I picked up Spider-Man 2099 at Walmart today. Between yesterday and today, I've seen every figure from the wave at Walmart except for Spider-Venom.

The Sentinels did indeed show up today.

I have some issues with them as the neck gets scratched easily by the plastic around it. Fortunately, since it's black it's only noticeable when you look for it, but it still sucks. Also, one of them has the plastic that connects below the thumb no properly put together on one hand, so I have a bit of a gap. Again, nothing detrimental, but for essentially $200, that should not be happening.

With that said, I am having a blast with these guys. Them being a tad smaller and not so chunky like the Haslab ones make them just feel like better toys in my book. I actually enjoy posing them around. However, because they are lighter and have thinner feet, they are more prone to tipping over compared to the Haslab ones. They also can't hold heavy figures like Sauron as easily.

I was kind of hoping due to them being smaller and thinner that I would be able to fit the Haslab "Master Mold" on the same shelf with them, but sadly that is not the case. As such, I have MM on the shelf below with my FF stuff. I kind of planned it would happen that way, but still would have been nice the other.

For some reason, I thought there was more damage to the Sentinel head than the final product. Not sure why. Nevertheless, these guys are great and I'm really looking forward to do some sort of battle scene with my Claremont team since they are the whole reason I bought them.

Legends from my Chrimbus haul. I actually picked up Karnak back when they announced these two-packs but I waited on him so he could join the rest of the royal family. It's not the costume I was really hoping for but getting Rachel checks off another from my list of top-10 wants I put together when I got into the line (once Mephisto arrives next year it'll be totally scratched out), now I need to put together a new list.

I got them last year. I pre-ordered that pack the moment it went up since I basically manifested it into existence. They weren't part of this haul so I didn't include them in the picture, also my lightbox isn't that big.

I'm also quite unimpressed with them. The gimmick isn't gimmicking for me at all. I mean, what purpose do they serve? they're not for us, they're for our figures? I have no idea what they actually intended for people to do with them.

Absolutely useless. You can't even open the book, so the figures can't even pretend like they're reading it. Just looking at the cover. Total waste of plastic and effort.

I don't care about them, but I'll take anything that can act as a background piece in a diorama I can get.

When I first heard mini comic I thought mini comic like MotU but of course Hasbro is way too cheap for something like that

X-Factor inspired Mystique

Got the Cap/Venom pack while Target had it slightly reduced in price online, Guile was actually a separate find at Walmart but it's a happy coincidence that it was the same day the 2-pack arrived so I could make this into a MvC2 team. Cap was actually the big draw of the set for me since I haven't gotten a comic Steve since the Wolf-Cap figure, every one since then that was tempting was either a hard-to-find exclusive or had an irregular shield that ruined it for me. My main gripe is that he has his thumbs-up hands but no smiling portrait to make them feel like they work. The Venom is a nice figure too and it kinda doubles as the Neversoft Venom (from my other Dreamcast Marvel game of choice) but he is also the reason I waited on this pack since I wasn't leaping at the thought of a blue Venom.

I guess I am the odd ball! I like them, would have never discovered what comic "The Hound" was in if it was not for this gimmick, but she is my favorite character out of the wave, and I know absolutely nothing about her! But, now that I have her in hand, I can do some light reading on the character, thanks to the mini comic steering me into the direction to locate her in the comic(s), if that makes any sense. But, hey, never thought I would like this character over Beast, Dare Devil, and Black Widow, which are some amazing figures, IMO.

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2026 is a better, happier, and in case of "Marvel Legends" collecting a more affordable, year for everyone here on the boards.

Since I've seen Top 10 wish-lists being made, this is my Top 10 figures I hope get made in the near future:
01. Doctor Octopus (green-and-yellow classic suit with the "Death of Captain Stacy" glasses with new alternate heads and classic bendable wire tentacles)
02. Spider-Man (Silver Age/John Romita Sr. art based with a better Peter Parker head, alternate hands, and the chest spider emblem's legs out to the sides)
03. Mary Jane Watson (first appearance with a smiling head sculpt)
04. Invisible Woman (1995 "opera gloves" Fantastic Four uniform, not the two-piece version)
05. Thing (F.F. blue tank top, white belt, blue pants and white boots outfit)
06. Professor Hulk (brown suit, black belt and black boots from when he was a member of the Pantheon)
07. Leader (orange-and-black outfit with the giant "Jiffy Pop" brain)
08. Black Cat (classic with a new alternate smiling head sculpt)
09. Green Goblin (classic Silver Age with alternate Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn civilian heads, a new laughing Green Goblin head sculpt, pumpkin bomb accessory and a bat-wing shaped Goblin Glider)
10. Jubilee (Generation X uniform)

The only reason I didn't add classic green savage Hulk (with alternate heads that have better face sculpts and hair than the 20th Anniversary and Maximum figures) to my wish-list is because I'm sure we'll see a new savage Hulk soon enough and the only reason why I didn't add classic red costume Daredevil to my wish-list is because we're rumored to get a new red costume Daredevil for the second "Secret Wars" wave. I'd also love to see a new figure of Doctor Octopus in his white Armani suit with bendable wire tentacles. I'm honestly surprised Hasbro hasn't made one by now.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
