That's the team right before the Outback era. That roster was around through roughly #190 through the Mutant Massacre storyline. It's still a great Colossus costume that I would totally buy in figure form! I also really like that Magneto costume even thought I know it's one of his worst costumes.

I disagree. They also already have the sleeves made thanks to Jim Lee Storm. No reason why not to use them for Psylocke and Shadowcat.

Honestly if they don't cover any of Rogues outfits before AO era except her first appearance or any of the looks around the time of the Mutant Massacre, I'm okay with that. The distinctions are either very slight or in the case of some not all that long lived. And Psylocke's original X-men look was ugly, there, I said it LOL

AO -just abbreviating Australian Outback, as a descriptive of the team and era. Its unofficially a fairly well used term for it but not everyone does.
I think Psylockes sleeves were more ballooning than merely puffy like Shadowcats. I’m no fashion guru but I’m not sure it would make do. And ugh she had those sashes coming off her sleeves and something off the shoulder that looked more suited for She-Ra. I hope those who want a figure of that look get it one day but it’s one of my least favorite “costumes” ever. For any character much less my favorite character |

For any character much less my favorite character The armor Wolverine provided her gave her that appearance to match her inner fortitude. ![]() Then she went through the transformation and was a warrior all the way around. Personally Im a big fan of the original Betsy. I always thought she was just British Betsy with her features manipulated to look Asian by "The Body Shoppe" And her mind warped by the Hand. I know that was Claremonts intention(he told me personally) So the costumes were always story elements in some way. Im not reading X-Men anymore so in my mind it's all a convoluted mess. I know Betsy and Kwannon are separated now but that's all I know. Last edited by Starlord67; 10-21-2020 at 07:41 PM.. |

![]() So I went to my other Walmart today and they also had the Fox Wolverine figure out, like the other store they had eight out on the shelf. The difference though is that when I was looking through them I actually found one that didn't look like he'd totally vomited all over his jacket. Every figure at the other store and then 7/8 at this store had way too much of the weathering effect but on this one it's pretty mild, my lightbox photo is actually making it look stronger than it does in hand, so I gladly picked this one up as here it's tolerable enough and not an eyesore. I really like how well the calm kinda smirking head came out but then the yelling battle face is just okay, it's got elements of Hugh Jackman's face but to me the Amazon figure's angry teeth-gritting head came out better. As a toy overall I think the Amazon version is just a bit better but the jacket look is also really cool to me since it's how we were first introduced to the character on the big screen (after his shirtless cage fight) and its colors are also a nod to his comic costume so I'm happy to have both figures. ![]() I also got my Deadpool and NTW set in from Target today. NTW is a well made figure on her own and actually does sport more new sculpted parts than I'd anticipated, but then much as I had anticipated her paint is a bit sloppy in areas which is common when we see yellow painted over black. Her likeness came out great though and she's not really an accessory heavy character in the second movie so it's not like anything's missing, but I would've liked then for her power effect accessories to have included something for her torso. In the movies that's where her energy seems to first radiate from but then all the figure has are effect pieces for her arms, evidently all the accessory budget went to Wade. Deadpool is obviously the reason to get this pack. He's just a really well made figure in all departments. Articulation is great except that his neck is a little limited but still has good range, the sculpted details are excellent from head to toe, paint is overall nicely done, and he has a nice assortment of weapons and his unicorn for alone-time. The only thing off about this figure is the glued-in pistols that other people have already lamented about. He also fills a void since I already had Cable and Domino but now the gang's all here. ![]()

Hmmmm, good points, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro does reuse those Storm arms even if they're modified.

They could use them or X-Factor Polaris' upper arms for Shadowcat, they'd just have tool new forearms for her

I guess we’ll see when Hasbro makes that Excalibur boxset that I’m going to will into existence like Alpha Flight.

I was! I didn't even put in the Imperial Guard, Starjammers or Upstarts!
![]() Honestly while I'd like all of this, I get what you mean. BOEM and Excalibur definitely seem like the only likely two unless we get them in singles/BAF. Though we'll probably see a few figures from the rest of the "sets" eventually. |

I’m convinced the Starjammers are coming eventually. The team mentioned wanting to do them during some interviews over the summer, the parts for Corsair are already there from Pirate Deadpool (look at the base body and tell me that’s not what you see), Dwight mentioned Hepzibah as potential reuse of a X-Factor Wolfsbane sculpt, Ch’Od is criminally easy...

On another note, Ryan Ting posted a pic of the final production retro card Rogue and she's looking a lot better than the pulse Con reveal Last edited by Veronica Mars; 10-22-2020 at 11:05 AM.. |

It's not a big picture, I'm still reserving final judgement until I see her in person, she looks less scowling than the reveal
