For the record, A-Bomb is not a villian, you must be confusing him with Abomination, who definitely needs a redo, and a taller redo I might add.

I prefer Nuke without his vest anyways, since he is most often portrayed as being bare chested or in a tank top, so thankfully I don't have the need to get an extra one.

However...as an alternative to Nuke's tactical vest, I feel that the black leather vest that comes with the new Rage figure looks much better on Crossbones than Nuke's if you ask me. The only issue is that the high collar does interfere with the headband a bit, but otherwise, it's a perfect fit and fits Crossbones simple all black attire. I'm definitely going to have to grab another Rage at some point, hopefully as the price comes down a little since he's still so new and I have no need for the BAF part.

And for those of you wondering, as I don't think it has been mentioned, the tactical vest from the old Crossbones does not fit on the new figure in any way. That old figure was simply too large so it doesn't work.

Jesus christ people need to chill the fuck out. The reviewer Jay C today wrote an article talking about SDCC possibly being canceled and his own opinion on the matter and people started going off on him because "the Corona Virus is a more importat matter!" I get we have the impact of the virus, but not every freaking thing needs to solely focus on that aspect and spend paragraphs talking about it.

@Hulkwummy - I also liked the 'Hulk' villains you mentioned. I didn't care for the 2003 Hulk film, but the video game based on the film was surprisingly fun. We need more Hulk villains from Hasbro, and more Hulk figures in general. I also loved the Gargoyle on the 1990s "The Incredible Hulk" animated series. Mark Hamill did a great job with the character.

To be fair to Rage, it's an easy contemporary Luke Cage custom as well as long as you're not afraid to dabble with some paints to match the head to the body.

But yeah...I never thought I'd need two Rage figures now. I've never even read a comic featuring the guy...lol.

I get what Hasbro was going for, trying to give us a classic Crossbones that was very reminiscent of his classic appearance, but it also shows that if they just would have figured it a bit better, they could have really given us something special that would have pleased everyone (non Hyperion body haters aside...)

I've enjoyed kitbashing this guy, but I'm starting to hate myself for doing it, as I have like 6 figures that I suddenly need a spare of in order to complete said kitbashes for Crossbones and other figures from the last few waves.

The Rage vest on Crossbones is nice, but I prefer the Nuke vest more. The tactical look suits Crossbones better, IMO.

^This.

While not having the most compelling of storylines, there were some character beats that just worked for me with this particular grouping. Trying to go back and round-up the crew. Of the released figures, I'm just waiting on another Deadpool and Ghost Rider to ship. Still not exactly sure what I'm going to do with Agent Venom, as he's the only figure release that doesn't match design-wise with the story's red motif.

A lot of people seem to be really enjoying the Mach-1 figure, but I just wasn't feeling it. It's those giant, goofy looking, open hands that throw off the look of the entire figure for me, so I began digging around in my bin for a replacement.

Thank you to Nova for being the lucky donator! Took a little bit of care getting them off, and a tiny bit of modding to get the fit just right (as they use the old "cone" adapter system,) but now my Mach-1 has the perfect set of fist hands (waiting for the easy jokes) and this guy is looking alright with me. As a bonus, Mach-1's old open hands work with Nova as well, so if you don't mind him having an open handed look, you'll barely be able to tell the difference.

The new Mar-Vell also has fists that work, but they appear a bit oversized for my tastes. Black Bolt also has the correct shade and size, though though might want to drybrush a tiny bit of metallics on it for a perfect match.

Also, if you have any of the Transformers Earthrise/WFC Target Master figures, many of the blast effects can actually be fitted onto his blaster gauntlet (though they do fall out rather easily...some sticky tack or an art gum eraser can easily fix that. White Rabbit's machine gun umbrella effect works too, and I've also seen people on IG using effects from the Overwatch figures as well, so those are worth the time experimenting with.

A simple red art pen (like from Prismacolor or a Gundam pen...or any other similar brand that's a little brighter than a sharpie...) would most likely do the trick in all honesty. As long as you use even penstrokes and take your time, it shouldn't be too difficult. Just stay inside the lines and remember that 9 times out of ten, unless you are using a sharpie, that ink will come off with a simple cotton swap doused in alcohol.

Agent Venom wouldn’t be a bad place to start. Red paint usually covers pretty well and there’s minimal work that would need to be done to change the figure. Plus, if you get a little sloppy with the red paint, you can always go over your errors with black paint.

If you, or anyone really, wants to try painting a figure, try using some of Playmates TMNT figures from the recent CGI movies. There’s plenty of detail, minimal paint, and you won’t feel like you've ruined a good/valuable figure if you mess up or aren’t happy with the result.

I love those pens, the only issue I've had is that you usually have to do 4+ coats to get a good red
