The sandaled feet is also a nice touch. It helps give the figure a more casual feel for background scenes, a new unique piece to kitbash with, and gets away from the martial artist warrior in high heels trope that we see too frequently in all forms of media.

The little Faceless Pokémon Moogle thing she comes with though...eek...nightmare fuel...
The face printing tech Hasbro has is really impressive. Looking at the faces on the earlier movie figures from ROML and it's like night and day.

^ I wouldn't mind Hasbro taking another shot at Natalie Portman's face... the Black Series Geonosis outfit Padme has a pretty nice facesculpt, but it doesn't really look like Natalie Portman IMO.

If there was a Disney Plus wave 2 I wonder if it would be Ayo, Sharon Carter, Karli Morgenthau, Agatha Harkness, Evan Peters Quicksilver, Jimmy Woo, and Monica Rambeau.

To get me back on MCU or maybe now infinity saga stuff, i'd like to see the following:

1. A revist on Iron-man 1-3's: IM2: Mark 5 & 6 and War-machine hell gimme some hammer drones as maybe a Trooper figures. IM3: Silver Centurion Armour.

2. Avengers: Thor, Loki , my favorite suit out of the MCU for him, which could appear in the Disney + series. Wouldn't mind an SDCC 6-7 Pack of Avengers 1 figures with Loki.

3. Avengers Infinity War: Hulk Buster Mark 2.

Shit, if they're going to just make a wave of plain clothed people then they might as well make characters I would actually care about like Robbie, Aunt May, Yoriko, Senator Kelley, Flash Thompson, and Amanda Sefton.

First things first: THANK YOU, @Ultra Seven, for the Amazon link for the A.I. Iron Man. Your help is very much appreciated, buddy.

I am in agreement with Dr. Kain. I'd love a wave of plain clothes civilian characters. I could see Flash Thompson being re-used for Eddie Brock. Civilian figures of the X-Men would be cool too. I'd imagine a civilian X-Men wave would likely include Logan with a cowboy hat, Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Piotr "Peter" Rasputin, Professor Charles Xavier, Ororo Munroe and Bobby Drake with alternate ice effects. I really, REALLY want more Retro Spider-Man civilian characters. I'd imagine a Retro Spider-Man civilian wave would have an adult Peter Parker with a John Romita Sr. head sculpt and an alternate Ben Reilly head, first appearance clothes Mary Jane Watson, Joe "Robbie" Robertson with an alternate Randy Robertson head, Aunt May Parker with a tray of wheatcakes, Harry Osborn and Eugene "Flash" Thompson. Heck, they could even do an "Amazing Friends" Angelica Jones with an alternate M.J. head and I'd buy two! I'd also settle for "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" based civilian characters like Peter, Mary Jane, Felicia Hardy, J. Jonah Jameson, Dr. Curt Connors and Harry Osborn.

Also, is anyone else slightly surprised and disappointed that, while the Fantastic Four's 60th anniversary is getting hyped up, the 80th anniversary of Captain America is being ignored? I would've thought we would've gotten some more stuff in honor of Steve Rogers' 80th anniversary year. Is Cap being ignored because his figure was re-released for Marvel's 80th anniversary celebration two years prior? I'm really trying to make sense of this. This would've been a perfect time to make a new Captain America wave and include any of his heroes, villains, alternate identities and successors. First appearance Cap, Bucky, Captain America on a new body mold, classic Falcon, classic U.S. Agent, Diamondback, classic Baron Zemo, Baron Blood, white business suit Red Skull, American Dream, Isaiah Bradley, Bucky Cap, Falcon Cap, Commander Rogers -- there were/are plenty of characters for Hasbro to have selected from.

I hope that I'm wrong and Hasbro will surprise us with something for Cap's anniversary. However, at this point, I just don't think we'll see any Cap 80th anniversary Marvel Legends figures. What a shame.

According to the leaks, from the same listings that accurately leaked the first wave, the second Disney+ wave will mostly be "what if?" figures.

Yep, plus two Loki figures. I fully expect the BaF to be What If? Steve Rogers Iron Man from the Captain Carter episode.

Much of their release schedule each year is informed by the MCU, even when the releases themselves are 100% comic-based. Sam Wilson just became Captain America in the MCU, and I seriously doubt they want to distract from that milestone by celebrating Steve Rogers. Rogers Cap got his definitive figure fewer than two years ago for Marvel's 80th, so it seems perfectly reasonable to keep the focus on Sam this year.

I'm just 'okay' with Hasbro's Bill. It being too small, sporting the wrong outfit, and its glaring lack of fists make it a poor outing. I'm waiting for the classic outfit with the missing fists on the new Warpath body. Hopefully I won't be waiting long.

While it would be nice to get some civilians in the Legends line, I don't think it's really necessary or even practical to make a civilian version of every hero and his or her supporting cast. For some heroes like Spiderman and Daredevil, for example, their civilian identities of Peter Parker and Matt Murdock are important parts of their respective stories. The same could be said for certain supporting characters like Mary Jane Watson and Foggy Nelson. These would be great figures to make.

But for other heroes, their civilian lives are rarely (or poorly) developed and they will more often be shown chilling in their super hero duds with their masks off. Even if they are shown in regular clothes, it's very brief and for a specific purpose.

As for the supporting cast for a hero like Spiderman, at some point there has to be a cut off line for making the supporting characters. No only will they take up slots for more desired characters in future waves, it would also be an increasingly niche audience who would want them as Hasbro moved away from the core characters shown in the comics.

Got no problem with civilian characters in theory, but I don't think there's any chance they'd do a full civilian wave. With a few exceptions they tend to do most of them in a box set with a more superhero-y (or supervillain-y) looking character.

I agree on not wasting additional slots on civilian characters or alter-ego personas. One here and there is fine, but a wave is just not a good idea. Imagine the peg-warming.

I agree that the focus should be Sam right now since FATWS just ended. And the D+ wave with his Captain America figure is a couple of months away from releasing.

But there's still 7 months left in the year. A Steve Rogers Cap could be released later in the year without stepping on Sam's toes. Maybe re-release the 80th Cap in a lighter deco with a pouch belt?

Since not a single store in my area is restocking the Stilt-Man wave I decided to order the Hand ninja on Amazon even though they were up-charging him. This is the first time I've ever seen Amazon themselves charging more than retail for a Legends figure, made stranger by the fact that the rest of the wave was retail price when they had it. Still, I'm glad to at least have him in hand, it's a simple but enjoyable toy. Now that I have the full wave my Stilt-Man is also complete. I've always found Stilt-Man to be fairly goofy so there's an element of novelty to my enjoyment of the completed BAF. There's a bit of bitterness in me though that this was the first wave in a couple of years that I've completed and it's a BAF that I would've been fine without while there are other BAFs that I've more directly wanted but I couldn't bring myself to buy all of the normal figures to have them.

The focus SHOULD be on Sam right now. That said, the comic anniversary shouldn't be ignored either. There's room for both: the M.C.U. side and the comic book side. Other than Sub-Mariner, Captain America is one of Marvel's oldest super-heroes and an 80th anniversary focus should at least try to be included in Hasbro's plans. Those who don't want the M.C.U. Cap can turn to the comic anniversary version, and vice-versa. I do hope we get at least something for Cap later this year. I'd love a new body mold for Cap instead of a third outing for the Retro Cap, and we NEED a new head sculpt. The current head sculpt looks more constipated than angry to me. And I will repeat this until it happens: I NEED a scaly-chainmail Captain America with a smiling head based on John Byrne's art, an alternate head of Steve Rogers, and accessories of his triangular and round shields. Please make it happen, Hasbro!

I've seen plenty of A-list waves pegwarm without civilian characters. The character selection and adding alternate accessories would help make those "normal" figures sell, though. Like you could have the Lizard, but include the head, left hand and feet of Dr. Curt Connors to give it a two-in-one figure effect. Or you could have a two-pack of the civilian alter-ego (Dr. Bruce Banner, General "Thunderbolt" Ross, Betty Ross-Banner, Rick Jones) with a gamma-powered alter-ego (gray or green Hulk, Red Hulk, Harpy or Red She-Hulk, A-bomb). Or you could do a civilian figure with an A-list enemy, like in Spider-Man's case, you could release a two-pack of Aunt May Parker with Doctor Octopus or Joe "Robbie" Robertson with Tombstone.

Also, adding on based on a suggestion, the Hulk is in serious need of Marvel Legends love, including his civilian characters. The Gargoyle, Ringmaster, Tyrannus, Zzzax, orange-and-black suit Leader with the "Jiffy Pop" giant brain head sculpt, classic Abomination, the Rhino, Nightmare, the Absorbing Man -- take your pick. I hope that Ant-Man, the Hulk, Spider-Man and Thor get some Marvel Legends 60th anniversary figures. A Bruce Banner with first appearance Gray Hulk or a first-appearance Spider-Man with the blue back spider emblem with the Burglar would be very much appreciated and welcome to my Marvel Legends collection.

I respect that you are passionate about this. However, just think about it for just a moment. If relatively known heroes/villains ("A-list waves"), with colorful palettes and interesting looks are peg-warming, what do you expect the plight to be for an unrecognizable line of drab civilian/alter-ego figures? A Hasbro line of Archie characters would have a better chance at moving than many of the characters you've mentioned. That said, want whatever tickles your fancy.

Also, I only agreed with another poster. I'm not sure why you are addressing me and not them.

@TheBlueMarvel - I wasn't trying to call you out, that certainly wasn't my intent. I just used your quote because it was the recent reply I saw about the subject.

I get the "if a-list heroes and villains peg-warm, then these would too" reasoning and it does make a lot of sense. I just think that if they had a clever way of using it, like the two-packs or include other accessories that could make it into two different figures like I suggested, that Hasbro could certainly make it work. There are a lot of ways to do a civilian character that could make it sell. Heck, Gwen with the M.J. head still sells out on most websites and stores I've seen while other characters like Peter Parker pegwarm (though I think the head sculpt with the glasses they used for Peter was what made that happen, as a lot of folks who bought it took the glasses off).

Thanks for the reply back. I hope you all are having a great night and stay safe, everyone.

How would they be any more of a wasted slot compared to the garbage Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Eternals waves? Or a wasted slot compared to the cyborg Spider-Man, negative Spider-Man, and that random neon colored Spider-Man coming out later on this year?

Sure, as I said, I believe you sincerely want these figs and that many others might as well - throw me on that list for spot characters like Banner and Ross. But our numbers are only part of the pie manufacturers go after. Hasbro's Legends line is a 'play-line', meaning that much of their business is targeted at kids with a loose investment in the source material that buy largely based on how cool and visually appealing a toy might be.

Most of these young buyers won't know who an armless canon Curt Connors is, even some younger comic collectors might not recognize the significance and regard the fig as a nondescript amputee/pharma employee. The civilian slots would largely be wasted ones, in my opinion, taking up slots that could go to many of the other characters you mentioned. Zzzax, Ringmaster, Nightmare, a redrafted Abomination/Absorbing Man, or Beta Ray.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to see Hasbro implement gimmicky two-packs as I've already reached my threshold for minimal effort redecos and reused bodies. If they are going to do two packs, give me something to be excited about: The Presence and Starlight, Mad Thinker and his Awesome Android, Hammer and Anvil, Swordsman (Andreas) and Baron Von Strucker (or throw in Andrea for a family 3-pack), etc.

Also, cherry-picking Gwen and Mary-Jane and trying to extrapolate their success out to an entire wave of civilians is a stretch given their profound importance in the Spidey mythos.

How would they be "any less" of a wasted slot? I think you meant 'more', the manner in which you phrased that is confusing to me...but I'm in my cups tonight, so there's that.

Provided I'm understanding you correctly, it's very much different given that your original suggestion was for an entire wave of civilian characters versus the couple of spot selections and obligatory MCU tie-in waves you've thrown out as comparatives. Simply put, there's more recognition for movie waves because of the, well, the movies themselves along with numerous trailers and ancillary media. Kids and casuals won't know any of the people in an ALL-civilian wave and it would warm even harder than the list of underperformers you mentioned.

Specifically as it regards the parade of Spideys (that I also find annoying, and I've been a fan since age 7), if you haven't glommed onto the fact that just about any iteration of anything that remotely resembles Spider-Man will sell (even cheap bootleg knock-offs) from Mexico City to Shanghai, then maybe we should end the conversation here.

I literally said they could make a Steve Rogers Cap later this year for his 80th anniversary while giving Sam this upcoming chunk of the year. I mean it. Go back and read what you quoted from my post to Benn Roe. IT'S LITERALLY IN THERE.

As for the Retro Cap, it's only every been released TWICE. Not three times. The first was the Cap-Wolf figure and the second was the Retro Cap. When Benn Roe mentioned the definitive Captain America figure, he was talking about the 80th Anniversary Captain America. It was a Walmart exclusive back in 2019. The 80th Cap reuses a few pieces from the retro figure but it's mostly a new sculpt. It even has the scale mail sculpted on the chest. There's no reason for Hasbro to sculpt an entirely new figure when a deco change and maybe a new head would work.

I'm not attempting to speak for The Blue Marvel or anything with this post. I'd just like to respond to your comment about the Gwen Stacy/MJ retro figure.

The point that I was trying to make earlier wasn't that civilian figures don't sell. It's that there is a hierarchy to the characters and how well they will sell. The retro carded Gwen Stacy/MJ figure is a great example. Gwen and MJ are prominent members in all of the various comic books, movies, cartoons, and video games. Gwen sometimes gets left out but she's still part of it. Those two characters are near the top of the list of civilian figures that will sell. The same applies to characters like J. Jonah Jameson, Bruce Banner, Aunt May, Foggy Nelson, and several other characters. But as you work down the list, the fan demand becomes smaller. You have a more niche audience. Characters like Randy Roberston or Dr. Connors just won't draw the same fan appeal as Mary Jane or Aunt May. And while Robbie Robertson may not be as popular as J. Jonah Jameson, he's certainly more popular that his own son.
