Since I got the Hela & Skurge set, my original MCU Hela is redundant. While Looking at the masked head, I realized it could be modified into Gotham's Firefly. The textured bodysuit works too. The downside is that she'd be too big. (Firefly ought to be as tall as Selina Kyle, who's as tall as Jessica Jones) I'd also have to do lots of sanding on her torso & legs.
Zorii Bliss has the perfect body, but she's too tiny for the Hela head. Jaina Solo has another great body. Jaina's own head may be as good a base as Hela's, but she seems to still be too short compared to Selina. Admiral Holdo is the right size to Selina. I don't know if Hela's head would fit on her body. I'd have to do more sculpting on her smooth torso & legs. So which of the above options would you choose for customizing Firefly?

I pre-ordered the whole wave from Target because I really want Sugar Man and Nate. I will have Wolverine, Jean, Sunspot, Wild Child, and Beast to get rid of. If anyone needs just those, I would be willing to sell them for a reasonable price once I get them.

Maybe DST Spider-Gwen would work for Firefly since she's the right size?

I went to a Target farther out today and look who I found:
![]() I love the weapons she comes with the accessories. The paint job is quite stellar. In fact, they had four of her today and the paint job on all of them looked great. I love the face sculpt and the details so much so that I wanted to put it on the biker BW, but sadly, the hair still makes the neck disk lean backwards, so it isn't the head of the biker Widow that is the problem, it's the neck. I don't even think there is a way to tighten neck, so it means I need to somehow acquire a new biker BW. That blows. It's hard to say because on one hand, I'm glad I didn't get into Marvel Legends until the Pizza Spidey came out because it seems like the older ones were less than stellar. On the other hand, it makes the waiting game for redos hard. Of course, I'm quite certain Hasbro will end up revisiting Stryfe at some point be it as part of a box set or even a new mold that utilizes the Colossus body.

I think Colossus would be too big for Stryfe, Mister Sinister would be a better fit.

by good coincidence Stryfe was the only one I planned to get so I preordred and got him way before the rest. I think once I got Storm I figured I'm halfway there I might as well get the rest. Though I think it took a good 2-3 years after release.
And ugh. Amazon still showing my preorder for Dark Beast to arrive on Wednesday but no updates or shipping or delays. I know a delay is probably going to happen but at the same time i'm like...just ship it!!!! |

picked up Loki for cheap. ($10) He won't take the place of the previous Hasbro version on my shelf, but after playing around with some minor changes i'm actually starting to dig him a bit

Still no movement on my Amazon order for Dark Beast and it is saying it's supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Amazon shipping on "non-essential" items is slower than usual due to the COVID-19 shenanigans. There's a disclaimer right on the front page of the site.
Of course, toys SHOULD be considered essential, but I guess food is important too. |

oh of course, I understand that completely and agree completely. My point being that if the order is not going to arrive tomorrow- which I do not expect it to - and the system doesn't even have the item in inventory, why would they wait until the day before to update the order. Or maybe the same day it's supposedly to be delivered, since it's still sitting pretty like it's going to happen.

I had a similar experience with my Black Widow wave...they weren't showed as having been sent despite a tracking number being provided, and then lone behold, after a day or two with no movement or confirmation, they were sitting on my doorstep. It's possible someone may have missed a scan somewhere at one of the distribution centers.
Hopefully it comes in soon with no issues.

Just a couple of quick fixes and mods to keep myself busy...
I was never able to find the energy shield version of the Agent Steve Rogers figure when it originally hit stores, and the figure drives a pretty hefty price on the secondary market at times. So imagine my delight when I saw the shield accessory (*GASP*--with a broken clip!!!) by itself in an Ebay auction for about ten bucks shipped. MINE SUCKA! ![]() Took me less than 5 minutes to fix too (adding the fabric strap to Steve's regular shield took a bit longer.) One person's garbage truly is another person's gold. Speaking of shield fixes, added a strap to the shield on the Abomination wave Gamerverse Cap, which didn't really fit all that well on the figure thanks to that wretched clip system Hasbro uses. Not only can Cap wear it properly now, but the clip can easily slip back into place thanks to the softer, more rubbery plastic the brace uses, and can still fit onto Cap's back with the elastic strap still attached. ![]() I can't wait to get this Cap lined up with some Classified Joes. And finally, I had mentioned previously that I didn't care much for the BW headsculpt that many were using for their Colleen Wing customs, and found one I feel works better in the Burnside Spider-Woman. Took a bit of grinding down to get a perfect fit, but I love how it came out. ![]() I played around with a couple of different options in trying to replicate Colleen's sneakers, but unfortunately, I couldn't find one that really worked. The shoes from the MCU figure don't fit on the Widow body (and are a completely different white) and the issue is that most legends characters that have the shoe/boot lace molds tend to be smaller figures on teen bodies. Ideally, I'd love to use the croc/sneaker styled shoes that come with the new Sue Storm, but even then getting them painted to match this rather shiny pearlescent plastic that they used for Widow's catsuit is gonna be a ridiculous challenge to color match, so I'm probably just gonna stick with this as is until Hasbro gives us a proper Daughter of the Dragon... |
