figure though after all this time. |

You are kidding yourself if you think they would put out a Fox Pyro before a Storm, Jean, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, all leather Wolverine, Lady Deathstrike, Iceman, Colossus, Kitty Pryde, Sabretooth, Toad, Psylocke, hell, even Jubilee. Its going to be a comic version packed with modern Rogue, and Im going to buy it.

Its been a few years since I watched The Wolverine movie.
Didnt Lady Viper or whoever say that they were digging in a mine cave or something and found a little bit of adamantium besides them trying to get the adamantium from Logan's bones? |

The Wolverine is weird because none of it makes sense from a narrative perspective. Jean's dead in it, Wolverine looses his adamantium claws, he gets recruited at the end by Prof X (who is suddenly back in his original body) and Magneto, but then Days of Future Past kicks off and it's years later, Wolverine has his adamantium claws back, and since Jean no longer died, it can't exist at all.

In X3, Moria Mactaggart was taking care of a comatose patient that was supposed to be Professor X’s twin brother. A deleted scene showed the brother waking up, suggesting that Professor X mentally transferred himself into the brother’s body when Jean attempted to kill him. I believe the end of DOFP is a new time line (the kind of thing the Avengers wanted to avoid in Endgame) and Logan is the only one to remember it since he was the one who made the trip. However, the professor knows the future was changed since he read Logan’s mind in the 70s and telepathically met his future self. |

Does anyone have the sword from the Stealth Invincible Iron Man or the older Taskmaster that they don't want? I need one for a custom.

With everything closing up early and the city on the verge of self quarantine, I've been using the time to work on some projects and enjoy some new pick ups.
![]() The arm on my previous Scream figure had broken off at the bicep swivel a while back, so I was pretty happy to find a new one at a good price. If you haven't picked up this figure, and have been on the fence, grab her. While she was easy to find when the figure hit shelves, and kinda hovered at lower prices on the secondary market for a while, she's recently been starting to gain steam price wise. While she hasn't hit Rogue Levels yet, I've been seeing her go for as much as 40 plus without the BAF part, so if you see a good deal and need her, pull the trigger. Picked up Red Hulk from Ebay...I got tired of seeing him never come into stock online, and the seller was only selling him for 45 shipped...which while it sounds like a gouge, wouldn't be all that different from paying retail + shipping from Target themselves. Plus with Target changing their hours and issuing a freeze on ordering, and the possibility of the Tucson shutting down to self quarantine, I figured I wouldn't be seeing him for a while. I have no attachment to Red Hulk honestly, and have never even read a comic with him, but I do like this figure more than the previous Hulk figures we've received so far. Not sure what it is, maybe the paints or the colors, or the headsculpt, but whatever it is, he's pretty awesome. Saw the custom Professor X on a recent Fwoosh video, and decided to use the formula Robo used. It was surprisingly simple to do, and it's definitely the look of Charles I prefer. The box in the back is "Steve", a 3rd party figure of Steve Rogers from "CA:Winter Soldier" by Nota Studios. It's more in the style of a Mezco one:12 than a Marvel Legends since it features soft goods, and with Winter Soldier still being my favorite of the Marvel Films, I simply couldn't pass on it. He's also REALLY GOOD, so I couldn't NOT share it here. It actually scales better than most of the Caps we've received, with better articulation than them as well. The likeness of Chris Evans is spot on, and the head even works with Legends figures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 03-18-2020 at 07:42 PM.. |

I have rather enjoyed the comic based bubble that X Men Marvel Legends have lived in, and the Fox figures aren't doing it for me, because the movies were a mess. Jennifer Lawrence, decade specificity that made no sense from movie to movie and little to no character development for anyone but Magneto, Xavier and Wolverine over the course of 10 movies ruined it for me. I do really like Kelly Hu's Deathstrike though. She's awesome.
