New Marvel Legends/6" Appreciation Thread

Was checking out images of the Hellfire set...I have a question...why the Magneto helmet? I know he became a member but it appears the helmet is for Pierce. What's that story?

I think, like the Wolverine cowl, it's just meant as a fun prop for, like, one of them to hold triumphantly.

they've disagreed and fought on occasion but nothing i could find about the helmet- unless it's a nod to the First Class movie where Shaw takes it and uses it to prevent Xavier from getting in his head

I feel like the back of my brain is trying to remind me of a storyline where there IS a connection with his helment, but I'm fuzzy on it.

Magneto and Storm shared the White King seat while he was mentoring the New Mutants, that could be what you're remembering

That I remember...john Byrne drew the issue where Shaw was ousted. I just don't remember why "Pierce" would have his helmet. It probably is just a prop for display.

It was actually Shaw's first in FC- given to him by the Russians. Magneto takes it after killing him...

He could have used a few more paint apps to really bring out his armor- but I'm still digging Maverick. Was a favorite from the toybiz days-

My 2 sets of the Strong Guy wave from Dorkside should be coming in on Friday. I’ll see if I can make my Wolfsbane and take a team pic. I wish I bought more of Multiple Man. I only have 3 and he sells for a ridiculous price now.

Wait...did Toy Biz do a Maverick figure? The Hasbro one pictured Rocks!! I love the details!

That head for Phoenix is beautiful...i used it for my classic Black Widow though. I hope they re-release Dark Phoenix with all three heads in a classics wave

I do the same sometimes. Then I remember that ToyBiz 90's line pretty much did everything X-related except, oddly enough, Shadowcat, Boom-Boom and Siryn. o_O

No it is not! She needs to speak to the AOA Manager - that would be Apocalypse of course.

Everything that comes AOA should come as closely to the comic look as resculpting budget allows.

Yeah I had to keep rotating Phoenix’s hand just so that it could sit right on her hand.

popped down to gamestop and grabbed a Havok/Polaris 2pk... uhg... at least it was on sale and I can potentially turn Havok into Skullfire
