Agreed on all counts, Ariel, but especially so with regard to routine cancer screening. I'd already considered scheduling a colonoscopy early as, age-wise, I'm not due for one yet. However, based on this sad news and conversations here with a friend, I'll be calling next week. Even in death, Chadwick is serving as an allegorical reference. All things considered, were age based recommendations lowered, Chadwick might still be with us.
On another note, one more germane to the use of this thread: So, any of those SDCC Hellfire packs still floating around on your side of the pond? I'm starting to get a bit antsy waiting for Pulse to provide options. Also, shout-out to usernamedustin for providing that item number...none have surfaced in this part of the Northeast, but I now have the tools I need to nab Storm & Thunderbird. You do know you don't have to answer a question that is asked, right? Hell, you didn't have to respond at all.
Instead, you have now spent two posts over the question because the entitled stick up your ass couldn't resist being a dick when you could have just answered the question and received a "Thank you" as a response, but because the internet lets you be a dick, you decided to be a dick. For someone who doesn't care about questions being asked, you sure seem intent to argue such a trivial matter. you sure seem intent to care about questions being asked, but because the internet lets you, your ass couldn't resist being a dick when you could have just answered the question VIA AN EASY GOOGLE SEARCH. A simple search would have taken much less time and effort on your part. Also, google isn't a dick to you when you ask stupid questions. It just gives you answers without judgement. Around here we judge you on your laziness and self-absorbtion. |

On the page for each store (in this example, Target being pertinent), there’s an option to “Search Target” beside the “Item Look-up” function. Using the search function, you can look up a product by name, and it will render results for it.

I have been and still am assuming that Pulse is waiting for all those free memberships to expire. They are using the non-SDCC exclusives as bait to hook us for that $50 Premium membership fee. I think mine expires at the end of this month, so I am expecting pre-orders to go up in early September. |

Ultra gets it...
If you cannot respond with even a modicum of empathy (something, sadly, in very short supply these days), then just don't respond at all... Also, and I've mentioned it before, but mobbing up on people is fucked up and not what a 'community' should be doing...and I say this even when it concerns individuals with whom I don't necessarily ride. @usernamedustin Yeah, dude, I'm getting pretty jumpy over here. Sebastian, Selene and the rest of the gang have been on my wishlist for a very long time. I think you're right about Hasbro gaming fans and dangling membership perks with a subscription that could ostensibly provide bupkis. That said, and after ordering my Sentinels, my fool ass paid the extra $50 without even a second thought... It's a sickness...but the medication (Legends figs) tastes oh so very sweet. Action figures sate my hoarding addition much like methadone provides only a slight spin on heroin... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 08-30-2020 at 07:36 AM.. |

This is what comes up when I typed it into the search: ![]() Nothing that tells you how to look it up. It's just links to popfindr, a person asking if it is accurate and other crap. Secondly, as I said, my already saved popfindr links is set up for DCPI, not an item number. I click on the bookmarked page and it pops up with the DCPI from the Spider-Man vintage wave, zip code, and miles. Thus, I don't know what I need to do to look something up by item number. Third, why ask questions at all in general when you can just get a generic answer on Google? The answer is to hear from people with actual experience. Why is this so hard to grasp? If you're doing research for an article for say Genghis Khan, are you going to just do a Google search on him for your article or are you going to speak to a college professor or museum employee that is an expert on the great general? Actual experience from someone real is always going to trump generic text anyone could have typed up. Quote:
![]() I only have the DCPI option, not a regular option. Thanks for the assist. Quote:

Popfindr is located at PopFindr. They have a link to a discord board on the top of the homepage that you can ask questions on specifically about popfindr. Third: Those people are busy. They aren't going to speak to everyone that is interested in their area of expertise. Those people write books and papers. You can look up the people who are experts in a particular subject and then you can find out what they have written about that subject. That way, you aren't reading "generic text", you are reading specific texts written by experts. Fourth: It is super easy to look up stuff by item number on popfindr. Did you even try or did you just come here to get someone to hold your hand? |

No problem! You’ve got the page for the item look-up bookmarked. Click on the site banner, it’ll take you to the homepage. From there, go to the “Target Inventory Checker,” and scroll down, you should be able to find that from there.

I typically cherry-pick Legends and Star Wars, so the $50 has been worth it to me. Other shops have a minimum $ amount I seldom hit in a single transaction before they offer free shipping. With Pulse I've been able to nab anywhere from 1-3 items at a time with no extra shipping costs. Given how I shop, I'd have paid well over $50 in postage this year ordering from EE, BBTS, etc.
Regarding the Hellfire set, I do hope a Pulse "membership" means we get a heads-up email before the orders open up and not an hour or two after... The way I see it, I'm really expecting more than just run of the mill 'rewards'. Especially after ordering and paying for 5 Sentinels (mind you with a willingness to wait a year for delivery), having a pending pre-order for 2 Pyro/Rouge sets (which I may cancel given BBTS having made good delivering my order from them), and anteing up on an additional $50 upfront. This opinion of mine isn't from a place of entitlement. Rather, it's a fair expectation (IMO) as someone that has shown a considerable measure of good faith to Hasbro (and the Marvel Legends brand) for nearly twenty years. They can throw me a bone and give me early access, at least, to an SDCC set I'll likely buy two of... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 08-30-2020 at 03:07 PM.. |

I don't like the pinless style. Makes it harder to take apart, customize or repair. Hope that doesn’t become a standard.

While I'm ranting...this new barbell neck peg system needs to go away as well. If you're gonna half ass it Hasbro by not doing it properly, don't bother with it at all. The open gaps that pop up on the Vintage Spidey and DP2 Cable when posing are ridiculous... |

I can't get over how good the movie Venom figure looks, I really hope we see a comic Venom out of that mold as well.

@Blue Marvel
Man, I'd love to help with the Hellfireclub set. But I had to deal with a million complications. I am happy to help if it only bothers me, so as I said to Nash, if we get them on the uk earlier I will be there for yah. I want a second set also, so I'm on alert. And yeah...I was informed by my doctor in January (after giving me a clean bill of health) than when I reach the big 5-0 I need my contraband to be checked out every so often. But I tell you, as soon as my doctor allows me, I'm there spread ego and teeth clenching! LOL. We had a famous case here in the UK that changed the game for women (Jane Goody) and the age one should be checked. If something don't feel kosher, it's best to not panic and just go. My brother had a scared and my grandfather died of it, so I am there. Oh and women too. Don't forget Farrah Fawcett. Ok, I know this is no Marvel or Legends related, but a good message nonetheless. Btw, tried Dark Phoenix. Couldn't. Not even for free. Watch the first Thor again, to rinse my mouth. Much better. Plus it made me appreciate my Marvel select Destroyer, wish Diamond made more big guys like him, Mephisto and The Watcher. Stay safe you all, and be nice to each other. 'Night! @Ariel
LOL "...spread eagle, teeth clenching" actually had me laughing for real, despite the seriousness of it all. I'll spare the thread reading about the explicit details regarding grown-up travails and sum things up with I'm right there with you and I'm sorry to learn your grandfather passed in that manner. About the HFC set, no worries. I was just checking for the outside chance that some boxes might've 'fallen off a truck' in Hong Kong and found their way to some well resourced UK importers. Thanks for the offer should they show in the near future, but I don't want you going out of your way and I definitely don't want a 3rd party friend of yours troubling themselves. I'll get a set or two somehow, I always do. Be safe. |

I don't either, and Hasbro has been extra good about giving fans products that they actually want as of late. I'm hopeful we'll see new versions of Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 out of the new Retro Spider-Man mold as well.

That's exactly how I felt. I specifically told a friend "the only thing I liked about Dark Phoenix is that Dazzler shows up, in her classic look." It was so brief too, her entire screen time could be captured in a gif or two but hands down that's the only "pro" the movie will get from me.

First things first...
- Rest In Peace, Chadwick Boseman. I still can't believe we lost such an incredible talent. - If the Spider-Man rumors are true, I absolutely LOVE the reports of possible new figures for J. Jonah Jameson, Black Cat and Firestar with Ms. Lion! I hope we get a new classic Black Cat since I missed it the first time around. - I do hope that the retro Spider-Man mold will be used for more Spider-Man costumes, especially the classic black costume, the 90s Ben Reilly suit and classic Spider-Man 2099. - It is a bummer, but not surprising, to hear next year's Toy Fair has been postponed. I wonder what Hasbro will do in its place in terms of their reveals for figures from Marvel, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, etc. - I'm proud to say I have never watched 'Dark Phoenix'. When I saw Simon Kinberg was writing/directing and after seeing the abomination that was 'X-Men: The Last Straw'... er, 'The Last Stand', I had a gut feeling to stay away from it. I guess I was right. That said, I saw the clip of Dazzler on YouTube and it's a shame her big scene in an X-Men movie was in a bomb like 'Dark Phoenix'. |
