It's been a while since I've posted here...so I'll chime in with my wishlist for 2022 in no particular order.
Comic or vintage based 1. Riot (comic) 2. Agony 3. Cardiac 4. Alister Smythe (Animated Series vintage card) 5. Blade (Animated "Vampire Wars" card) 6. Rogue (Outback) 7. Ultimates Iron Man 8. Bushwhacker (I want a Punisher based wave in general.) 9. Menace 10. Swarm MCU/Marvel Movie Legacy figures (Purposely leaving off SM:NWH stuff cause I'm pretty sure we'll be getting that stuff soon enough...) 1. Kingpin 2. Blade 3. Batroc 4. Wolverine (X3 suit) 5. ASM 1 Spider-Man (the old figure hasn't aged well) 6. Apocalypse 7. Deadpool (Baraka version...yes...I'm serious) 8. SM3 Venom 9. Morbius 10. Sabertooth (Tyler Mane) Deluxe/BAFs 1. Spiral 2. Mojo 3. X Babies box set (or include one X-baby per figure and sprinkle it throughout a wave of 8 figures as an alternative to having a baf.) 4. Brood Queen/Brood warriors 5. Blob HASLAB 1. Cameron Hodge (Brood/Spider/techno thing...) 2. Punisher Battle Van (with Microchip!) 3. An urban dio playset of sorts...Daily Bugle, shopping mall, danger room, X mansion, street scene... |

I honestly don't think I have any motivation to do a top 10 list this year, so I'm just going to say Sentinel is the best ML figure of the year!

![]() ![]() Legends from yesterday. I'm thrilled to finally have a High Evolutionary figure (I think this is his first ever) and overall I feel that Hasbro pretty much nailed it but his left upper knee and right ankle joints are super loose so that does somewhat sour the mood. The NWH Strange is an upgrade over the IW 3-pack version but in hand I'd say it's only by a margin, either way it's a solid figure and I've enjoyed the MCU adaptation of the character so I'm happy to have a second that I can display sans magic pieces. I find it amusing that the 3-pack Strange's skirt kind of obliges you to have him in a wider battle stance but this new one's skirt doesn't really allow for much beyond basic standing.

I've finished reading Dawn of X Volume 9 and part of 10 and I'm all kinds of confused on some aspects. First off, they seemed to have gotten New Mutants in my X-Men as half of issue 7 seemed to focus on them and some King Brood egg rather than the X-Men. Okay, fine, but how about telling me why there is some dude who looks like a Brood in a business suit, talking like a normal person, and hanging out with the X-Men on Krakoa like it's a normal thing???? I want to know that story. Anyway, it was cool to see the Brood return, though issue 8 ends with Cyclops, Jean, Havok, Vulcan, and several others in space even though Jean is on Earth in X-Force issues 8 and 9. Wait, what? How is she there when she is in space too????
Those X-Force issues were a bit odd even though I did like the plant creatures. It really gave the thing a horror vibe. The New Mutants was fine too with Magma going home to an undiscovered Roman Empire city. That's cool. Cable #1 was a lot better than I was anticipating and kind of funny. So he's a different cable from the normal one? Interesting. As for the Giant Sized issue revolving around Nightcrawler, I highly enjoyed it even though I have no idea what Lockheed was doing there. Last I saw Lockheed he was with some brother and sister that saved him from drowning. They never actually showed him return to Krakoa.

I may be in the minority but what I would want the next few Haslab projects to be is team building sets of the classic Imperial Guard core members, Classic Squadron Supreme core members using the latest & newest bucks such as the retro Herc buck for classic Gladiator & Hyperion, the new Vulcan buck for other IG/SS members & the Sunfire Buck for other males members. The lean bucks can be used for Whizzer/Hobgoblin & new tooling for characters such as Warstar & Ceecil, & Earthquake, and a 16' scaled Titan.
Mattel when they had the 4HM doing the great DCUC line actually did the entire core membership of the Legion of superheroes in one box set! That's what I want the next 2 Haslab project to be! They can add stretch goals such as extra members of each team are made if certain numbers are met. |

Before I mention my Top 10 wishlist, which gets harder and harder every year considering 10 is never enough and most of the Top 10 goes to X-Men characters like Avalanche and Banshee anyway, the one thing I want Hasbro to mainly do is make a "Marvel Legends: Avengers" wave solely based on the art of the living legend George Perez. I'd include Count Nefaria for the wave's villain, Safari Jacket Wonder Man because he's overdue, some kind of Scarlet Witch ("Heroes Return" suit, maybe?) since she's Perez's favorite, Triathlon for the lesser-known character, and new figures of the Big Three - Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. I'd give Captain America an alternate smiling head, accessories of his round shield without holes in it and an his classic triangular shield, and the "scaly chainmail" look for his costume. I'd make the "Heroes Return" armor for Iron Man with an alternate Tony Stark head and the usual repulsor ray accessories. For classic Thor, I'd include an alternate bearded head, the new spinning hammer accessory the Ragnarok figure has, and add a new lightning accessory for his hammer Mjolnir.
So without further ado, because NO ONE demanded it, this is my Top 10 list. My picks may surprise you. 01.) Silver Age Spider-Man. The look of the classic red-and-blue costume I'm referring to is John Romita Sr. 60's comic book suit and the 1981 "Spider-Man" animated series costume with the chest spider emblem's legs out to the sides. I'd include an alternate civilian head of Peter Parker without glasses, alternate open hands for wall-crawling poses, and a wavy-lines "spider-sense" accessory. 02.) Jim Lee era Blue Team Cyclops. I was never able to find the previous Marvel Legends figures of the '90s suit for Cyclops and that's my favorite costume for the character. I'd include a new head sculpt, an alternate Scott Summers civilian head, alternate jacket sleeve arms, a removable jacket, and an optic blast accessory. If he has to be a Deluxe release, so be it -- I'd just love to be able to find it for a change! 03.) White Armani suit Doctor Octopus. I really want a green-and-orange/"Death of Captain Stacy" Doc Ock figure too, but with Hasbro going with figures in suits and ties lately, I feel this is more likely and it's never been made into a Marvel Legends figure before. Toss in bendable wire tentacles and I'd buy it in a heartbeat! 04.) First appearance Mary Jane Watson. Mary Jane Watson is too popular to be just an alternate head for the Retro Gwen Stacy -- she needs her own figure! I know we got the two-pack version, but I was never able to buy it. This time, I'd include a head sculpt based on her first appearance panel by John Romita Sr., a removable jacket and alternate jacket sleeve arms. 05.) Classic red-costume Daredevil. He's so overdue. I'd include a new head sculpt for ol' Horn-head, with an alternate Matt Murdock head sculpt, alternate fist hands, and accessories of his billy clubs, his walking stick and grapnel-launcher billy club. It'd likely be a Deluxe release for all the accessories, but I wouldn't mind if it we got our money's worth. 06.) Merged Professor Hulk. I hate that the Hulk is usually made into a Build-A-Figure, so I'd have a Deluxe figure of Professor Hulk in his brown jumpsuit when he led the Pantheon, a calm head sculpt, an alternate angry head sculpt and alternate clapping hands for thunderclap effect. 07.) Dr. Robert Bruce Banner. The Hulk's 60th anniversary is next year, so why not make a figure of Bruce Banner in his lab coat with a head sculpt wearing glasses, an alternate head without glasses, and some kind of accessories like a journal or lab equipment? 08.) Orange-and-black costume Leader. The previous Marvel Legends figure of Leader left me disappointed, so I'd like to see his orange-and-black costume look with the "Jiffy Pop" giant brain head sculpt. 09.) Captain Marvel II. With the popularity of "WandaVision" and 'The Marvels' movie in the works, why not make a figure of Monica Rambeau's classic comic book costume as Captain Marvel? 10.) Classic Power Man costume Luke Cage. I'm surprised Hasbro hasn't released this already. Hmm... I wonder, if this was my Top 10 for The Fwoosh, if I could only list Banner or Professor Hulk or if they would count as the same character since Banner changes into the Hulk? Anyway, there are a lot of Hulk-related figures that just barely miss my Top 10 I'd love to see made, such as Tyrannus, Ringmaster with a swirling "hypnotic" effect accessory for his hat, classic Abomination, General "Thunderbolt" Ross and Betty Ross (maybe for a two-pack?), the Absorbing Man with an accessory of his ball-and-chain, and a Jack Kirby art-based Hulk from "The Avengers" #1 that's wearing his purple trunks. Hulk needs a new Marvel Legends wave A.S.A.P. Maybe they can make a Retro wave with the box art of his 1996 animated series? Other figures I'd love to see Hasbro make that barely miss my Top 10 include the Gold Team/'90s costume for Colossus, a classic Magneto with better head sculpts, the previously-mentioned "Death of Captain Stacy" costume and glasses look for Doctor Octopus with an angry head sculpt, an alternate smiling smugly head sculpt and bendable wire tentacles, sold-separately figures for Jim Lee/Gold Team Jean Grey and classic White Queen, a classic Mystique that isn't a store exclusive, classic purple-and-blue costume Hawkeye with a shrunken Ant Man on an arrow accessory, and an updated classic Mysterio with a new improved cape and fishbowl helmet and alternate civilian heads of Quentin Beck and Daniel Berkhart. What do you guys think of my selections? Last edited by StuartGreen2019; 12-27-2021 at 01:42 PM.. |

My top ten wishlist for 2022:
1. Monet (HoX/PoX) This version of her uniform is perfectly crafted to get us swapable parts for her human look and her Penance form. She is currently my #1 X-men want. 2. AoU Scarlet Witch After getting MCU Quicksilver this version of Wanda is a must have for me. I have cosplayed this look. I wear my coochie coin pendant similar to hers everyday. And with all her new found popularity I finally have hope that she will get made...eventually. She is my current #1 MCU want. 3. The Ancient One (MCU) After seeing the awesome Wong we are getting in the MoM wave I want a Tilda Swinton Sorcerer Supreme very much. She totally needs to come with her awesome magical fan constructs! 4. Psylocke (Outback Armor) I want a real Betsy Braddock (not this creepy body swap ninja crap) figure asap. I love my "Kwannon" Psylocke figure but I will never buy another ninja style Psylocke. If I can't get her armored look, I would take a first X-men appearance or even a Captain Britian (modern). We need British Betsy! 5. Wiccan (Gillen era YA or Current) The first male figure on my list, Billy is long overdue for an update. His star-scape look is so cool and iconic and Hasbro has proven they can do it well with the recent Quasar figure. All the Young Avengers need to get done but Billy is my #1 6. ANAD Scarlet Witch My only double character currently on my top ten, Wanda needs a figure that isn't her leotard look being redone yet again. Her modern look is chic and witchy and I would love if she could even come with her hellfire shot gun from the Last Days of Magic arc. As my favorite character I would get any Wanda that wasn't a redo of her classic look (barring an accurate first appearance wimple look) but her design by Kevin Wada is top of my list (and not based on racist stereotypes!) 7. Destiny The Brotherhood is a major part of my collection and Destiny is another must have for me. I want her so much I even have her spot already picked out in my display! With her new found prominence in Destiny of X and her seemingly easy to do new tooling (she just needs a new head and cape maybe reuse the book accessory as her journals) hopefully she is already on Hasbro's radar. 8. Exodus Another character that I hope Hasbro is already looking into making, my biggest hope for Exodus is that they don't skimp on the shoulder pads/ornamental cape. His over the top design really mirrors his over the top zealot nature and looks fabulous too. That and I hope he is not a Walgreens exclusive! With them doing villains this year I fear missing out on any potential x-villain they might include. 9. Husk (WatX/HoX/Pox) Husk is my most out there pick in my top ten. I love the unique yellow costume she received during the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning era though I would guess she is way more likely to come in any of her GenX era costumes. The yellow look is refreshing though. Also, she needs to come in some kind of action form (preferably turning to stone). I know there were complaints of blast off Cannonball but in the end I love me an X-men figure that fully embraces the use of their powers. A non-transforming Husk would just be a bland blonde girl to me. 10. Agatha Harkness (MCU) Another long shot I think for this year as I bet they will hold off on her to synergize with her upcoming show, but Kathryn Hahn really knocked it out of the park in this role and I love the witchy way they updated her old lady gown into badass mystical robes. My villain shelf is sorely lacking without her. Runner-ups: Hulkling (King of Space!), Cypher (HoX/PoX), Avalanche, Chamber, Storm (X-men Red), Storm (Hellfire Gala), Black Widow-Yelena (MCU-Hawkeye), Marvel Boy (Gillen era) Last edited by Mimicboy; 12-27-2021 at 02:37 PM.. |

Yeah, the idea was broached after the Rancor failed.

I could get behind that action. Goblin Queen, Son of Satan, Belasco, Clea, Chthon, horned Satana, Moondragon, Titania, Malice Sue Storm, and hound Rachel Summers. Alternatively, I'd love full complements of obscure team sets like the Inhumans, Squadron Supreme, OG Guardians, Eternals, the rest of Alpha Flight, Omega Flight, the Slingers, all of Galactus' heralds, the Elders of the Universe, etc
However, the same problem exists in that I'm not sure there would be enough support. "Recency bias" is a real thing and newer fans may not sign up for what they can't easily wiki... |

If we're doing wishlists for 2022:
Comic 1. Armor 2. Echo 3. Monet St. Croix 4. Moonstone (Meteorite) 5. Wiccan 6. Synch 7. Amadeus Cho 8. Lockjaw 9. Baron Strucker 10. Justice I held off on doing an MCU version since my #1 want (Wong) is already confirmed, and movie figures are up there with Spider-Man as the big constant you can usually count on Hasbro to make. Blue Marvel also would've been there but it's pretty much all but confirmed he's coming in the Avengers wave. Last edited by hasbroherofan; 12-27-2021 at 09:45 PM.. |

Sadly, I have to agree with your quoted post, much as I would like to see the sets happen.
Hopefully Hasbro at least learned their lesson with the Rancor. I saw tons of posts and videos citing the absolutely poor implementation of the stretch goals, from both what was included and the order of their inclusion, as the leading factor for so many backer cancellations. I will be curious to see how they handle HasLab on general moving forward, no matter the line in question. |

Ditto for your Lockheed complaint. They did show Lockheed return to Krakoa. You just haven’t read it yet. Stay tuned in Marauders for Lockheed’s fate and assume that Giant Size X-Men: Nightcrawler takes place before Lockheed’s troubles on the high seas. |

I still literally have a few in stock at my shop! Modular Iron Man, stealth Iron Man, and Iron Heart from that wave all sold much better, for some reason. He’s easy to find online too, if you don’t mind waiting until January.

^ I only bought Iron Heart from that wave... and only because her unmasked headsculpt was so nice... I have a hard time passing on good headsculpts.
I am waiting for What If? Ultron though... hope we get him in the next D+ and I hope he is not the BAF... What If? Ultron was so badass IMO. |

I will be curious to see how they handle HasLab on general moving forward, no matter the line in question. While I do little toy related (or otherwise) social-media outside of the Ark, there almost seemed to be a deliberate counter-campaign to derail the effort that felt somewhat akin to the GameStop stock hilarity (in reverse). Which is all fine and good as I'm definitely a fan of sticking a thumb in the eye of corporatists with deep pockets. However, Haslabs are opportunities for fans to get something cool that otherwise wouldn't be available and the projects aren't compulsory - in or out, end of story. I bought the Sentinel for the Sentinel, Bastion and the Sent-ettes were just gravy. I bought Galactus because I need a Marvel Legends Galan before I stop collecting, having passed on the Toy Biz version because it was too small IMO. While I am very happy with Nova and Morg (very, very happy about Morg) I would have grabbed Galactus on his own without any stretch goals. It feels counterintuitive to have the tail wag the dog and be more invested in the stretch goals than the main attraction, but the people have spoken and they gets no'es Rancor. Apropos of boredom here’s my wish list for 2022:
To be diverse I’ve pick up a single figure to help complete my different displays. -Phoenix II. EXCALIBUR -Gargoyle. DEFENDERS -Moondragon. AVENGERS -She-Hulk. FANTASTIC FOUR -Marrina. ALFHA FLIGHT -Harry Leland. HELLFIRE CLUB -Triton. INHUMANS -Fixer. THUNDERBOLTS -Balder. ASGARDAINS -Namorita. NEW WARRIORS Wow, that’s three aquatic heroes. Funny. After collecting for so many years, I realise there’s not that many heroes I miss. My main displays of FF, Avengers and X-Men look pretty complete ( of course I won’t say no to a new Banshee or the upcoming classic Havok). It’s a pretty satisfying feeling actually. |

I want all those fish people as well. I'd add Attuma, Orka, and Ghaur as an aquatic Deviant offshoot.

I wouldn't mind a new classic Darkhawk that doesn't do the split wings thing... like maybe just make the wings like Falcon or Vulture... that would be good enough IMO. Then Namorita next... and I think Speedball was already rumored, so classic New Warriors is almost done.
