Stupid MtG crossovers, I'm already tired of them, if this list is to be believed. Seems like I've gotten an answer to my wish that Hasbro not "trap B-side characters" behind this new marketing stunt: Malice will be $40.
Also, isn't the Destiny/Rogue 2pk a brotherhood release? I guess Rogue will be for those that didn’t want Destiny, and likely feature an extra head with softer expression so that the fig can be used in Paul Smith era Xmen line-ups. ![]() |

Dragon Man is incredible; 10" tall, massively muscled, with textures everywhere. Unless I misunderstood the original announcement, Hasbro seems to have course corrected in real time by including two sets of wings. A second set of larger expanded wings, I assume meant to simulate flight, come with the figure and they sport a burnt orange paint on the interior side. I’m very happy I pulled the trigger on this monstrosity and Hasbro did a stellar job,
This bodes well for the creation of Magog, Orca, maybe even a FA Black Goliath, a redo of Sasquatch, or The Stranger at this scale and price-point. Good shit here IMO! Not for everyone, but a great option for people that want to add these obscure characters that don’t have mass appeal. EDIT: ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 08-02-2025 at 09:39 PM.. |

Wow Dragon Man really does look nice. Thank you for sharing pictures TBM!
I really now want an AOA Abyss figure in this format rather than a BAF. They could go wild and do wonders with his different void-ish body parts. |

The format does lend itself to many different applications. Abyss, Magog, Stranger, Orca, etc, could all conceivably find a path to production. Characters that collectors complain about occupying slots that more popular or highly requested heroes/villains could/should fill become less of an issue. If you are ok with your Sasquatch BAF, great. But if you would prefer a larger update to more closely approximate Sasquatch’s 20’ height in 6” scale, Habro can test the level of interest through this semi-bespoke format. Although, all that said, I believe only Mephisto is considered ‘made-to-order.’ Dragon Man and the ’97 Sentinel feel ostensibly similar, but might be something else in Hasbro's eyes.

Hasbro charging $15 extra for a single Marvel Legends figure in an extra wide box with a foil Magic The Gathering card makes me nostalgic for the days when Toy Biz would include an exclusive Marvel Vs. System card in a standard package at no additional cost.

Oh, I could see you displayed it without the tail. There would be no way for you to position it that close to the back of the cabinet had you not removed it. The Toy Biz version wasn't better, but, from what I've seen, I don't own one, at least it was comparatively smaller. The tail for the new Dragon Man is longer than the fig is tall.

Got 3 new glass cases tonight. They're like the length of 2 detolfs, have built in lighting, and because the frame is wood, it doesn't feel like it's going to shake apart. Of course, it's also heavier. On the downside, the shelves aren't adjustable, so I'm not going to be able fit Galactus or any Sentinels in it. The next one I order for my Marvel stuff I might just not build in the middle shelf in the top portion of the case as I don't think it will affect the sturdiness of it, but we'll see.

Agreed. My guess is a Black Bolt & Medusa two pack, but I want Triton. I think Habro should consider Black Bolt and Medusa very carefully before trotting something out. While they have done ok versions of both, they haven’t managed to nail characters that offer a fair shot at doing so. For Medusa, go big on a couple of hair accessories that double as effects for shielding and grasping/punching, along with set of ‘normal’ (hair) heads with at least one option of an emotive expression. I see three heads with one that slots into the accessories. For Black Bolt, perfect his wings, dammit! Maybe the solution is to repeat the pin technique used on Banshee using a few more connections to avoid gaps. They could also employ the same synthetic material they have been using for Storm and Banshee. Constructing the wings with thin high-tensile plastic spines for the ribbing. And, of course, update the buck to the Vulcan body, with an assortment of hands, and three different electron Kirby crackle effects for his tuning fork.

![]() ![]() August catch up post, Crossbones and Masque on the 1st and Jen arrived today. Mild complaint right away, I don't recall Masque or Crossbones ever really associating with AIM so I'm not very fond of that logo being on the briefcase. Masque's modern style porcelain artsy face came out very nice but I don't think I'll ever switch to it over her classic gold face. Crossbones was the reason I got the set and I've got no real issues. Some of the paint on his mask is a little out of the lines but the eyes and mouth are perfect so I feel like that scratchiness on the other details actually fits the character. Obviously more guns would've been great (more accessories are always nice) but he does have a decent loadout here. The explosion piece included in the set just feels like a last-minute decision to raise the total piece count. I wrote a glowing review of the Iron Man retro wave Jen that ended with me saying I'd totally get a repaint in her F4 costume and now that I have that repaint I can happily report that the charm of this figure has not worn off. The green feels a little better and the accessories/alternate parts are a notable improvement. I think for long term display I'll stick with the standard big-hair and smile, but the face on the ponytail alternate head is such a good expression too. The thumbs-up and peace emoting hands are both nice but I want to leave her with a dumbbell so if it's gotta be one then I'm picking the one that can also double as her giving someone else a silly photo experience.
