![]() Actually got Secret Wars Wolverine at the beginning of the month but just now posting about it. Right away I'll say I really like the smirking head. We have a lot of stern or snarling Wolverine portraits so I like that this adds some diversity to the mix. Y'know Logan had fun drinking with Kurt and Piotr, and when he got into a fight with punks he knew he would beat he would totally give a "this'll be fun" grin. Alternatively then the unmasked Logan head is a serious, stoic portrait. I wasn't sure about the hair from online images but in-hand the volume of it seems much better. I overall prefer the much darker brown coloring for this costume but I think they were really aiming for his depiction in Mike Zeck art (Secret Wars obviously but also Captain America Annual) and in those books, as well as others, it was a much lighter red-brown. I passed on the '97 version since I didn't need another tiger-stripe figure so this is my first version with these claws, and yeah these are a serious upgrade.

Yep I think this figure came out good. I don't like the unmasked Logan head as much as other releases though. I hope a darker brown pinless Wolverine gets released soon.

Some initial impressions on my new Morbius:
Sculpt is excellent. The accessories are extensive and I love him coming with science gear even though I'll rarely use them. The different heads are exactly what I wanted to see from Hasbro. The box is a bit misleading as it shows him having hands to grip his dagger and hammer at the same time, but one hand is sculpted to hold the gun, not the dagger/hammer. The cloth goods feel like they will tear over time. Despite being cloth, they still couldn't get his cape comic accurate. It's supposed to be like Spidey's webwings, instead, they made it a regular cape. However, the biggest let down is it has a wire in it, but it can still barely be posed as the wire just isn't strong enough to flair out. I was hoping I could at least open it to follow his arms 90 degrees outward. NOPE!! He comes with a stand that has an arm attachment for flying, but there isn't a hole for the arm to stick into.

You have to remove the foot peg in the stand to attach arm.

Dan Yun said on X/Twitter that there is more Marvel Legends to come in February, any idea on what day?

Okay, so the positives of Cap 4 (note, some slight spoilers):
The actors who aren't Esposito. They tried really hard to make the material work even when it was garbage. The character arc of Sam and Joaquinn trying to fill their predecessor's shoes. Was not boring. Negatives: It felt like they were trying to remake The Winter Soldier but didn't have the writers to do so. What was the fucking point of having the Serpent Society in this film when they were just generic military goons???? Esposito was fucking wasted and he clearly did it only for that Disney money. ADR was bad. There were a lot of areas where the audio pitch changed as if it was recorded later. I thought Diamondback was supposed to be in this film????? The action scenes were awful. How the fuck does a Sunday morning Japanese children's TV show have fight choreography that looks vastly superior to a movie with this kind of budget???? Shoddily edited together. You can definitely tell what scenes were added in later. None of this movie jives with Falcon and the Winter Soldier Where the hell was Sharon Carter???? I was hoping she was going to be the "broker." Leader looks worse than the pictures made it look. He's not even remotely comic accurate in design. Liv Tyler still hasn't learned out to actually talk and not whisper every friggin piece of dialogue she says. What is up with the MCU trading villains with each other? First, we have an Iron Man villain in Shang-Chi. Then a Captain America villain in Ant-Man. And now a Hulk villain in Captain America. What next, Annihilus shows up in DareDevil? Apocalypse battles Jessica Jones? Stop intermixing the villains!!!!!

My biggest disappointment. I wonder if there's an Indiana Jones style warehouse full of MCU Diamondback figures fated to never see the light of day. I mean the film was originally slated to release last May and the character's design was ready enough to get a McDonald's happy meal release last summer.

Jesus, that is so fucking lame. No wonder the movie felt very disjointed.
I want a director's cut!!

Yeah, just genuinely interested to know how far Hasbro had gotten with the figures for this movie before the change in cast and story.
We know the film originally had a release date of May 2024, so Hasbro had to start planning figures 8 months to a year before that. We also know that Marvel released early character designs for merchandising purposes due to Diamondback getting a happy meal toy last summer and Funko releasing their Leader pop using the now inaccurate earlier design. |

What design did Leader have originally? It couldn't be any worse than the shit they gave us.

At least he looked closer to the comics there than the poached egg they put on his head in the final version.

I am guessing we could see the main four from the 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' movie wave, a tease for the Maximum Hulk and/or rumored 'X-Men' wave based on the movies (likely for May or July, since those are when the movies got released), and maybe one of the two-packs of the rumored "Marvel" Capcom wave. They could probably tease the "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" wave too since the series is airing. |

MarvelousNews is reporting that Steve Evans from Hasbro posted an announcement for the ML livestream tomorrow on his IG. The colors and design of the announcement image are reminiscent of the promotional material used for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series. There are several Disney+ figures listed in the 2025 rumors. I'm not sure if they'll just reveal Daredevil and Punisher, or if they'll reveal all of them.
Disney Plus Figures
The only Toy Fair we've had since Covid was in 2023. Companies have doing online shows/reveals since 2020. Hasbro was always a part of NYTF in the years before Covid. |

@jwyss234 That's right, I completely forgot about that. The Disney Plus figures sound cool, especially Loki, Ouroboros and Werewolf by Night. My mistake. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Daredevil has the two Ds on his outfit.
@Veronica Mars - Maybe the Disney Plus wave will get shown. Or maybe the new "X-Men '97" wave, since all of season one has aired. Or maybe it's something new not known from the leaked listings. Whatever they choose, I'll be excited to see what they will display. |

Otherwise, they’ll be hitting stores after the movie comes out like the DP&W figures. They might tease F4: First Steps, but I wouldn’t expect to see the full wave until we’re closer to the movie. |
