Shuma-Gorath was created by Robert Howard in one of his Conan stories, so while Shuma has shown up in Marvel books throughout the years he technically belongs to Heroic Signatures. It's just that Marvel and Heroic Signatures have an ongoing deal to use the name. Apparently this deal didn't extend to Marvel Studios and they didn't want to bother getting permission for the name since the creature is only in one scene so they dug up the name of a sort of similar monster Namor fought once.

I don't really care what any one is calling him, I just know I want one. But thanks for clarifying. That's been the most clear concise explanation I've read.

I was not a fan of the cell shading, but when I so the retro Spiderman up close, it was really done well, and I got my first cell shading figure…Hope I’m not going down that rabbit holes for these type of figures, and I must say, I do like the Venom also…

Head is a bit small, but overall I'm very happy with this head swap.

^ A bit? That reminds me of like Bob Uecker in Major League saying the wild pitch was just a bit outside.

Received a processing notice overnight for the Heralds 2-pack. It appears we will be seeing them shortly.

Hm. /s Overall, very happy with the reveals! Three-packs look great, only reason I am on the fence is because I have no attachment to those looks. Blob is fine, happy to have him. Kraven looks awesome, would have preferred an update of his classic look. Spidey looks terrific. Rogue is amazing, cannot wait to pre-order. X-Men wave is a really weak line-up for me personally, but Corsair is an all-time want, so he makes up for it! Hope EBay prices aren’t too bad on Ch’Od. |

That Blob is Awesome! I'm digging the new headsculpt on Psylocke. Fang and Corsair for the win! No interest in KID Omega,Emma or cyke...so I'll be selling/Trading those figures off. Outback Rogue looks good...looking forward to getting outback Psylocke!

I gotta say, I do always love an X-men focused reveal show and today delighted and disappointed me.
The Blob figure looks amazing, love the open mouth, and will definitely be buying him asap. Super suprised by the Outback Rogue! I love her hair sculpt and cant wait for an offical 6 inch version of this look as I custom made my own 3 3/4 in version of her for my Marvel Universe collection. Chamber looks so rad! Still passing on the 3 packs but excited for the eventual yellow/green Banshee. Passing on Corsair too but he looks great. My disappointment comes from the new wave they showed. It is a good line up for me, most of the figures look okay to great, but where it drops the ball is in which looks they decided on. M is fine as I will use the body to custom a Husk and the head on a different body for M. I am throughly saddened that I will need to do that though as I was really hoping for a modern M/Penance combo fig. What is up with the Kid Omega figure though? Terrible costume choice. Kid Omega needs to look like a punky rebel not X-force turned the Matrix. Dig the psychic gun and glasses but it should have been a shotgun style. Overall shocked by how much I don't like these versions of M and Kid Omega. Non-diamond form Emma and Bland Cyclops feel like duds to me too. No optic blast? Why is Emma's head so big? |

Any ideas on who the next X-Men wave Build-A-Figure might be? I'd go for Abyss, Mikhail, or an updated Holocaust/Nemesis, all from the Age of Apocalypse comics.

Apparently I missed a livestream.
Looks like it is all X-Men stuff outside of animated Kraven and a new video game Spidey. Blob and Rogue are must buys and I guess since I've gotta get one three pack for Banshee I might as well get the other. Forge looks weird though. No interest in whoever flaming face dude is, Monet, not that White Queen, but I'll probably pick up Fang and Corsaid on discount. When do they all go up for sale? Can they be bought on Amazon or BBTS? I'm done with Pulse since they now charge for shipping without a premium membership.

Hehe. Buddy, youre like me. Thinking the same thing aobut Abyss and Holocaust even with my Generation X dream list which CHamber came true though.
Not just Abyss but there's also AOA Gambit and AOA Shadow King where he was in a jar the whole time anyway. at least we got AOA Colossus where he was the build a figure which made sense |

Based on the end of stream teases we're getting a Cr'reee so it really seems like Ch'od is the strongest contender. Corsair is in the wave so they could use that as a theme link, maybe the other Starjammers will just be a box set like how they knocked out the core Alpha Flight in one go. I personally really don't want to see the other AoA characters being made the BaF for a non-AoA wave and I imagine anybody who doesn't care as much about the AoA probably wouldn't care for that too much either.

Here’s me hoping the BAF is Emplate. But also not because I don’t really want to buy this whole wave. But i see how the Bonebreaker wave went down. I caved when they started being in stock
Monet looks weird in the face though. She’s the main one I would buy so I’m hoping she looks better in production |

I want to see them release the rest of the Starjammers, especially Hepzibah. If they use new molds for Ch'od, maybe we can finally get a really good classic Abomination or at the least A-bomb.

The next Abomination figure needs to be as big or even slightly bigger than the Hulk figures we got before, maybe use the gamerverse body mold with some new sculpts for a classic comic book appearance, like his blue trunks.

It depends on how big the Ch'od figure is goning to be, marvel legends collectors were not happy with the previous classic Abomination figures that came before, the Build-A-Figure from one of the Captain America waves was a little too short compared to a figure like 20th anniversary Hulk, the Raft box set figure was just a re-paint, the Toybiz figure is outdated, and the Marvel Select figure was way too big and has very little to almost no articulation.

Abomination is suppose to be bigger and stronger and taller than the Hulk, that's how he's described in all of marvel media, in the comics, the cartoons, the video game, even the movies. Just as Wolverine is described as being short, as his namesake suggests.
