Got Sleepwalker from Amazon today. Though I'm not familiar with the character...its a solid figure. He will look good on my 90's shelf.

@Bo...what is a "gundam marker?"

very fine tip markers that are made for filling in the panel lines on Gundam Models (among other things)

Except for Spiral, Mojo, and Skurge, it's a pretty good list.

Sad that not a single Spider-Man villain made it on there nor Fantastic Four ones.

That list is pretty on point... didn't realize Avalanche is so popular though... guess people really want to complete the cartoon Brotherhood more than Excalibur, X-Force or X-Factor

Nice list., only two of my 10 made it, but they’re the top 2, so that’s something at least. Excited Exodus made it into the top 15/16. Interesting all three of those were my only X-Men picks too.

Cartoon Brotherhood? Mystique, Destiny, Blob, Avalanche, and Pyro were the Brotherhood from the comics. They premiered in Days of Future Past.

New x-men wave is up for preorder. August anticipated ship date.

Gotta say it…Wtf Hasbro. Was hoping this wouldn’t be the case but no screaming head for Siryn? One of the few characters that should have one you pass up!? Cheap move.

Anyways not preordering anything. Will wait til shipping date or in the wild. I’ll still get Siryn along with Vulcan and Havok at that point but this wave definitely is the weakest x-men wave yet IMO.

Avalanche was already made back in the Toy Biz days under the X-Men Classics banner, but most people count them as legends. Same scale and articulation. And technically, we already got a Wolfsbane from the swappable parts that came with the Walgreen's Dani Moonstar. With all that said, Avalanche needs a redo. His figure still looks ok, but the articulation isn't my favorite. And I think we all want a Wolfsbane to complete X-Factor.

I preordered the entire X wave, just in case. But that new $24.99 is hard to swallow. Going to be very picky from here on out.

Didn’t they literally say during the livestream where she was revealed that this was explicitly so that they could sell you a second version with the screaming head later?

I’m also not preordering any of this wave. I’m actually likely going to pass on it as an in-general, except maybe for Havok (although the lack of neck rings irritates me). It’s just a crappy wave for me, full of costumes & characters & eras I don’t care about, and bad execution on the characters I am interested in.

I’m disappointed with how lame the X-Men waves have been for me the past couple years, as someone uninterested in both AOA & the modern era. I look at my shelf and think about the exponential growth it had in 2019, and then how few additions I’ve made to it the past two years. It’s disappointing because most of what I have gotten is really cool. The worst part about lame figures is that they’ve shown us time & again that they’re capable of way better.

I’m actually feeling that way on the line as a whole. Between rising prices & what a pain it is to actually *find* these things at retail, my enthusiasm is waning. That’s coupled with a personal lack of interest in the character selection lately. Some of the only figures I have wanted have been exclusives I couldn’t find, or have been so half-assed that I didn’t bother buying them.

If anyone is after the figures and not the BAF, I POd the whole wave except Wolverine and I'm only keeping Siryn. I want the rest gone before they even arrive-and they can go CHEAP. Get at me

First, Sleepwalker just arrived!!!

Secondly, I was surprised to see the X-Men wave was still available in full on Pulse and then after I ordered them all I realized they were $25 each. I'll keep the preorder for now, but I'm not sure I want them at price.

They're $24.99 at Hasbropulse but $22.99 at Amazon and Target.

I can only afford to preorder exclusives from Target. Their holds on my bank account are nerve-racking.

Use PayPal. The authorization stays there and doesn't affect your account until the actual charge goes through. I'm currently doing that with the Python Patrol/ Tiger Force stuff.

I think the hope that some (including myself to a point) were holding out was that maybe "later" meant when they showed her off again, in packaging. It just makes no sense why they would not include an alternate screaming head, but here we are, and they've done what they've done. While I'll still get her, as she was solidly in my top 20, I still can't help but feel disappointed at the same time.

I agree with you about the line in general. I'm going to stick to my plan and just really cut down to my specific wants. I threw out the number of 75 figures recently and I'm aiming to stick to that as much as possible - and that's if they released EVERY character in EVERY look that makes that cut. I also look at this wave and think, gosh, August or November, though we'll likely see this in June/July, but that's still halfway through the year and I just don't have a bunch of other figures I'm wanting that I've seen so far this year, maybe a half dozen.

I feel like it's very possible that 2022 may end up being the year that the production delays from Covid finally catch up to Legends, or possibly just figure selection is at the point where there ratio of what I'm getting out of what they're offering is likely entering the "end stages" of my collecting. It'll never be over, I'll probably collect in trickles until the line ends or where I have no disposable income at all. But it's definitely in that downward trend...which after nearly 17 years in, is to be expected.

Yah... IIRC in the X-men Animated Series it was just Mystique, Avalanche, Blob and Pyro. I really hope Blob looks more like the animated version though... cartoon Blob will always be my default Blob.
