Finally had some time to work on my Fox Animated Venom head cast. I opted not to put the tongue on it, and I'm super pleased with how it came out...

Man...I hope Hasbro gives us an official release with the animated look on the vintage card. Would be even better if they stick Venom on that Omega Red body mold this time around.

Best of the X-Men wave.... Sounds like a bunch of repaints and alt costumes for characters we already have

Or just straight up rereleases and maybe a repaint or two with minor tweaks, with one exception.
What I'm thinking it may be:

Jim Lee Rogue
Cannonball (with legs, making it the only upgrade)
Jim Lee Cyclops
Stryfe
Jim Lee Storm, silver costume this time!
Wolverine of some version
Magneto in white version of standard costume, which is a repaint

if it's just six they'd likely take out Cannonball just to mess with us.

Magneto in his purple costume with the big white M on the chest would be cool too!

It's 7 and a BaF as far as Marvelous News has reported. I don't know about Jim Lee Rogue, with the Legacy Rogue coming out in a two pack soon they might not want to have a single figure option for fear the 2 pack peg warms. They did mention that it's possible it'll be reissues that are only available overseas like that Avengers wave a couple years ago

Maybe the three pack Jean Grey instead? Reaction would be interesting to say the least LOL. BAF I can't even imagine, unless it were to be a new BAF or a reissue/retool of an old one like Blob.

Maybe if they did something to make her drastically different, I don't want to think of uproar. Maybe Kitty in her blue costume, Banshee, Longshot, Rachel, and then a storm, cyke and wolverine, or maybe a mass market Mystique with new accessories and avalanche and pyro. The baf really could be anything

My guess is it is an overseas reissue wave. I don't think Cannonball qualifies as "best of".

I'll take a stab at it.
BaF Apocalypse
Cyclops
Jean
Wolverine
Rogue
Gambit
Storm
Magneto

Very cool! That looks awesome!

As for this best of X wave, I'd be curious to see it.

My hope for best of x would be:
A version of the Mu punker rogue in legends form
Revanche/armored p-sylocke
Longshot
Blue outfit Shadowcat
Blue and yellow banshee
Cyber
Team x gold n black outfit wolverine
BAF - cameron hodge in his big ass armor or maybe a Phalanx!

Also just because itd be cool a deluxe companion pack:
Lockjaw
Lovkheed
Peter Porker spiderham ( fully articulated )
THROG
X-babies.

As someone who wants most of those figures, that is a wish list and not a best of.
Cameron Hodge is a figure I want, but I have highly doubt Hasbro will go that far.

Thanks Spyne...I've never struggled painting a Venom head quite like I did with this one (modelmaster white paints are AWFUL) but i was really happy how this one came out!

As for the "Best Of X-Men" wave, being that this is most likely a re-release available only in Europe, it's gonna be stuff that we've seen before, with maybe an older figure re-released that folks might have missed on the first time around (like they did with Avengers Loki a few years back.) It's probably gonna be something like...

1. Tiger Stripe Wolvie
2. Cyclops (Warlock wave)
3. Rogue
4. 80th Colussus
5. Amazon Magneto
6. Storm
7. Nightcrawler

With the baf being a re-release of either Juggernaut or Apocalypse.

In other words...nothing to lose your mind over...unless you missed out on some of those older, harder to find figures.

for the next maybe/possible wave of Age of Apocalypse X-Men if Hasbro deciedes to do it, characters they should make

Abyss
Havok
Cyclops
Sabretooth. Might as well make him since they just made and released Wild Child
Holocaust as build a figure

I hope that any AoA Sabretooth that may be released comes with an alternate head for Blink, featuring her iconic AoA-style hair and a more Maduriera-styled face

With the Best Of X-Men wave, I'm sure we'll see some sort of Cyclops - 70s suit re-release, X-Factor suit with the white repainted yellow, or 90s Jim Lee re-release. I just want 70s Cyclops and 90s Cyclops re-released since I missed them the first time around and they need new head sculpts with an optic blast accessory. I'm still shocked only the X-Factor Cyclops got an optic blast and the others did not. Any Cyclops figure should always have an optic blast. A re-release of Jubilee with her fireworks accessories finally included would be cool too. I'd also love a Gambit with a new headsculpt. The "wavy hair" hairstyle made people pass on him the first time. And the Jim Lee Rogue is in desperate need of a re-release for those who missed out on buying that figure.

For Age of Apocalypse, I'm hopeful we'll get a second wave with characters like Rogue, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Sinister, Sabretooth, Gambit and Magneto. And I'm probably the only one who still wants Marvel Legends X-Men 20th Anniversary figures for 'X1' versions of Toad, Sabretooth and Train Station Cyclops, 'X2' versions of Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Lady Deathstrike, 'X3' versions of Beast, Iceman, Shadowcat and Colossus, 'Days of Future Past' Quicksilver and 'Apocalypse' Psylocke.

I'm curious as to what Hasbro has planned to show us in regards to future releases. First we got a tease/name-drop that Shocker might be coming and now we've got this Best Of X-Men. All we need now are more retro Spider-Man figures (**cough cough** classic Sandman, Lizard and Rhino **cough cough**), another vintage Uncanny X-Men wave, figures of the blue-and-white Negative Zone suits/John Byrne era Fantastic Four that are not a store exclusive, and more F.F., Hulk and Iron Man waves and we'll be all set.

I hope you all are having a great weekend and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Stay safe, everyone.

Oh jeez. Today I came across 5 of the 7 Age of Apocalypse dudes at Target and my wife is all, "Aren't you going to get them" I say to her, "No, I don't have room for them right now." And her response is, "Are you sure you don't want to grab them now while you see them? You might regret it later." I'm all thinking, "God dammit woman, don't, just don't. I mean, they are cool, but no, I have to stay strong." lol

I remained strong, but now as I type this I kind of wish I had picked them up.

Buy them, you must. Yes.

Look how much Caliban wave Beast is now. Im still a little mad I didnt buy blue Beast last year when I had the chance.

Even Dark Beast got snatched up right away by someone else when I went over to look at the movies and vidoegames for 10-15 frikkin minutes.

yeah Dark Beast has the other arms of Sugar Man but if Im really that desperate to get Dark Beast I could make another trip to the Gamestop shop or go to some other Walmart store to look around

Look up DStar01 on YouTube and shoot him a request to review it. He frequently does reviews of Figuarts and Mafex KO figures, and is usually open to requests. His reviews are seriously entertaining as well, because you never know what kind of tomfoolery is gonna occur as he is reviewing some of these figures. Some will literally dissolve in his hands in seconds while others actually end up being almost as good, if not better than the originals.

I was browsing the Cooltoyreiew website's archive section along with amazon.

Actually Toybiz did make Age of Apocalypse Cyclops with the Shadow King in a jar extra accessory. Too bad the Cyclops figure is the old Toybiz 3 inch/4 inch figure with less articulation but it has some nice accessories
