See, all the BAFs suggested here would be great, but are any of them characters who would really cause people to complain if Abyss showed up as the BAF in a regular wave before them? Holocaust's a weird case, because he's from the Age of Apocalypse, but has been a major antagonist in 616 too, so he could definitely go in a standard wave. Honestly, Blob, Holocaust, and Mojo seem like the big ones. Hasbro hasn't done a Mojo yet, and their early Blob and Holocaust could use redos.

If next year got a bonus Age of Apocalypse wave in addition to the standard May wave, like last year's X-Force wave, I'd be stoked, but a Deadpool wave just isn't an X-Men wave, even if it has Maverick and a few X-Force characters in it. Oh, right, and I guess there are some movie figures this year, but those will be the first X-Men Legends I skip. Just not my thing. I'm actually dreading the inevitable upcoming MCU infusion into X-Men Legends.

As with regards to X-Men BAFs, as much as I'm whining about wanting more 616, what big characters are even left for people to get upset about not getting in lieu of some of the bigger Age of Apocalypse characters? Nimrod and Strong Guy were the only ones I ever heard requested and we're already getting both this year. Rockslide, Gentle, etc. don't seem like they have a ton of fans. The Morlocks, Marauders, and Acolytes all had some big characters, but nobody I think anyone would call essential. Honestly, the vast majority of the major X-Men and their major villains already have recent figures of at least one look. New stabs at Blob, Mojo, and the Brood would be great, and Armor could be cool, but it doesn't seem like there's a ton of "essential" stuff left in the over-sized character department.

I hope this is true! I collected the AOA books when they first came out but not really a fan of an entire wave based off of them. I am only grabbing Jean to pass off as Rachel for my Excalibur team and Dark Beast just because I think he looks cool and putting him on my bad guy shelf. I want another X-Men wave this year even if its retro. I am not buying the movie stuff.

That's a good point, probably not. the only way that I could see that being an issue is if Hasbro starts in on the New X-Men (the younger kids, not the Morrison stuff), then I think there would be a validity to not having Rockslide or Armor.

But getting Abyss in any ways would be awesome. No complaints here. I said Emplate was my #1 wanted BAF but that wasn't taking Abyss into account. He is my #1 AOA want anyways now that we have Dark Beast and Morph, absolutely loved his design and his characterization. And he probably could be done to be a standard figure, but I'd love to have a BAF with some regular arms and then the warpy wrapping arms he had. Expandable coiled body options. Okay, I don't want a BAF Abyss I want a deluxe figure Abyss but that's not going to happen. Anywhooooo...your point is valid.

Winter Soldier arrived today and Crimson Dynamo is now complete. Had to boil his right arm to get his elbow moving. Bucky looks amazing. Dynamo is a cool figure. Would have preferred the original armor but colors look good.

I am actually pretty surprised how well the Black Widow wave is selling where I live... especially with no movie to hype anyone up. Maybe people here are just desperate to buy something... anything. The only figs I see pegwarming a lot is Taskmaster and BW's sister. I think I would only buy Winter Soldier if I ever saw him... seen remnants of that wave 5 times now and have never seen either WS or Crossbones.
