Well, perhaps we need more price increases?
Let me play my smallest violin for them.

Of course it had weak results. With gouging price increases, shitty windowless packaging, figs with little to no accessories, completely idiotic case packs ( one character percase with baf waves? ) and horrendous distribution its no fucking wonder their sales suffered and as well it should. Hopefully the higher ups at some point get their heads outta their asses and put shit back to were it was. Thier new strategies are not working,

So much for hoping that quality control will make a comeback.

After seeing more photos of the figures, I am a little disappointed with the pins, but Hasbro still got me on this one. The Hyperion figure, I just wish they would have done his arms pinless, but the rest look good to me, he looks like he has a little more size than the last release of him way back when. On Doctor Spectrum, they could have paid more attention to detail to him, like giving him pinless legs and painting the armpit joint to match the figure’s paint scheme. But he does have a one thing going for him. This is the first time he has been made, just like that Fallen One figure I became a sucker for in that 2 pack that included Terrax. And, I loved seeing Doctor Spectrum on the Avengers Assemble cartoon.

Hyperion looks good but I’ll wait for the inevitable black and good repaint. My Hickman Avengers display needs some new additions.

I wanted to know because I was thinking, if the Marvel Legends team at Hasbro were to do the Ghost Rider Haslab all over again, they would have gone with Danny Ketch's Ghost Rider and his Hellcycle instead of Robbie Reyes and his Hellcharger, the tiers would be Blackheart, classic Vengeance with his Hellcycle, and Mephisto.

Just a thought.

If we’re splitting hairs this technically is the debut of this version of the character. The cape and boots mark this as the modern Earth-616 Hyperion, not the classic version the previous toy was based on.

In summation to that ad copy:

Imagine being this stupid.

Harbinger, the bulk of Hasbro's profits come from board games and WOTC. Their problems are people going back to work, same people not having any money, and missteps with EOne and D&D.

Thinking that case packs and windowless packaging are why the had to cut 1000 jobs just proves you spend too much time posting garbage in an Internet forum and not enough time reading.

Definitely going to need this Faux-Wonder Woman figure in the Legends line-up now.

Well BBTS was pretty cool about the Blob thing. I asked if they could include him in my POL shipment since it hadn't been shipped out yet. They couldn't, so they've given me store credit to pay for his shipping.

Wow. The label for that old Hyperion in the display says Wave 1, 13! I think that was the Hit-Monkey wave... I remember the first Marvel Legends I ever bought was Hit-Monkey Archangel... can't believe that was 10 years ago! That means I have been officially collecting Marvel Legends for a decade now. Oh gawd... I feel like that Matt Damon/Saving Private Ryan old man morphing .gif. Also kinda crazy to think you sometimes need to wait a decade to get a figure upgrade... even though I guess this is a different version of Hyperion.

Time goes by and it definitely hits ya. Less than three years til I hit the 20 year mark with legends, barring a random Thor I bought in 2003. I know I’m guilty of harping on thr things I still want, but taking a look back at how far the lines come and characters we’ve gotten and l find it pretty amazing.

When I started collecting the line seriously, thinking about what I hoped to see, and the point where ToyBiz left off and even where Hasbro left off before the ROML, I don’t think there’s more than a handful of characters or looks that was too high up on my list that haven’t gotten a figure or redo. Still waiting for a Hasbro comic Mandarin though, one the last really bad ToyBiz figures to need redo or new outfit

Yep, actually love how blatantly they leaned into the on the nose WW aesthetic with this costume design. Would love to see a figure down the line.

So we're going to get a classic Wonder Woman from Hasbro Marvel Legends before we get one from McFarlane DC Multiverse.

Has anyone else gotten any updates of the upcoming Retro X-Men figures? I preordered the three I wanted from Amazon, and while Wolverine and Longshot are still due in April, Avalanche is supposedly arriving on Wednesday. Which is great, he's the one I looked forward to the most, just interesting it's just him. Not complaining about that either, just making an observation. Of course, he hasn't shipped yet either, so that may not happen.

My orders of Avalanche, Dark Phoenix, and Spiral shipped by BBTS. They also got Blob instock.

EDIT:

Well shit, my POL arrived from BBTS some time today. I just opened up the front door to check the snow and found the box on my doorstep.

The worst part was, I was in my living room all day and FedEx never once knocked on the door.

That’s likely deliberate and might’ve even been part of the retail agreement. Pulse had been getting things out sooner than other outlets immediately following the debacle that was the Engine of Vengeance: Haslab. Now they’ve seemingly reversed course and could be courting distributors with delayed fulfillment for Pulse orders providing timed-exclusivity. Same old, same old. Just when you thought one particular outlet had become reliable, inexplicably, especially considering the reference is the online resource for the manufacturer itself, the delivery gets staggered. These are the ‘thousand cuts’ that kill longstanding enthusiasm as much as any other shortcomings.

Why fuck around with people that have already placed orders for your shit? We’ve already acted in good faith and ordered ahead of release…frustrating.

I feel like they just miss out on me giving my money directly to them. If I find stuff in stores, I buy it and cancel the preorders. I think I'm just being impatient. I'm really not in a rush I suppose.
