350 bucks for a largely hollow piece of painted, articulated plastic? To put it in perspective...I have 1/4 scale figures from Neca with sculpting and paints that SHIT all over that thing in terms of detail for about 130 bucks. At that price, it costs more than any of the Hot Toys I own.

150 dollars...okay. 200 dollars even...sure. but 350? That's bonkers. Go suck on a turd Hasbro. For that price...it better be able to watch my kids on a Saturday night.

That Bastion will go for $150 minimum on the secondary market I bet. I’m hopefully they announce a rerelease after a year, but you never know with Hasbro. He might be kept as a “Thank you” to those who support the HasLab project.

Limit 5 @ $350 is like $1750. Who has that just hanging around for Haslab? Who ever you are, adopt me?

Maybe that's an unlockable feature. Sorry, I know, it's a lot of money. I think I was thinking in my head the references of Jabba's Sailbarge and the Unicron price points...closer to $500-$600

They could have just, y'know, not included any 6" figure. Have the Bastion/Prime Sentinel be a separate Pulse army-builder release. Mo' money, mo' money, because I sure as hell am not gonna be a backer just for Bastion.

Give me a single-pack release, and I'll buy plenty.

Everyone talking about this being a poor time to drop the Sentinel, you gotta remember that there's a LOT more Marvel Legends collectors out there than just the regulars on this board. Hell, you go on 4chan, Instagram or Reddit and you'll see those collectors that have an entire wall LINED with the Toybiz Sentinel BAF, I've met several hardcore adult collectors in person that hardly even touch the internet! The consumers are there, even if we don't see them all!

Edit: and I think we all know a certain "king of toy collecting" that's been absent from the forums for a while that'll certainly buy several of these

On the one hand, I like it, looks cool and I'm sure I can make the money back.

On the other hand, beyond the money, I hardly have space to display my current collection, And I could not care less about Bastion.

I will see how much it is in Europe, and then decide...

For House of X figures, I'd like Moira, Destiny and Sharima Kapandar. Jill a figure could be that space Master Mold.

Good points. I feel like buy a lot but some pictures I see put me to shame and anxiety at the same time. As for The King...yeah where has he gone off too, haven't seen him on here in a looooooong time.

At 7000 backers, each sentinel includes a lock of Dwight's unwashed hair.

BAF: no clue actually...it won't be the Nimrod and it won't be another Apocalypse, not this soon.
I feel reasonably certain they’ll do Marvel Girl, because that figure would appeal to collectors who aren’t necessarily interested in modern looks for these characters. I’m also hoping for Moira MacTaggert & Captain Britain.

Have they said it's hollow plastic though? I mean I assume the torso is to accommodate the lights, but for the height I expect this to be a lotta plastic!

I think one massive Sentinel would look perfect looming behind the 3 basics... Two might work...

Yeah, my immediate thought on seeing the price was looking at the recent NECA 1/4 scale Big Chap which is only a few inches shorter than this but way more impressively detailed and less than half of the price. On that note it'd be kind of neat to see NECA ever tackle somebody like Galactus if they can.

I’ll keep one sealed and one to open. One larger Sentinel for me should be fine leading my 3 ML Sentinels and 4 ML BAF Sentinels. I want some army builder 6” Konami X-Men Sentinels.

I can't remember the first day of the Barge or Unicron to say if it's good news, but they're already over a thousand backers!

I'm pissed that I can't get a Bastion without paying however much for a two-foot-tall hunk of plastic that I don't want in the least. Especially since he's coming with a Prime Sentinel head, which means he's meant to army-build. I'm pissed that a character that I've wanted for some time is only available with this monstrosity that I literally do not have room for, and do not want to justify the cost of, especially not to get a couple of Prime Sentinels to go with him.

This anger will simmer down, of course, and I'll just be mildly annoyed that I'll have to buy them on the aftermarket if I'm lucky, for some wildly ridiculous price. I really hope Hasbro releases Bastion as a Pulse armybuilder down the line, because even with zero accessories, I'd pay $15 a pop for at least three.
.
On the plus side- you'll probably be able to get a Bastion head for not too bad a price since extras of those will be floating around- pop it on a Machine Man body and you've got a near perfect version.

That'd be fantastic. I'd also love to see a retool of the Kree Sentry figure as an "X-Men: Children of the Atom"-style Sentinel.

Wow, this is 0 for 2 on Hasbro's part. There's no way I can afford such a huge Sentinel at such a big price. Heck, most of the time I'm so perpetually broke I can barely afford a $20 Marvel Legend figure or two. I am not much of a Bastion fan, but I do legitimately feel sorry for everyone that wanted one only to have today's news happen. Sure, we got the House of X/Powers of X reveal (and I'm betting Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops and some sort of Wolverine all make the cut), but that was actually cooler than the Sentinel reveal. Heck, I'm actually more excited for the X-Men movie figure news next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they surprise us with more figures like Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Deathstrike, Iceman, Rogue, and/or Magneto in his original trilogy suit.
