Agreed. That's my preferred uniform for Forge and Banshee.

I'm not debating the reason he got bigger. Yeah, it was artistic license, and the fact that he's a mutant gave them a convenient (dare I say, lazy) way of explaining it, but it was nevertheless explained, and he is officially 8' tall. As for the pictures you posted, where Blob is towering over the Vision (whose height I don't know, but you mentioned it in your previous post, and it was well over 6'), and standing a head or more taller than the 6'2" Avalanche and 5'10" Pyro, no, he doesn't appear to be 5'10". Is he 8' in those pictures? Probably not, but he's easily 7', which--if anything--supports the idea that he has continued to grow taller as a side effect of his mutation.
I'd have no problem if he's scaled about as tall as 80th anniversary Thor or Colossus, but Hulk sized, no way. |

Why is Magneto a 7 footer? Loved that pilot episode as it was animated by the same people who did GI Joe & Cyclops was voiced by actor that did Duke's voice but They screwed up on Mag's hgt in the episode.

Pryde of the X-Men is where it’s at! Still have my VHS. I used to watch that so many times.

Everyone is so focused on that Blob but no one noticed what looks like a triad of classic DOFP Omega Sentinels on the very top shelf.

I think those are just multiples of the Amazon exclusive Sentinel.

Dammit! I'm not rich like all the backers getting 1,2,3,4,5 or more of the Haslab Sentinel, so my dream is that for those of us ML fans who are not as financially set as others, to do 16' deluxe scaled classic John Byrne DOFP comic based Sentinel via either Amazon/EE & slap a more affordable $ 59.99 tag on em. Give em 22 POA, alternate hands, blast FX & capture coils & we're set! And plz don't anyone come out with that lame/tired excuse of "large figures don't sell". The Haslab Sentinel at $350 a pop blew that excuse card outta the water. Making a 12' line of normal sized characters was a dumb idea & that was the reason it fizzled. The 15yr old TB BAF Sentinel goes for an avg of $200 plus on the after market. I see people bidding up to $250-$275 on it! Even the SDCC inferior DOFP Sentinel goes for $100+ loose on ebay. The Sentinel is pretty much the #1 army builder for X fans to get. I bet some will be army building Nimrod as well. |

To be fair, the Sentinels in DoFP changed their size between panels just as much as every other issue to feature them. In one scene Wolverine is up to their thighs, in another he is smaller then their heads.
I know technically the Haslab Sentinel is supposed to be from the current issues, but it looks like a classic Sentinel just with more detail. That's why I want him.

On YouTube, Toy Shiz has a "Let's Talk Toy's (and X-Men!) with the Hasbro Marvel Legends Team" half-hour video uploaded. About 15 minutes into the video, I think, the Marvel Legends team said that they do eventually want to hit all of the old animated series toylines, such as Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. They also said at the 24:42 mark that there will be more retro, X-Men and Spider-Man waves in the works, as well as "more Iron Man". There might be more, but those are the ones I remember best that stood out. I'm just curious to see what else Hasbro will reveal this upcoming week.

So do you think Hasbro is going to move away from BAF waves and stick to the vintage cards for Spider-Man for the time being?
I guess maybe it will be the same way with a regular X-Men cast since it seems like they are now focusing on specifics like Deadpool, Age of Apocalypse, and that House of X (at least, I think that is the title) series.

@Dr Kain - I don't know. If they did stick with the vintage Spider-Man for the time being, I wouldn't be opposed to it. I love that new retro Spider-Man wave. It's easily my favorite Spider-Man toyline from the past few years. They could always Fan Channel or Deluxe bigger characters that were previously Build-A-Figures, such as Sandman, Lizard and Rhino. I do hope they make more retro The Uncanny X-Men figures as well. I was disappointed with their character selection and by how certain figures, Iceman and Cyclops especially, turned out.
@jmurray90720 - I like your X-Men lists, but I'd prefer to have the new Jim Lee head with its own optic blast included for a new Jim Lee Cyclops re-release. Cyclops was way too hard to find when the Warlock Build-A-Figure wave first came out and I'm sure they'll re-release him at some point. After all, as we've seen in recent years, the Jim Lee versions of X-Men characters still sell well and past figures are still resold at ridiculously high prices on sites like Amazon and Ebay. |

The SDCC figures are being revealed next week.
They also did some planning and illustration work on Galactus as the Haslab figure before going with the Sentinel instead. They discussed 80s Shadowcat and Wolverine's skeleton's as the pack-in. Last edited by hasbroherofan; 07-19-2020 at 11:56 AM.. |

I find intriguing their mention of “smaller” Haslab projects. My head jumped to Devil Dinosaur, but what are some other figures people would like to see Haslab do? Talk of a “furry” body excites me (phrasing). Namely, because Hepzibah was mentioned by name, showing that the Starjammers are on their radar! I would love figures of that team. Little disappointed to hear that Wolfsbane & Feral aren’t currently in development. Not thrilled at their talk of wanting to do figures for “X-Tinction Agenda.” Mostly because... what the hell figures could they do based off that? I heard Dwight mention a Haslab Cameron Hodge, but I really don’t see the interest being there. “New X-Men” isn’t really my cup of tea either. I’d prefer to see more 70s-80s X-Men, which doesn’t seem like this team’s priority, since they’re more tied to the 90s-00s stuff. What I’m hearing is that the figure choices are very much influenced by their personal taste, which I don’t know about always making sense for viable retail releases. For example, Ryan talked about the Gamerverse Spideys, which I haven’t seen selling very well. Same sorta goes for the AOA wave, since I do think a lot of people passed on that (I haven’t seen it move at all in my area, but I will grant that tales of peg-warmers are apocryphal and really arbitrary). I really appreciate the extent to which the ML team communicates with the fans. If they’re reading this (as they did reiterate that they read the boards), I would like to thank them for the wonderful job they’re doing, as well as for doing their best to please the finnicky bunch that is toy collectors. I would also like to extend an invitation to MAKE BANSHEE ALREADY! ... please. Last edited by Ultra Seven; 07-19-2020 at 01:13 PM.. |

Regarding furry female characters like Tigra and Wolfsbane, Hasbro can always reuse the arms and legs of Black Cat from the Kingpin wave.

Those are separate floating pieces, and as a customizer who has used them, they are absolutely a stop gap measure. I would much rather see and work with officially released sculpted parts for those characters, the biggest point of contention for Wolfsbane, Feral and Tigra are suitable feet, the monster/symbiote feet work in a pinch but realistically they're far too big for most of the female figures. Sadly from the sounds of it we're a ways off from seeing official releases for X-Factor Wolfsbane and Feral, and even Tigra
