Damn, I really wanted those figures... Sadly I think we will never get those here in Brazil since our only Neca distributor is pratically only importing Pop Funko and distributing Iron Studios over all stores. November and December product lists were a joke.

The last we had from Neca was the NES alien dog and some predators in August, we had nothing from Terminator Genisys or Terminator 2 figures (And I wanted Arnold and T-1000).

The alien doesn't feature lock-click joints? Or is it more of a balance issue?

Mainly balance due to the smaller, thinner feet. Joints were pretty tight here, especially the knees. In the game the Xeno walks on his toes and has those reverse knees. On some I used the stand, others I used the tail for three point balance.

I feel like the dog alien is the same way, the joints are all good and sturdy but the part it's actually supposed to stand on are the small toe areas. Really glad these come with those bases to support them.

Yeah, those stands are really helpful. I may invest in those generic 1/10 scale stands that are going for like $2.50 each. As for the Dog Alien, I like to pose that in crawling/ attacking poses so it's a bit easier.

Both of my dogs (movie and CVG) are also in crawling/crouched positions, I feel weird making them stand upright for actual display. I don't know that the included bases are necessary for such poses but I feel more secure using them.

Yeah, I've broken the stand for one of my Dogs... You can be as tactile as you like, the figure itself creates pressure on it unknown to you and SNAP.

I'll probably buy the Xeno but I'm not that bothered by the Ripley figures.

I tried when shooting. It didn't budge. Figured it was molded closed in final production. Closer look tonight, after people asked on Twitter. Mine is just paint locked. Just need to take a hair dryer to this one for a few seconds when I get a chance.

Great review and great shots as usual. Thanks, Joe.

Be careful of scratching paint on Compresion Suit Ripley’s face.
Yikes! The problem is really obvious here (photo #40). Now I know to be careful. I'm looking forward to this spacesuited figure. I love spacesuits.

She features plenty of articulation, including a ball jointed mid-section hidden well in the jumpsuit.
This sensitivity to appearance is why NECA is my favorite 12th-scale figure designer.

It is closer to 10th-scale since the 7" figure is the basis of their overall scale. The usual go to height for scaling with figures is the assumed 6' height of a "regular" person which is 72" and 7/72 is a lot more in line with 1/10 than 1/12 which is the scale of 6" figures such as the Black Series Star Wars.

Yah, you're right. I tend to expect a similar scale across different lines, hence my initial disappointment with the Walking Dead figures, although Lil' Ricky and Lil' Morgan have grown on me subsequently.

Diversity is great, but there's something to be said for common guidelines. Rgds

I kinda like how the 7" line tends to be exclusively used by collector companies like DCC, DST, and NECA. It's bigger than 6" and this allows for sometimes notably more detail to be fit in but it's not so much bigger as to always be 100% unreasonable when sharing shelf space with 6" items.

E. Ripley looks bored, A. Ripley looks nice. The alien looks great.
