That's the whole reason I can no longer justify a Pulse Premium account. They were getting too many things last. At this point, I'll just eat the shipping cost if it is something that is 100% limited to Pulse.

Pulse still is getting in new stuff fairly regularly and on pace with most outlets. But not with everything, anymore than those other outlets. BBTS got a lot of stuff in first this time, but a few months ago they seemed to be the ones who were always now dead last. The point is trying to pick and buy from the guys who will always be first is a fruitless endeavor, because without fail someone somewhere is always going to get the stuff before you do. So in the end just learn patience.

I opened up Dark Phoenix and Avalanche yesterday. Not really sure how I feel about Avalanche having pupils, but it is nice to at least have an Avalanche figure in my collection. I do feel that he isn't wide enough, though. He's cool for what he is and the paint apps are nicely done.
As for Dark Phoenix, aside from the yellow boot thingy being shorter on the right side than the left side, she is really nice. Initially, I had planned to put the old Dark Phoenix head on her, but the new head is exceptional. I love the way they painted the hair along with the face. I do prefer the yellow eyes on the other one. Nevertheless, the pinless legs and arms, along with the double jointed arms, and the new sash make it a superior figure overall. I will miss the dark wash shading the old one had.

I’m assuming that you’re attempting to assuage the typical grumbling that arises when these routine inconsistencies transition from the placid heating of water to a full-on rolling boil. However, noticing patterns is what we’re encouraged to do in the process of discovery of anything and Hasbro’s inconsistency has been the only constant in this equation. While I may not know, specifically, why Hasbro cannot seem to get a handle on the logistics of delivery after 16 years, I do understand the relationship between a manufacturer and their on-line/brick & mortar retailers and can opine without delving into rank conspiracy. Exclusivity, even a briefly timed one, is a huge carrot for foot-traffic (or on-line traffic, for that matter) in this age of FOMO and it represents a huge bargaining chip for Hasbro. My grousing has less to do with lacking patience, I have plenty of that, and more to do with being disgruntled because I’ve been a good faith actor for many years and have grown tired of the antics surrounding release windows. At some point, it became obvious to me that Hasbro’s system isn’t broken, it’s designed to be this way. And this has little to do with where I’m currently at as a collector as I've voiced my opinion about this for many years. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 01-31-2023 at 08:39 AM.. |

I opened Spiral. She's pretty cool for being a character I know almost nothing about. I'm disappointed that Hasbro only gave her two additional hands, and hands for solely the left side at that. A couple for the right side would have been nice.

Spiral is an awesome figure. It's up there with Kang, classic Herc, and a couple of others in faithfulness of translation.

Found these cool universal figure stands; I may try these to help display my collection better... I have so many figures and the foot pegs become an issue; these look like a good solution.
I also like that this has mounts for the extra heads. Found this on Etsy... |

Yeah, dude, it really is pretty standout and easily up there with the Ultrons, classic War Machines, and other high-water marks. I think it was Ben Roe that said it was the best ML ever made. While that’s pretty lofty and a perch I reserve for Galactus and the Sentinel, Spiral is definitely up there.

The Walgreens Moonstone with more defined arms would be the perfect body for a red & gold X-Factor Polaris. Since I've customized my own, I'd also accept the more popular navy & gold Polaris that immediately succeeded it.

Thanks to all for your opinions on Spiral. She seems to be the real deal. From all the positives comments on here, I went a pulled the trigger on her on BBTS. Thanks folks. I been a long time since a ML figures has been hyped so much in my view.

Watched Wakanda Forever. I wish they had made figures of Okoye and that other girl in their midnight angel costumes They were awesome. I also think Namora and Queen Ramonda should have figures

After getting my Longshot a couple weeks ago, I finally just made my purchaces for Avalanche and Spiral and should be getting them by Thursday!!! I have been on the hype train for Spiral since our first glimpse of her and cannot wait to finally have her! I even have an extra magic effect for her (really should have switched out one sword for an effect, she is a sorceress after all) and am working on making a custom teleportation circle too. I really want to try to get her in a nice dancing pose, like how her magic was portrayed on Wolverine and the X-men.
@ThorOdinson123, I too would really like the Midnight Angel armors. Personally I am more interested in Aneka (I loved the cool energy knives she used versus the spear. Made her really stand out.), but both in a two pack together would be nice. |

Ooh yeah. Namora and the midnight angel suits would be great. So I got an email from amazon saying my Dark Phoenix is arriving earlier than expected for next Monday rather than April. That was a joint order with Spiral. But Spiral seems to be shipping later still in April. I wonder if there is solid cases of only certain characters getting through first or if there was simply too much demand for Spiral and mine is one being fulfilled later. Either way doesn't make a difference so long as Amazon doesn't outright cancel or something.
P.S. I haven't been too active lately because much like a lot of you I'm rethinking a lot of things and pulling back. What I buy, how much, and from who? Unlike many of you I'm also 25 and I look at all these boxes and figures everywhere and I wonder if I've been focusing too much on unimportant things and wasting my youth or something. There's some things I'd still like but maybe it would be better to close up shop. One of the things I've always wanted to do, even since I began collecting, is make a big diorama playset of The Bar With No Name. Maybe I can focus on that. |

Thanks dude, I’m glad you enjoyed it! That said, David Chiang, Alexander Fu Sheng, Gordon Liu, Feng Lu, Chen Kuan-tai, Lau Kar-leung, Chiang Sheng, Lo Mang, Sun Chien, and Phillip Kwok all come before Jackie in my book and that’s without mentioning Bruce Lee.
